"Hold your fire! I got hostage, so back off!"
The young man stared intently at Stella, the barrel of the gun aimed at Kim's forehead.
"OK, OK, EASY!" Stella slowly lowered her hand from the gun handle. She looked at me somewhat strangely.
I took a drag from my cigarette. This was the last situation I wanted to see. The young man could have left, but the female officer's intervention made the situation chaotic.
Without the police, the young rookie would be easy to deal with because if he just left, no one would be in trouble, but now it's different.
Even if the rookie didn't kill anyone or intentionally cause harm, robbery itself is a serious charge.
Moreover, the female officer could very likely shoot him.
"Damn it, what are you doing?"
The female officer shouted at me. She retreated to the entrance of the convenience store and pressed her intercom.
"Upper East Side, convenience store at the corner of Third Street encountering a robbery, situation A5, repeat, A5."
