Oscar opened his eyes again and found his gaze on the ceiling of a hospital. He sat up immediately and pulled the drip out of his arm forcibly.
He remembered everything except for how he got here, and at the moment his brain couldn't raise the topic on how he survived.
"Finn," he jumped off the bed and rushed for the door.
As he reached for the handle the door opened unveiling his aunt, a woman in her early forties. He backed off, moving backwards to his bed with his eyes locked on her.
"He's awake," she stuck her head outside the ward and yelled. Then she stepped in with a stern expression.
"What in the world where you doing on the site of a drug operation?" she interrogated him.
At minimum Oscar expected a 'Are you alright?' before any scolding, but apparently his old witch never misses an opportunity to show she doesn't give the slightest concern about him.
"Are you deaf?" She approached his bed menacingly. "What were you doing at the site of an illegal drug operation?"
Her husband who's a cop entered the ward the same second, "What'd he say?" He asked her.
"He haven't said a damn word," she started hitting the tip of her shoe against the ground. "She was running out of patience."
"I'm taking him to the station."
Fear gripped Oscar.
"Uh-uh," she blocked her husband who approached Oscar. "First of all he answers my questions. Then you can take him wherever you want."
"Mr Rife, what were you doing at the site of an illegal drug operation?" she asked again.
"I was… I was…" Oscar stuttered. "I was creating a research piece about abandoned factories. It was a school project."
His aunt erupted into a loud mocking laughter, "You think I'm stupid enough to believe that? I can tell when you're lying boy."
"I swear, I'm telling the truth," Oscar defended.
"You better hope you are cause I'd ask the school board," she turned around and headed for the door, slamming it behind her.
"As soon as you check out of the hospital we're coming to pick you up," her husband told him and left.
"Are those your parents?" a young female nurse entered as soon as he left.
"No, just some people who feed off me through the government," he sighed and lay flat on the hospital bed.
"The government?" she dropped her note and checked his drip.
"Yes," he affirmed. "They gave me a scholarship to a school with kids way above me. And then they pay her to cater for my needs."
The nurse seemed confused, "Why does the government take care of you?"
"My dad is a scientist, he died working for them in a classified operation. At least that's what they called it."
"And your mom?"
"She left as soon as my dad died," he told nonchalantly.
"I'm sorry about that."
"Yup. Now I guess it's her elder sister's turn to torture me. One at a time, all of them," he scoffed bitterly.
"Can't you report her to the government?"
"It's been 12 years," Oscar waved off her suggestion. "They've forgotten about me. At this point I'm just another bill they owe, nothing to worry themselves about as long as their computers remind them to pay."
"Well that's really sad for a sixteen years old. Your vitals are working perfectly you can check out anytime... What happened in there?" she questioned him with a bit of shock in her eyes. "They found you amongst the ashes of the old sugar factory but you weren't hurt."
"I don't remember. Did they find my friend?" hope lingered in his tone.
"Yes. He's in a coma," she headed for the door.
"Is he gonna be okay?"
"We'd try our best," she left the room.
Oscar sighed and looked up to the ceiling when a set of lines appeared before his eyes on a green tap.
{Healing complete}
He jumped off the bed and looked around in surprise. The green tab followed his vision.

"Refill Elixir?" Oscar seemed even more confused by the quest tab.
But it was all beginning to make sense as his brain put together the pieces.
"It's like a game," he said with his eyes stretched wide open. "It's like a video game…but it's all in my head."
He navigated to the Inventories and found that everything was locked except one…
{Flameo}
{Confirm equip}
{Weapon equipped}
A whip made of flames suddenly appeared in Oscar's palm to his surprise.
Oscar's heart jacked up and his breathing intensified at the first thought that the fire will burn his arms. But then his eyes froze on it, a brief moment of Oscar discovering his immunity. He clenched his hand and grabbed it tightly.
From out of the blue the emergency lights at the hospital switched on and filled the area with white and red ambiance, simultaneously a loud danger alert followed with horrifying screams of people being slaughtered immediately filling the air.
Oscar rushed to the door to check. It was the disoriented humans that he's been seeing around recently, they've grown in number and transformed into full zombies.
But something was different about these zombies, their eyes were a mixture and red light and darkness, and they had superstrength and could smash walls and doors.
A new tab appeared before Oscar's eyes.
{Main quest: Kill all Grave-walkers before they break out of the hospital}

{4:58}
A countdown began.
"Oscar," his nurse ran to him with blood all over her white gown. "If their teeth touches you, you'd become one of them. C'mon let's go." She grabbed his hand and pulled.
Oscar pulled her behind him and called forth his flame whip, "Stay behind me."
