Chapter 4

Me and Airi fell into the floor.

 And I fell into darkness.

 Silence.

 When I opened my eyes again, I heard shouting–and something fast.

 A shadow darted across the room.

 With daggers in its hands.

 "The name's Kai!" said the figure. "Just hang in there a bit longer!"

 The figure sliced the monster's arm, then went for its leg. The monster fell and then the figure took advantage to slice the monster's neck. 

 Blood spilled out. And soon the monster fell to the ground.

 The figure came to us.

 "... Hey, need a hand?"

 The figure gave me his hand, I took it and lifted myself up.

 "Thank you. "

 "No need!"

 I went to Airi, that was unconscious.

 Her face was covered with some dirt and a little cut in her eyebrow. Her face– which was usually with energy–was now calm and quiet. 

 I smiled, "You did your best Airi."

 "She okay?" Kai asked, stepping forward.

 "Yeah, just tired." I responded.

 "Hey, how are we going to get her out of here?"

 "I will carry her."

"Okay, Glad I picked the right team then "

"Huh?"

"Let's go," said Kai, stepping for the exit. "I can clear the way."

"... Okay" 

I lifted Airi onto my back, her arms hung around my shoulders and her head rested on my back. I held her legs carefully so she wouldn't fall. 

I walked to get out of the Labyrinth with Kai keeping a watch-out.

Me and Airi and Kai were at my home. Well, a rented one.

"Ngh…"

Opp! Airi's waking up! I ran to grab a pillow and put it in front of my face.

"Huh? Why are you grabbing a pillow–?"

Twack! 

"Ow…" groaned Kai, holding his nose.

I looked at him, lowering my pillow."You should have done the same."

Twack!

 "Ow…" I groaned,

 "You should've never lowered your pillow."

 "Tell me about it…"

 "Creeps!" 

 "But what did we do?"

 "The same thing!"

Me, Airi, and Kai were sleeping in my house, I was the middle of the night. There was no one in town.

"Go! quietly!"

"Huh?" Who is making that noise?

I looked outside and saw a party with heavy armor heading into the forest.

"What the-" I need to tell the others!

I started running upstairs to Kai. but he was nowhere to be seen. You've got to be kidding me! He left! I should've never trusted him!

"Are we going to follow them or not?"

"Huh?"

I turned around and saw Kai.

"Good grief.."

"Okay let's go!"

"Let me wake up Airi" I said.

We walked in the forest to follow the people who were acting suspicious.

"Huh? what are they doing?! Going to a Labyrinth at night? They are crazy!" I said.

"Let's follow them."

"Okay."

We followed them in the Labyrinth. but there were no monsters.

"W-wait no way..."

"What? Daiki are you okay?" asked Airi looking at me.

"...Is this the boss room?!"
