One day, a 16-year-old boy named Binam Baruah, who lived in Rajkhuwa village of Lakhimpur district in Assam, was walking home from school with sadness on his face. In his mind, he kept thinking, "Today was another terrible day. My classmates bullied me again. I've become a teenager now, but still, I haven't learned how to fight back. Every day, I have to return home beaten up. What a useless life I have." As he thought this, tears were about to well up in his eyes when suddenly he spotted an old book lying by the roadside.
Binam said, "Huh, what’s this old book doing by the roadside? It says 'Kalpa-Briksha' on it. Seems like it’s some old storybook. Anyway, who could have thrown it here? Never mind, I'll take it home and read it. Maybe it'll improve my mood. Besides, it doesn’t look like it belongs to anyone—looks ancient." Saying this, he put the book into his bag and continued toward home.
When he reached home, he first went inside, placed his bag on the study table, and went outside to freshen up. As he splashed water on his face, he winced in pain because once again, his classmates had hit him—this time on his forehead. He thought, "Thank God my long hair covered the injury, or else everyone at school and on the way home would have noticed. It hurts a lot, though."
Now the scene shifts—Binam is sitting at his study table. His mother wasn’t home because she worked as a government tutor at an old government school, earning only 10,000 rupees a month.
Binam said to himself,
"Alright, let’s open that book and see what kind of story it holds."
He picked up the book and, after freshening up, opened it. On the very first page, it was written:
"Whoever finds this book will be able to fulfill four of their wishes."
Binam: "What the hell is this? It says you can fulfill four wishes? Sounds like nonsense, like someone wrote this to fool people."
Still, Binam was curious to see if it could really fulfill his wishes. After all, he had seen many magical and mysterious objects granting powers in digital stories, webtoons, manhwas, mangas, and comics. So he decided to write down his four wishes:
• 1st wish – I want a .................. book.
• 2nd wish – I want an angel who is truly invincible and the strongest in the entire multiverse, whose powers have no limit, and who can fulfill any wish I have, no matter how big.
• 3rd wish – I want to become the Lord of All Necromancers—Necromancer Boss, Necromancer King, Necromancer God, God of All Necromancers, Demonic Necromancer, Overlord of All Necromancers, Necromancer Demon King, Monarch of Necromancers, Supreme Necromancer, Invincible Necromancer, Dark Lord of Necromancers, etc.—and become invincible across the multiverse and even beyond it, with infinite powers so that with just 1% of my strength I could destroy or create an entire multiverse.
• 4th wish – Once my first three wishes are fulfilled, I wish for the Kalpa-Briksha book to be destroyed.
After writing, he said, "Let's see if my wishes really come true or not."
Suddenly, a dark divine aura surrounded him from all sides and transported him to a different dimension. When Binam opened his eyes, he found himself in a place of complete nothingness. Looking around, he said,
"Where am I? Why is it so dark here? Was that book really magical? What’s going to happen to me now?"
Just then, he heard a voice saying:
"You have now become invincible, unbeatable, and unstoppable across the infinite universe, meaning the entire multiverse. Your powers are so immense that even 1% of your strength can destroy or create a multiverse. You can control or order the supreme beings, divine rulers, gods, demons, demon kings, supreme divine kings, and rulers of every universe and realm. The powers of the 'Lord of All Necromancers' are now being transferred to you."
Immediately, Binam felt an intense, unbearable pain surging through his body—it was so overwhelming that he fainted.
After some time, Binam opened his eyes and found himself back in his room. When he examined himself, he felt an entirely different, powerful energy coursing through him. His body felt much lighter and stronger.
Binam said,
"Whoa... I can feel infinite power in my body! Every part of me feels so strong that it feels like I could destroy a galaxy with just one punch! Wow, what incredible power. I thought that book was just some random old thing, but it turned out to be a real magical book! By the way, have my other two wishes been fulfilled too?"
Just then, Binam felt an enormous presence of power appear before him. He saw a divine figure materialize—an angel with two wings, a shining halo above his head, and a body made entirely of divine energy.
Shocked, Binam said,
"Oh... are you the invincible angel I wished for, who can fulfill my infinite wishes?"
The angel replied,
"Yes, my lord. I am your creation, summoned by your wish from the Kalpa-Briksha book. I can fulfill any wish you make, no matter how big or impossible it may be."
Binam:
"Hmm... By the way, what's your name, Angel? And do you have the book I wished for from the Kalpa-Briksha?"
The Angel:
"My lord, I have no name or form—it's up to you to decide both. And yes, the book you wished for is with me."
Saying this, the angel took out the book and handed it to Binam, saying,
"Here, my lord. This is your book."
Binam:
“Oh, so this is the book that grants me infinite wishes… Incredible. I’ve become the most powerful being in this ordinary world,” he muttered to himself, a smirk forming on his face.
Just then, the angel spoke,
Angel:
“My lord, forgive me for saying this, but apart from us, there are a few people in this world—though very rare—who can use magical powers.”
Binam:
“What? Even Earth has people with magical powers? But I thought magic existed only in books, fictional stories, and anime. In our world, only science is considered real. I can’t believe this… Can you explain it in detail?”
The Angel:
“Yes, my lord. You can think of it this way: in the world you live in, science is accepted as the only truth by the general public. But for some reason, a few individuals have awakened magical powers. The true cause behind this awakening lies in the existence of magical gates—also known as dungeons. These dungeons are secret, and some hidden organizations have formed around them. The awakened humans work within these organizations. They clear the dungeons—by defeating the monsters and magical beasts inside—and mine the magical crystals found within. These crystals are then used to craft magical weapons like swords, daggers, shields, gauntlets, armors, and even mana-purifying potions.”
Binam, stunned:
“Wait… What are you saying? There are humans who can actually use magic, and there are secret organizations that hunt magical monsters? But then… why has the public never heard of this? And how do you know all of this?”
The Angel:
“My lord, when I came into existence through your wish, the first thing I did for your safety was scan this universe using my powers. That’s when I discovered that there are indeed some humans on Earth who can use low-level magic. Besides, I can sense a person’s aura or power pressure and determine how strong—or weak—they are.”
Binam, excited:
“Whoa! You’re seriously cool and powerful! You scanned the entire universe in a single go? That’s some next-level stuff!”
The Angel (bowing humbly):
“Thank you for your praise, my lord, but I am nothing compared to you.”
Binam (thinking to himself):
“Heh… I’m powerful enough to destroy the entire multiverse with just 1% of my true power. These magic users… even if they come to fight me, I doubt they could ever defeat me. There’s no need to worry too much about them. Ah… but I forgot to give him a name. Hmm… What should I call him… Umm… Oh! That would be perfect!”
Binam (to the angel):
“Hey, with everything going on, I almost forgot to give you a name. From now on, your name will be… ‘Indrajeet.’”
Indrajeet (smiling):
“Thank you for giving me such a wonderful name, my lord. I truly like it."
