"I ended up following him. What does he want to talk about?" Sai was just following him from behind, being on guard just in case Asher does something unexpected. "We are here, your highness." They arrived at Asher's room. Asher opens the door and lets Sai go in first. "Please make yourself comfortable, your highness."
Both of them are now seated in front of each other. "I'll get to the point of your highness…" Asher said, finally dropping that smile on his face. He looks a completely different person now that he got serious and his aura changed. "You're not exactly five years old, right your highness?" Asher looked at Sai's confused face and that made him smile.
"W-what do you mean by that master? I'm clearly five…" Sai felt nervous. Does Asher know about his regression? But if he knows how? "Yes, yes, I'm sorry that's a wrong choice of word. What I mean is your soul is not a five-year-old boy." Asher said.
"I don't know what you are talking about master-" Sai was cut off by Asher.
"You do know what I'm talking about your highness." Asher was determined to reveal Sai's secret. "You are too mature for your age. You don't act like a normal five years old."
"Isn't it because I'm royalty? Isn't my father the emperor the same?" Sai was trying his best to look innocent in front of him.
"The emperor isn't the same. He is smart but he didn't have to take on big responsibilities like what he gave to you." Asher took a pause and looked at Sai looking for any sign of nervousness. "I was shocked when the emperor asked me to train you as an assassin. Training a five-year-old to be an assassin is very new to me, your highness."
"I admit that I'm mature for my age, but I really don't know what you are talking about master. How can it be possible that my soul is not a child's soul." Sai is still trying to cover everything.
"Your highness… You can trust me. I know you need a companion. I won't tell anyone about your secret. I want to help you." Asher sounds sincere, making Sai trust him.
"I don't have a secret-" Asher interrupted him. "Your highness you can't fool me. I guess your father hasn't told you yet but I'm not just a teacher or an assassin trainer. I can see through you your highness. I can see your soul. You have lived a hundred lives, but you only come back to the same life." Asher paused as he saw Sai's reaction. Asher grinned and he finally caught Sai. He was right, Sai is not a normal kid. "Now your highness please do tell me everything…"
