They are here in the hut with Jenny and her. The space isn't huge, but they can move around freely. The hut contains two rooms, a living room, and a kitchen. They quietly arranged their belongings and prepared themselves for what might happen.
Jenny and Mikaela only have one room. The room that Jenny and Mikaela share isn't small; in fact, it has a double-decker bed with Jenny sleeping on the top bunk.
"Jenny," Mikaela called out to her.
She simply turned to her. "I won't force you to come with me, because I'm just worried about you." Mikaela said.
Jenny didn't want to add to that anymore, because she knew what would happen. She heard her sigh. She carefully descended the stairs.
Jenny suddenly tapped her when she got down. "Don't worry, I'm also confused about what really is in that notebook." Jenny said to her.
"I simply don't want you to suffer; you've already made so many sacrifices." She said sadly.
"That's why all the sacrifices we've made must yield results." Jenny smiled at Mikaela.
They heard a knock; they immediately opened it. Felix just looked at the two of them.
"Are you two okay over there?" Felix asked them.
Felix saw that Jenny was simply nodding in response.
"Okay, I need to go now. It says goodbye to us, as it still needs to prepare for the job it is about to start; they don't know what it is planning." When her brother had left, Mikaela stared at Jenny.
"What does your brother do here, Jen?" Mikaela just ended up asking her.
Jenny just sighed at her question. "You'll find out too, Mikaela." She said.
They stepped out of their room; they are now in the living room, discussing what they need to do once they enter the Fuego mansion. Now, they have a place to go first; they will observe the mansion where Mikaela grew up and came of age.
The sun is about to set, so this is the time they will go to the mansion. They won't go inside completely yet; she just wants to see the entirety of their mansion again first.
Felix has already left, and it's just the two of them, Jenny and her. They went out.
"Here, we'll pass through here." She pointed to a road she knew well. She just nodded and followed them. They also carried a flashlight to protect themselves from the darkness during their surveillance.
Jenny silently trailed Mikaela, traversing a silent landscape as the light and darkness battled each other.
Abruptly, the memory of the night she and Chesca had fled returned to her.
Sister! Sister! Chesca called out, breathless, as she followed her. Sweat was pouring down, with only the light of the moon serving as their guide through the dense forest.
We're almost there, Chesca, just a little more patience. She immediately helped her sister, knowing that she was exhausted.
They heard rustling coming from the dense forest and footsteps heading in their direction; they could already hear voices, so both of them became alarmed.
Mikaela swiftly guided Chesca to a location where they would remain unseen. They were discussing where they might be hiding.
They need to reach the meeting place where Fernan is waiting to go to the city.
She wanted to cry, cry, because her two siblings were in the warehouse, but she held back her tears then because they needed to be strong.
They only heard a gunshot echoing. Not far from their direction, she noticed that Chesca covered her ears. It was clear that she was scared; her hands were trembling, and she noticed that she was crying quietly.
She noticed that there were no more people around, so she quickly pulled Chesca so they could leave. During the meeting that was discussed, she immediately recognized Fernan's companion; it was Vince who picked them up, not Fernan.
Where is Fernan? Mikaela asked, scared.
Vince scratched his head and pushed them inside without a word.
Continue on; do not waste Fernan's sacrifice by trying to escape. Vince immediately closed the car window.
Felix and Jake are waiting for you. Vince whispered to them.
They only felt the car start moving, taking a different route to avoid an encounter with her brother Giovane's men.
I didn't even get to see my two siblings. She felt sad as she reflected on her situation.
"----Kaela!"
"Mikaela!" she heard someone calling her name.
She looked at her companion.
"Are you okay?" Jenny asked her, worried.
Mikaela's past consumed her again, and she could only sigh at that moment.
She touched her forehead.
"Sorry, Jenny." She simply asked for an apology from her companion.
"Is this it?" Jenny asked her.
A large mansion immediately greeted her sight; her heart suddenly raced upon seeing her home again.
The surroundings of the mansion were very quiet, enveloped by the various scents of flowers that greeted anyone who entered them.
Mikaela turned to their large gate; she suddenly saw three children playing outside it, oblivious to the world, and their smiles were irreplaceable by any wealth in the world.
Her mother watched them, filled with love. The children, unaware of what awaits them.
Jenny suddenly pulled her.
"Be careful, they have CCTV here." Jenny looked around.
Mikaela! Please, not now! You're in the enemy's stronghold, and don't even think about the past anymore. She scolded herself for what she had done.
"I'm sorry," she simply apologized.
Mikaela noticed that Jenny just tapped her. This person is so kind; even though she is hesitant, she is still ready to help.
The darkness has set in, and only the lights inside the home they are currently visiting are flickering.
The only sound she could hear was the chirping of insects. She first studied the path that she and Jenny would take, and she realized that she needed to be careful.
Be strong, Mikaela.
She scanned her surroundings and quietly pondered.
She noticed that their home had changed, but she still knew the possible escape routes for her and Jenny.
