Breaking Through

"It is time to counterattack!!"

I shouted as I launched other two [Dark Spheres] warped with [Force].

Controlling so many big objects was not an easy feat at all, but I knew if I stopped, it would be over for me.

I kept it for what looked like an eternity, but at some point a question came to mind.

"Hey, how come my MPs are not running low anymore?"

[Ah, for two reasons. One is because you are constantly leveling up, and the second one is because I'm using [Sin of Gluttony] with the [Dark Sphere].

"Wait. What? Before, I was not recovering when I leveled up! Why can I do it now?"

[It's a feature of the new system.]

"I see, and since when are you using [Sin Of Gluttony]? How come I can use it with other skills?"

[I started using it from the third [Dark sphere] Well, most probably you didn't notice because you were focused on the spiders. To answer the second question, most of the unique skills can do something like this, but doing so is a taboo.]

"Eeeh? Weren't you the one that was worried about the taboo title? And why is it taboo?"

[Because it will evolve the skill, the unique skill was used on. And you already got it, so what is the problem?]

"Wait, it will evolve the skill?"

[Just look at your stats!]

I checked my stats, and indeed the [Dark Sphere] skill has evolved into the [Gluttonous Dark Sphere].

And yes, the [Taboo] title went up two levels.

"This is good and everything, but what will you do about [Taboo]?"

[Since we are in a new system, they can't easily find us unless you go around saying you have this title.]

"True... Are you giving me the green light to make more experiments with the skills?"

[Yes, you can do as you please.]

"Well, it will not be an isekai if one doesn't have any cheat skills."

"Anyway, let's try the new skill out!"

As I activated the skill, a gigantic, angry, black p*c-man was formed.

It was not just stronger than the previous one, but with the combination of [Sin of Gluttony], now it can also take the stat of what it eats and add it to mine.

"Wow, this skill is too strong!"

[And it can still get even stronger than this.]

"Really!? Once we finish here, I'm going to experiment with [Sin of Gluttony]."

So I started the deadly p*c-man game, by controlling the many balls and making them eat the spiders.

"Sadly, they are only taking their stats and not their skills as well."

[That is a feature of the skills derived from [Sin of Gluttony]. Only some exceptions can also take skills like it.]

"I see... Well, let's just finish here and go inside."

[Alright, let me help you a little!]

With [Global Wisdom]'s help, I was able to conjure and control ten more [Gluttonous Dark Sphere].

In no time, I had already defeated more than half of the wave.

"If we keep going like this, in a few minutes, we will be done."

[Do you truly have to say it loud? Did you not learn anything from the last incident?]

"You are the one that is giving bad omens everywhere."

Sadly, [Global Wisdom] was right this time as well.

The panicked spiders stopped charging forward; instead, they began to stand to the side to make space for somebody.

"What is going on now?"

I said as I stopped attacking and observed the situation.

Thanks to all my perception skills, I could sense a strong presence coming closer to me.

Compared to the spider queen, this presence was far weaker, but it made up for it with numbers.

That was the reason I was on high alert.

Once he was ready with the first skill, I started flying around, waiting for the spiders to come out.

"Are you done?"

I conjured a couple of [Gluttonous Dark Sphere] and focused on the damage more before towing them.

This time though, I was not aiming to reduce the spiders' number but to gain enough time for the skills to be ready...

"FINALLY!"

I shouted as I got down in front of the new black spiders; compared to the one earlier, these were bigger, and their black color made it hard to see them in this darkness.

Thankfully my [Night Vision] was at max level so I could see them just fine.

[So what is the plan? Why did you come down instead of flying?]

"I checked the stats of the first ones that came out."

[And?]

"They are called [Spider General], and they are pretty strong. The weakest ones stats are all around 3.000."

[Then why did you come down? It will be better to keep on flying.]

"It will be useless if, while doing so, they push me to the ground, and there is no guarantee that they will not prepare any kind of traps."

[Wow! So you know how to use your brain sometimes!]

"Dissing aside, I will need your maximum focus!"

[Why so?]

"I'm planning to fight them head-on in a battle of attrition; either I die or they die!"

"In this fight, mistakes are not allowed!"

I was planning to fight the Spider Generals in close combat after finishing all the preparations; I was just waiting for them to make the first move.

These were completely different enemies compared to the spiders I was fighting a couple of minutes before.
