Sasame brought Uzumaki Naruto back home.

Looking at the slightly run-down room, he thought of Uchiha Sasuke.

With his help now, the relationship between Naruto and Kurama should improve quickly.

Moreover, he had also obtained the lingering spirits of Uzumaki Kushina and Namikaze Minato.

The former had deep knowledge about jinchūriki.

The latter, needless to say, was rich in combat experience and possessed numerous jutsu.

In other words, Naruto now had two extra "cheats" compared to his original self.

In contrast, Uchiha Sasuke was in a pitiful state.

If he didn't come up with something soon, he'd likely never surpass Naruto in this lifetime.

Why?

Sasuke was still young and had just awakened his two-tomoe Sharingan.

Under normal circumstances, further progress would be difficult. The best option was to learn new jutsu—like Lightning Release.

Earlier, while chatting with Minato, Sasame had been reminded of something—the Hokage Guard Platoon.

This position wasn't really about protecting the Hokage but rather grooming loyalists.

Take the Second Hokage, Senju Tobirama's guard platoon, for example.

Each member was legendary: Sarutobi Hiruzen, Utatane Koharu, Mitokado Homura, Akimichi Torifu, and Uchiha Kagami.

By the Fourth Hokage's era, things had declined.

The members—Shiranui Genma, Raidō Namiashi, and Iwashi Tatami—were far less impressive.

The reason they were sidelined from Konoha's power center wasn't just because Minato died young—it was mainly due to their lack of strength.

Their only real value lay in their ability to jointly perform the Flying Thunder God Technique.

When Tsunade became Hokage, she also selected guards.

And yes—she still picked the same three: Genma, Raidō, and Iwashi.

Most likely because of the Flying Thunder God Technique and the lack of better candidates.

Sasame returned to the Hokage's office.

After confirming no one was inside, he pushed the door open.

Given his relationship with Tsunade, knocking wasn't necessary.

"Sis."

He slipped beside her, threw himself into her arms, and nuzzled against her.

"This is the office."

Tsunade lifted his chin with one hand while kicking him lightly with her bare foot. "Behave."

"You're one to talk."

Sasame glanced at her bare feet, freed from her high-heeled sandals. "You don't look very Hokage-like right now either."

"Hmph! I am the Hokage!" She glared. "Whatever I do is justified. You just have to listen."

"Fine, fine, Lady Hokage. I have a proposal to submit."

He pulled out a pre-written document—a Hokage Secretary Team Proposal—and handed it to her.

"What's this?"

Tsunade opened the file and immediately fell into thought.

With nothing better to do, Sasame stood behind her and massaged her shoulders.

"The elimination and rotation systems are good. They'll foster a sense of urgency and motivation."

She tilted her head, exposing her fair neck. "But this salary system… Konoha's never had anything like it. It's unconventional."

"Why is it a problem?"

Sasame's gaze lingered on her décolletage. "The seven shinobi in the secretary team are too busy with work to take missions. If they're not paid, how can they keep at it long-term?"

The shinobi system was absurd.

As ninjas, they could only earn money through missions—everything else was unpaid labor.

No wonder the Third Hokage, Hiruzen, had pushed the Will of Fire so hard.

Tsunade blinked. That… actually made sense.

She turned back to the document.

Meanwhile, Sasame played with her silky golden hair.

"I'll study this carefully."

After finishing the report, Tsunade looked genuinely impressed.

Some ideas seemed minor, but under Sasame's guidance, they formed a surprisingly feasible management system.

If implemented fully, it would undoubtedly be more efficient than the old ways.

"You might be more suited to be Hokage than I am."

She spoke from the heart.

"Nah."

Sasame rested his chin on her shoulder. "I just borrowed ideas from Kumagaya Corporation's experience."

His warm breath tickled her ear. Tsunade tilted her head slightly, unused to the sensation.

At the mention of Kumagaya Corp, she recalled how sharp he'd always been.

"Sis."

Suddenly, Sasame spun the Hokage chair around, forcing her to face him.

"What?"

She looked puzzled.

"Your birthday gift was a bit rushed, so here's a second one."

He knelt on one knee and pulled out a diamond ring.

Diamonds existed in this world.

In the original story, during Naruto's wedding, the wealthy Tenten had gifted a blue crystal kunai studded with colored diamonds—an extravagant gesture.

Tsunade didn't blush like a schoolgirl. Instead, she smiled brilliantly.

She extended her hand, fingers splayed.

Sasame took her left wrist and slid the ring onto her ring finger.

The diamond wasn't huge—meant for practicality.

Beneath it was engraved a Flying Thunder God seal.

Though Tsunade didn't yet know he could use the technique, it was a safety measure.

Plus, in his past life, a ring on the ring finger symbolized marriage.

"Thank you."

Tsunade stood and hugged him, resting her head against his chest. "I love it."

"I love the gift you gave me too."

He wrapped his arms around her slender waist.

"When did I—"

She paused, then glared. "You little—!"

She realized what he meant.

On her birthday, she had given him the most precious gift.

"Must you ruin the mood like this?"

Annoyed, she punched his back—lightly—then hugged him tighter.

A second later, she shoved him away, flustered.

"You're thinking of that again?!"

Tsunade sat back in her chair, arms crossed, exuding authority. "If you've got nothing else, go home and wait!"

Sasame sighed. She really was something else.

Too bad Tsunade was still traditional—no way she'd indulge him in the Hokage's office.

"One more thing."

He pushed aside distracting thoughts. "You're Hokage now. You should form a Guard Platoon."

"I don't need protection."

She dismissed it instantly. "I'd just end up protecting them. Too troublesome."

"True, but with guards, you can delegate tasks."

He explained, "Besides, even the ANBU need loyalists."

