High school student Alan Woods falls into the Backrooms—a nightmarish alternate dimension of endless yellow halls. Guided by a cryptic recording from Leo Mercer of the Human Defense Force, he must navigate through distorted walls to escape. But when a faceless horror called The Duller attacks, Alan awakens a strange electric ability after crushing a mysterious blue stone. Now, armed with lightning coursing through his veins, he fights to survive and descend deeper closing the Void.
