Ace Identity Exposed

Sengoku's Office.

Sengoku, already troubled by the recent rampant activities of pirates, frowned as he answered a call from an unknown number.

"Fleet Admiral, it's me, Teach!"

A sly and sinister voice came from the other end of the line.

"Teach? Blackbeard Teach?"

"Why would a pirate dare to call me?" Sengoku tone was hostile.

"Zehahahaha, Fleet Admiral Sengoku, I have a good deal for you. I wonder if you're interested!" Blackbeard Teach voice echoed through the phone.

"A deal?"

"Have you lost your mind, Blackbeard?"

"I'm a Marine, and you're a pirate. What kind of deal could we possibly make?" Sengoku furrowed his brow.

"Zehahahaha, Fleet Admiral Sengoku, let's not discuss this over the phone!"

"My man has already arrived at Marineford. He'll explain everything to you!" After saying this, Blackbeard Teach hung up the phone.

Sengoku was left utterly bewildered. At that moment, Vice Admiral Tsuru and Garp walked in.

"Sengoku, what's going on now?" Garp plopped down on the sofa and asked curiously. Vice Admiral Tsuru also cast a questioning glance.

"Blackbeard Teach. I think I've heard of him before. He wants to make a deal with me!" Sengoku said with a frown. With so many things happening recently, Sengoku only vaguely recalled the name.

"Blackbeard Teach?"

"I know him. He was originally a member of the Whitebeard Pirates, but for some reason, he killed Thatch, the commander of the 4th Division of the Whitebeard Pirates!"

"He's been on the run from the Whitebeard Pirates ever since!"

"He's a scumbag, really." Vice Admiral Tsuru quickly explained after a moment of thought. As the Marine's Chief of Staff, Tsuru was naturally well-informed about these pirates.

"Pah! What kind of deal could we possibly make with a bastard who kills his own comrades?" Garp spat in disgust, clearly angered.

Although the Marines and pirates were on opposite sides, Blackbeard Teach act of killing his own crewmate was universally despised.

Suddenly, the door to Sengoku office was knocked. Sengoku called out for the person to enter. A man in suspenders, with a pale complexion, walked in. Sengoku immediately frowned.

"Hello, Fleet Admiral Sengoku!"

"I'm Lafitte of the Blackbeard Pirates!"

"I've been sent by our captain to discuss a potential collaboration with you!" Lafitte removed his hat and bowed to Sengoku.

"The Blackbeard Pirates?"

"How did you infiltrate Marine Headquarters?" Garp instantly stood up, his fighting spirit surging.

"Vice Admiral Garp, please calm down!"

"To be honest, your Marine defenses are quite tight!"

"It took me a lot of effort to sneak in!" Lafitte said with a chuckle.

Sengoku narrowed his eyes, observing the calm and composed Lafitte.

"Garp, don't act rashly yet."

"Let's hear what kind of deal he's proposing." Sengoku said to Garp.

Honestly, seeing Lafitte so composed, Sengoku couldn't help but feel intrigued by the Blackbeard Pirates.

"Thank you, Fleet Admiral Sengoku!"

"We would like to exchange a person for the position of Warlord of the Sea!" Lafitte got straight to the point without any preamble.

Tsuru frowned at the side. This Blackbeard Teach is really playing a clever game!

The Warlords of the Sea are recognized by the World Government as powerful pirates with catastrophic destructive capabilities and military strength rivaling entire nations! Upon becoming a Warlord of the Sea, their previous bounties are suspended, and the World Government will no longer pursue any past crimes committed!

Even if the members of the "Warlords of the Sea" engage in plundering, it is tacitly allowed by the World Government, though they must pay tribute if discovered.

Indeed, ever since Crocodile was captured and sent to Impel Down, the position of Warlord of the Sea has remained vacant. Who would have thought that this Blackbeard Teach would want to replace Crocodile as the new Warlord of the Sea?

"Haha, who do you have in your hands?"

"That you think you can exchange for the position of Warlord of the Sea?" Sengoku stroked his chin and asked with a smile.

"Through our investigation, we've noticed that your relationship with the Whitebeard Pirates has been quite strained recently!"

"And now, the Whitebeard Pirates are thriving like never before!" Lafitte calmly replied.

"Hmm, then tell me, who exactly is it?" Sengoku asked curiously.

"This person is the commander of the Second Division of the Whitebeard Pirates, Fire Fist Ace!" As soon as Lafitte said this, Garp, who had been sitting on the sofa drinking tea, suddenly narrowed his eyes. His immense grip strength crushed the entire teacup into pieces.

Lafitte and Tsuru looked over in surprise. Sengoku, however, remained calm, glancing at Garp with a complex expression.

"You've captured Ace?" Garp, realizing he had lost his composure, wiped the shards from his hand and asked.

"Yes, I believe that if the Marines can now take control of Ace, it would certainly be a blow to the Whitebeard Pirates!"

"And you could gain considerable benefits from this!" Lafitte replied earnestly.

"Oh, and one more thing!" Lafitte sneered as he spoke.

"Ace true identity is our bargaining chip!"

"I'm sure that using Ace identity as an exchange for the position of Warlord of the Sea would be a fair deal for you!" Lafitte said with a smile.

Hearing Lafitte mention Ace identity, Garp felt as if a heavy hammer had struck his heart! Had this secret already been discovered by Blackbeard Teach and his crew?

Sengoku also became intrigued by this statement.

"Identity?"

"What identity?" Sengoku asked with a frown.

"I can't reveal it just yet, but you can contact the Five Elders. I can share this secret with you and them!" Lafitte shook his head and spoke cautiously.

Sengoku glanced at Garp and Tsuru.

"These two are high-ranking members of the Marines and have the right to know this secret!"

After speaking, Sengoku directly took out the Den Den Mushi specifically used to contact the Five Elders.

"Sengoku, what is it?"

"Do you have news about Pryce? Or are there new teleportation talismans?" The voices of the Five Elders came through, sounding somewhat anxious.

Sengoku felt a wave of speechlessness. He really didn't like calling the Five Elders these days—every time it was all about Pryce and teleportation talismans. Or it was about the Senzu Beans!

"Neither. It's about a pirate named Blackbeard Teach who wants to make a deal with the World Government and the Navy," Sengoku said seriously.