Tsunade fell silent, considering.

She had overlooked this.

Being new to the role, she wasn't yet versed in power struggles.

"Then you be my guard?"

She looked up, her amber eyes hopeful.

Having him by her side at all times sounded perfect.

No way. Sasame was too busy for that.

"Too boring for me. How about Hatake Kakashi and Might Guy?"

Guy might be eccentric, but his strength was undeniable.

Kakashi was the "Copy Ninja," capable of fighting anyone to a standstill.

Even Madara Uchiha had nearly fallen to him.

Plus, if Guy became Tsunade's guard, Sasame could push her to learn the Eight Gates.

Once he acquired the two forbidden medical jutsu from Shinnō, her power would skyrocket.

Byakugō Seal. Strength of a Hundred. Physical Revitalization. Cellular Regeneration. Eight Gates.

The thought was… exciting.

(And terrifying. Thankfully, his Sage Body could handle her relentless energy.)

"Add Yuuhi Kurenai and Shizune too."

An all-male team wouldn't do.

Though Kakashi and Guy had no interest in women, better safe than sorry—Shizune could act as a spy.

Tsunade stroked her chin, deep in thought.

Shizune aside, the other three weren't currently team leaders.

Kakashi was, but he had no students.

It was a solid lineup.

"They can try it."

She finally agreed.

"I'll inform them."

At the door, Sasame paused. "Sis… I'll be waiting at home."

"Enough nonsense!"

Her heart fluttered, but she rolled her eyes. "Go!"

Sasame left the Hokage Building.

Shizune didn't need convincing—she'd agree.

In the original story, she'd juggled multiple roles: apprentice, guard, secretary, and errand girl.

His first stop was Yuuhi Kurenai.

She accepted immediately.

Kurenai came from a genjutsu clan, but it was small.

Being a Hokage Guard was a potential path to becoming Hokage—like Hiruzen.

At the very least, it guaranteed a spot in Konoha's upper echelons.

Next were Might Guy and Hatake Kakashi—the eternal bachelor duo.

By dusk, Guy was likely training outside the village.

Sasame headed to the Forest of Death, activated his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, and quickly located his target.

"321! 322! 323!"

A voice brimming with vigor echoed through the trees.

Guy, in his green spandex, was running on his hands while counting.

"Hey, old man!"

Sasame called out.

"Ah, young stranger! What brings you here?"

Guy jogged over—still upside-down.

The sight was surreal.

"The Hokage has orders for you."

Sasame raised a brow.

"The Hokage?!"

Guy flipped midair, landing perfectly. "Lady Hokage needs me?!"

Thanks to his father, Might Dai's, legendary feat, Guy had earned Hiruzen's respect.

But his personality made him ill-suited for standard ninja work, so he mostly got frontline combat missions.

Most shinobi missions were stealth or assassination-based—who'd trust him with those?

Compared to Kakashi, Guy had far fewer responsibilities.

He'd once applied for ANBU—rejected.

Then for ROOT—also rejected.

Now, finally, a chance to shine!

"The Hokage wants you as a guard—"

Before Sasame could finish, Guy burst into tears.

"WAAAAH! Lady Hokage chose me! My youth burns with passion!"

He roared, "Triple today's training! I'm off!"

""

Sasame watched him sprint away, speechless.

I wasn't done!

He chuckled. Truly, Konoha's Green Beast.

Guy was the ideal subordinate—strong and loyal.

Just… eccentric.

Sasame could already picture the Hokage Tower's atmosphere shifting dramatically.

Back in the village, he found Kakashi at home.

"Come in."

Kakashi sat by the window, reading Make-Out Paradise.

Sasame suspected the mask hid his blushing.

"Sasame?"

Kakashi glanced up. "What is it?"

"The Hokage wants you as a guard."

""

Kakashi fell silent.

Due to his status, every Hokage—Hiruzen, Minato, and now Tsunade—had favored him.

But he wasn't interested.

"I'm a team leader now. No time."

He declined indirectly.

"You don't have a team yet."

Sasame offered a deal: "Become a guard, and you can mentor Uchiha Sasuke."

Kakashi's eye widened.

In current Konoha, Sasuke was the best candidate for his apprentice—thanks to the Sharingan.

Having worked with Itachi, Kakashi knew his potential.

And Sasuke was just as talented.

After a pause, Kakashi agreed.

Becoming a sensei meant he wanted to teach.

Facing such a promising student, he couldn't refuse.

[Your actions have altered the fates of Might Guy, Yuuhi Kurenai, Hatake Kakashi, and Uchiha Sasuke. Total Fate Points gained: 37.]

Not much—less than ten per person.

But understandable.

Their destinies hadn't shifted drastically.

By the time Sasame finished, night had fallen.

He returned home.

Empty.

With a sigh, he started cooking.

Soon after, Tsunade arrived.

She kicked off her shoes, hung up her robe, and noticed Shizune's absence—probably working late at the hospital.

Smiling, she headed to the kitchen.

Sasame, busy at the stove, was suddenly enveloped in a warm embrace.

"What's for dinner?"

Free from Hokage duties, Tsunade was relaxed, resting her head on his shoulder.

He turned, wrapping an arm around her waist. "You tell me."

She blinked, then flushed as understanding dawned.

Sasame lifted her onto the counter. "Your cooking's terrible. Watch and learn. If you don't get it the first time, I'll teach you again."

"You—!"

Furious, she kicked out with her bare legs, locking around him in a "Seven Days of Love" chokehold.

Sasame gasped.

This woman!

One teasing remark, and she went straight for the kill!

But he was stronger now.

Tsunade's attack backfired—spectacularly.

The next day, the newly appointed Hokage took another "sick day."

Thankfully, her secretary team handled things smoothly.
