Seah's Point Of View
I was in front of our old house, carrying two suitcases containing my clothes in both hands, while my guitar was behind me.
“Until next time,” I said goodbye to the house I grew up in while my father was still alive.
I will carry all the happy memories in my heart and mind until death.
“Ma'am, let's go! All your belongings are in the taxi, only the ones you brought are the ones that haven't been loaded yet.” The taxi driver said and I immediately obeyed and headed for the car.
“You'll really miss him so much,” I immediately looked at the person who spoke next to me and nodded.
"He's my hero," I replied.
I looked at our house for the last time and a little while later I got into the taxi and it immediately drove off.
Even though it was a place of wonder, not a single inch of its land is ours. I have to leave that house because the owner is going to sell it.
When my father was still alive, the owner was planning to sell the house and land, but because of my father's pleading, he was able to negotiate that we would stay together for now and that one day we would move in together if we had enough savings.
But, we couldn't save enough so he left first. And because I also didn't have a job, I had to leave the house that my father and I loved.
“We need to forget about him first,” he said again while sitting next to me in the taxi.
I didn't know how to answer and turned my gaze to the other direction.
“Hmm! I bet you can’t, you have no role in the world without him, right?” he grumbled but I ignored him and just looked at the view outside.
My mind was racing when the taxi driver tapped me. I immediately came back to my senses and looked outside the car. We were in front of the grill while the lady who owned the room I was going to rent was waiting.
“They look pleased to see you,” I just rolled my eyes at my companion’s statement. I thought he had left because he had also been quiet earlier in the car, but he was just being quiet and was just next to me. I just turned my attention back outside.
The woman smiled at my behavior while her son was next to her. When she got out, her son helped carry the things while the lady immediately approached me.
He held my hand and smiled again.
“Welcome back, Miss!” She greeted me with a smile that made me smile too. She's tall, fair-skinned, and her body is so slender that you'd think she was still a young woman from her posture, speech, and clothing.
“Come join us for lunch, And by the way, I haven't introduced myself yet. I'm Thalia, you can call me Iya and that's my son Raphael.”
I just nodded in response and a little while later, a boy approached our path while he couldn't run very well.
He was also wearing big slippers so he had difficulty running. Soon, he reached our path and immediately hugged his mother.
“Mama” he exclaimed as I saw his four teeth that had just come out. He was about two years old.
I smiled at what I saw as she played with her cute child.
“By the way, this is Rain, our youngest,” he introduced her baby boy whom I brought closer and pinched on his cheek.
The child immediately grabbed my index finger and played with it. Aunt Iya immediately patted the child’s hand so he let go immediately.
Even though he didn’t cry, I could still see the child sobbing a little. His mother immediately comforted him and calmed him down.
“Awehh, Rain, you're not allowed to bother your sister, okay?” The child nodded while his mother smiled.
“Come on, I'll take you to your room,” she said and started walking.
I immediately followed her while carrying my hand carry bag. We would still have to go through their living room on our way up to the floor in question.
“There are two rooms here, one is for my son Raphael, and he's using it. And this room next to it, is the one you'll be renting. Ma's been using it before yet she died for a decade now so no one's using it, this room is spacious, it also has its own bathroom so you won't have to wait in line downstairs.” She said as we went upstairs.
Their stairs were quite long and she was also carrying a child so we climbed slowly in case she made a mistake in her step and the three of us fell.
When we got to the top, I saw that the room I was going to rent was bigger. Some of the furniture had already been moved and was already in front of the door.
Aunt Iya immediately gave me the key to the room and let me open it. When I turned the door, old furniture and books immediately appeared before me.
“All that’s missing is a clean and new paint if you want to change the decor of the interior!” she said and smiled.
“If it takes you all day to clean, we can ask Raphael to let you sleep in his room first.” I immediately thanked her for her promise.
“I’m just going to get dressed so I can start now,” i said with enthusiasm and smiled at her. She smiled back and let me stay upstairs.
Since there were no people around, I immediately rummaged through one of my suitcases and immediately looked for some clothes to wear.
After choosing, I didn’t hesitate as I took off my t-shirt that immediately exposed my bra and chest.
When I put on my change of clothes, I heard a clatter as I headed towards the stairs and saw that Iya's son was already sprawled at the foot of the stairs while hugging my other suitcase.
I immediately blinked a few times before my brain processed what had happened. It was possible that he saw me undressing and in his panic, he fell down the stairs himself.
I immediately slapped my forehead and blushed and bowed back in front of my future room.
“You really are stupid, Seah!”
