Grandline, Banaro Island.
After receiving Lafitte call, Blackbeard Teach was quite pleased. Becoming one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea was the first step in his rise to power! As long as this step was completed, the subsequent plans could proceed smoothly!
Just as Teach was about to inform his crew of this development, a golden-purple light suddenly appeared at the center of the island. Blackbeard and his crew looked over in confusion.
Suddenly, two figures materialized on Banaro Island. Teach narrowed his eyes as he gazed at the figure within the light—it looked so familiar!
"No way, it can't be him!"
"There's no one in the Whitebeard Pirates with such an ability!" Teach muttered to himself.
As the blinding light faded, Blackbeard and his crew finally saw who had arrived. It was none other than Whitebeard and Marco!
Without waiting for Blackbeard orders, everyone immediately entered combat mode. Van Augur raised his rifle and aimed it directly at Whitebeard.
"It's Whitebeard!" Van Augur said with a furrowed brow. Cold sweat broke out on everyone foreheads.
Whitebeard scanned his surroundings and quickly spotted Teach and his crew on a nearby cliff. Out of the corner of his eye, he also noticed the battered and bound Fire Fist Ace beside them. Whitebeard, already furious, felt his rage boiling over at the sight.
"Captain, Whitebeard is here!"
"How did he appear?" Doc Q' voice trembled.
"You're asking me? How should i know?" Teach wiped the cold sweat from his brow.
"It seems fate has decided we're doomed here!" Van Augur sighed.
"There's no way we can beat him now. Let's just leave!" Doc Q quickly suggested.
"Leave? How? On that nearly broken raft?" Teach said despairingly, glancing at the sinking raft by the shore. Even if a good ship were waiting at the shore right now, Teach wouldn't dare board it! He had seen firsthand how Whitebeard could summon a massive whirlpool with a single hand, swallowing a warship whole.
"This is fate!" Van Augur sighed.
Ace also noticed the arrival of his father, Whitebeard and Marco. Though his mouth was gagged by Teach, a glimmer of hope shone in his eyes.
"Teach, you've made me search for you for so long," Whitebeard said calmly as he looked at Teach. But anyone could hear the barely concealed killing intent in his voice.
"Pops, what brings you here? If you wanted to see me, you could have just told me—I would have come to you myself!" Teach, seeing no way out, forced himself to speak.
"Haha, come to me? You've become quite impressive now!" Whitebeard sneered and spoke directly.
"That's all thanks to your excellent teaching!"
Teach was indeed a character. Since there was no escape, he might as well go along with the conversation.
"My excellent teaching?!" This sentence completely ignited Whitebeard fury!
"Did I teach you to ruthlessly kill your comrades without hesitation?" Whitebeard roared.
"Pops, let's not waste any more words!"
"Let's capture him first and take him back to the Moby Dick!"
"I have a bad feeling. We should be careful to avoid complications!" Marco frowned and whispered.
Whitebeard nodded upon hearing this. Without further ado, he activated his ability, and an enormous spherical barrier appeared above Teach and his crew.
Teach realized he couldn't delay any longer.
"Gather around me!" Teach shouted.
A surge of black mist erupted from his body, forming a dark pool above their heads. The spherical barrier descended! But to the surprise of Whitebeard and Marco, the usually indestructible barrier was momentarily halted by the pool of black water.
"It seems you really have some skills!"
Whitebeard sneered and charged at Teach, wielding his formidable Murakumogiri.
Van Augur didn't hesitate and pulled the trigger. A bullet shot straight toward Whitebeard rapidly moving eye.
Burgess also didn't hesitate. He lifted a massive boulder he had been using for training and hurled it at Whitebeard with a roar. The thousand-pound boulder flew through the air with a whooshing sound.
Doc Q took out a vial of deadly poison and threw it toward Whitebeard.
Whitebeard sneered, and an invisible sphere appeared in front of him, created by his Tremor-Tremor Fruit ability. The rapidly spinning bullet turned to powder upon hitting the sphere. With a gentle swing of his blade, Whitebeard cleanly sliced the massive boulder in half.
Just as the poison vial was about to touch Whitebeard body, Doc Q smiled. Even a god couldn't survive a single touch of this poison! But the next moment, Doc Q smile vanished. Sky-blue flames erupted, completely incinerating the poison vial. It was Marco, who had acted from behind Whitebeard.
Seeing Whitebeard about to reach him, Teach also went all out. The black water enveloped his hand, and he struck at Whitebeard.
The next moment, Teach let out a scream and was sent flying. A gruesome wound appeared on his chest, slashed open by Murakumogiri.
Teach crashed into a cliff, shattering it to pieces.
Intense pain instantly spread throughout his body. Whitebeard frowned as he watched Blackbeard Teach writhing in the pile of rubble.
This Teach ability was indeed quite peculiar!
Logically, his blade strike carried the power of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit. It shouldn't have just left a wound! It seems that Teach strange ability was at play, absorbing the power of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit from the tip of his blade!
Whitebeard pondered briefly, then continued walking toward Teach, who was still writhing and screaming in pain. Seeing this, Burgess charged straight at Whitebeard.
"Fools!" Whitebeard snorted coldly and delivered a heavy punch!
Burgess, fearless, also threw his fist toward Whitebeard!
