"Found it!"

Quinn announced from the other side of the room. He was less than five meters away, but he still felt the need to announce himself rather than just say it like a normal person.

Rose looked up from her hands, her train of thought lost for the time being.

"Good. Now help me put this garbage back together."

She said dusting the pieces onto the map.

"If it's such garbage then why not just throw it out?"

Quinn asked, walking over to the table and grabbing the mostly intact base of the shattered piece. He began to examine it, though not nearly as thoroughly as Rose would have.

Before answering Rose's eyes darted over to something that wasn't there,

"It still works as a map piece, if only barely. Besides it's better than a pile of rocks."

Quinn looked down at the mess of shards on the table.

"It is a pile of rocks."

Rose sighed, and grabbed the base piece out of Quinn's hands.

"There nice rocks, and you have glue. So get to work."

She placed the base piece onto the map again and slowly pieced the marker back together like some strange, annoying puzzle. After some time, it was done. It was in one, unstable piece.

By the time she finished with her puzzle, the meeting should have already started. But two of them were missing. June and Rowan.

Rose carefully placed the abomination of a piece back onto the map. Situated roughly over were there little village would be if it was actually marked.

Rose looked up from her map,

"Where the hell is your father?"
