Protectors of Durian Village

Agung Rokhman, a kind-hearted young man, returned to Durian Village after five years away, only to discover that the new village head, Mr. Suyono, planned to uproot the villagers’ beloved durian orchard in favor of an oil-palm plantation driven purely by profit. Together with his childhood friend, Chandra the school teacher, Boni rallied the residents into the “Durian Guardians,” a grassroots alliance steadfastly protecting their ancestral land. With clever bamboo and corrugated-metal traps, drone patrols, and data-driven petitions, they succeeded in gathering irrefutable evidence of both the environmental and economic value of the durian orchard and the corrupt motives of the village head.
