Ann eventually found out that she couldn't revenge on her own. She needed some help and who was better to turn to than ireunes enemy Kendra. She found her place and paid her a visit. She knocked on the door for a while before it was opened. Kendra was shocked to see her and she was about to talk when Ann interrupted.
"Yeah I know it's me."
"What do you want?"
"Your help."
"With what?" Irene sighed and replied
"I want to deal with Irene."
"If this is a joke please don't waste my time I have better things to do"
"I'm serious." Kendra saw the seriousness in her face but she still had doubts.
"Why?"
"Can I at least come in first?"
"Okay, I guess." She came in and sat down. "Now will you tell me why?"
"Just take it that after everything, she doesn't care about me anymore."
"I hope this is isn't a prank."
"It isn't I swear." Kendra smiled and continued.
"Fine, but on one condition."
"What?"
"You get me back to the job at the industry."
"Deal" They shook hands over it and began to plan on what to do. It took time before they could find out how to get back but Ann finally got what she needed from Kevin's mouth. She found out about Felix and the club where she worked and the plan just made itself. Kendra, by chance, still had the picture that got Irene expelled so what they had to do was that Kendra would go to the club undetected , meet Felix and tell him everything that happened then and use the picture as an evidence to prove it. Then they watch them slowly draw apart. By then, Irene was already getting used to having Felix around. He really gave her the kind of vibes she needed and he was a male so she was on the safe side although she hadn't started giving him chance to get to her. One thing Irene found marvelling was that she had outplayed every other player in the game except Felix and she kept wondering why. She even tried to make him spill his secret but he wouldn't.
"Come on Felix, spill it."
"Spill what?"
"About the game."
"Face it Viso." He said with an air quote. "You can't beat me no matter how hard you try. I'm the best at this game."
"You'll see . I'll get you one day. Trust me."
"One day ." He repeated and chuckled.
Things were going on well for a while, Irene tried all she could to beat him but she couldn't. That didn't make her give up. After a night at the club, Felix was on his way home when Kendra approached him.
"Hey cutie" He looked at her and asked kind of rudely.
"What do you want?"
"Calm down, there's something you really need to know."
"Which is?"
"How do you expect me to talk to you out here standing. Let's go somewhere we can talk."
"Just call them out."
"Call who out?"
"Your fellow robbers, you can have my phone and the little money I've got. Just let me go."
"Oh no, no I'm serious about this."
"But I don't even know you."
"You don't need to. Now do you want to know the truth or not?"
"Truth about what?"
"You know for a cute guy you ask a lot of silly questions." Felix stared at her for a while before agreeing. They went to a place where they could relax and discuss.
"So what is it you wanted to tell me?"
"You know Irene right?"
"Yeah, how do you know her?"
"We were schoolmates back in the university."
"She never went to a university. At least that's what she told me."
"Well she lied. She was expelled in her second year. I guess she was too ashamed to speak of it."
"Do you really expect me to believe a total stranger?"
"I knew you wouldn't."
"Okay, if you say she was expelled then for what reason?"
"She's a lesbian and our school didn't allow that so yeah."
"Okay now I know you're just lying."
" Why do you say so?"
"I know she's a bit male like but she doesn't show that kind of behavior that lesbians do. She's been working here for some time now and I know she's straight."
"Good thing I have proof."
"Ok then, show me the proof." Kendra drew out her phone from her yellow hand bag and showed him the photo. He was a bit confused but he still didn't want to believe.
"How do I know this is not just editing and that you're not trying to poison my mind." "Well if you still don't believe me you can take the picture and confront her. That's if she won't lie to you again." Felix kept quiet for a while thinking of what to do.
"So what is going to be? Are you taking it or not?"
"Send it to me." He finally agreed and she quickly did it happily.
"Okay thanks for your time. I just wanted to save a nice guyl like you from her".she said with a nasty attitude, stood up and left him there. He sat there for a while thinking about what he just heard. He looked at the picture severally to make sure that it was her and it was. He just got tired and left the place.
Felix later gave the matter a rethink. He just decided to let it go for a while till he was sure. One thing he really hated was lesbians. it really disgusted him. That made him wonder if there were other things she lied to him about, but he waited for the right time to discover the truth. When Kendra and Ann noticed that nothing had happened, they had to resort to plan B. It was Ann's turn to act. She met him one day when he was coming back from a stroll.
"I want you to stay off my path."
"But you were the one who stopped me."
"Don't be stupid, you know what I mean." "Do I know you from anywhere?"
"I don't care. Just stop seeing Irene and leave her for me." That was when he recalled where he had seen her, from the photo.
"So you and Irene are...."
"Yeah, but you're coming in between us and if u don't stop I'll take drastic measures. We've been together for years now. We were even expelled from school but it didn't matter to us so I don't know why you'll be the one to get in the way.
"I'm sorry, I'll draw back."
"Good you better do or else..." she said finally and walked out. Everything started coming together and he started to believe what Kendra told him not knowing that it was a well planned strategy. He went home and thought of what to do. After thinking he decided to ask her to meet him at a place where they would be alone. He didn't want to confront her in the club so that he won't disgrace her. Irene thinking that it was Felix's normal 'let's go out' agreed to meet him there. When they met, she sensed that something was wrong. His facial expression could say it all.
"What's the problem?" He kept mute because he didn't know how to begin but he had to start with something.
"I thought you said that you didn't go to the university."
"Well yes."
"But I found out later that you were expelled." Irene was surprised.
"Is it true?" He asked.
"Okay yes but I didn't mean to...." He didn't allow her to finish up.
"Why were you expelled? and don't think of lying to me again." She couldn't say anything. Where would she start from to report herself. Feliz brought out his phone and showed her.
"Does this look familiar?" That was the end of it all.
"How...how did you get that?" She stuttered a little
"You don't need to know and who is this Ann to you?"
"She's the one in the picture." She had to open up.
"So you are really a lesbian?"
"What! no I'm not. It was just temptation and this was taken two years ago. I have nothing to do with Ann again. It's all in the past. It's all behind me, I swear."
"How much of your lies do you think I can condone?"
"I'm telling the truth this time."
"I trusted you Irene. You know that I hate lesbians."
"Felix come on..."
"I have nothing to do with you from now onwards." He said and was about to leave when she asked
"Okay but can you at least tell me how you found out?" He paused and kept mute for a while before answering
"Kendra told me." He simply said and left her there.
"Fuck it Kendra." She angrily went home and Kevin was around. He was seated on the couch when she stormed in and started pacing around.
"What is it this time?'
"Kendra" She said fuming with anger.
"Who is Kendra?"
"Who's Kendra huh? She's an old school friend." She said in irony.
"One that is about to become late."
"Calm down. I don't understand. What did she do? Irene explained everything to him leaving aside Ann's side of the story."
"Fuck I knew she was behind my expulsion. I just knew it. Oh Kendra I should have killed you when I had the chance. It's been a long time since I've tasted blood. Now u'll be the one to quench my thirst." She said and was leaving when Kevin tried to stop her.
"Wait Irene you can't..."
There was no point. She was already out of the living room and even if she wasn't, there was nothing he could say that would change her mind. He had never seen her that bloodthirsty at that point he was scared of his own little sister. If she says she'll do something, she'll do it no matter what.
