Well, this is one is an awkward one.
I found myself in utter darkness, literally.
I just stood there with a slumping shoulder and disappointment
Why did I even pick it up then?
I was talking about the glass clock; it vanished from my hand the moment I stepped in here.
I sighed in disappointment as I glanced at my surroundings.
Did I step into the void?
It looked the same as the one I saw outside the bus and the window.
Fortunately for me, there was a light source which gave limited illumination to the room.
It wasn't a bulb nor was it a lamp.
It was three doors, the white outlines of a door in front of me; with the help of the light, I realized that the room…
It was quite small, actually.
Hmmm.
The door I came from, like last time has already disappeared.
Do I have to choose one of these? Or do I have to go through each one?
I first made my way towards the left one with slow and silent steps.
Is this dot of light a peephole?
Can I even see through it? I mean it's just a dot of light.
Only one way to find out.
I closed my right eye and looked through my left as I brought my eye closer to the peephole.
Oh god, I hope it isn't a jumpscare.
Who am I kidding? I have seen enough horror movies.
I have prepared myself for the worst and what I saw was…
A room in black and white, pretty elegant designed furniture…is that a python?
It indeed was, specifically, a Burmese python.
An elegant one of course, it sat or should I say coiled around on a cushiony chair nonchalantly with a cup of steaming hot tea on a small table in front of it.
Its scales had the colour scheme and even looked like a suit, and it had a small top hat on its head with a steamy cigar in its mouth.
I stared at the scene for a few more seconds and immediately pulled my head back.
Well…what should I say? He seems pretty chill.
He even had a cute little white bowtie.
His elegance is unmatched.
I stood there for a moment, contemplating the absurdity of the scene I just saw.
I was prepared for a jumpscare, but I got something else: prepare for the unexpected,, I guess…
Well then, on to the next door.
Which was–the middle one.
It looked no different from the other two doors; they were identical in shape, height and even detail.
On to the peephole!
And like with the previous one, I brought my open left eye closer to the peephole.
And the thing I saw was…
Naked…woman.
Not exactly, half-naked woman.
Well damn.
It was a huge white bed inside a room adorned with gold and other fancy stuff; the woman lay on the bed with a graceful smile while she held an apple in her hand while striking a pose.
I stared for a second…maybe even two minutes, and she still held the pose.
After a few more seconds I brought my head back.
That room is a BIG no-no.
A very big one.
The only thing good about this room is the fact that we're separated by a door.
Well, first of all, why is her legs pointing towards the opposite direction?
Second of all, why were there corpses of infants lying around the room?
Why does she have seven fingers? And why is one of them…the male genitalia?
And most importantly, why was she looking at me…
I almost faltered under her gaze but fear kept me together.
That is no human, that is a creature of harm.
I kept repeating that line like a mantra in my head the whole time I was looking at her.
The scariest part about her gaze was that she was able to see or sense me through the door.
She isn't able to come through the door, right?
I hope not.
I would choose the elegant python over whatever this is despite my ophidiophobia.
The python was at least kind of cute.
Anyways, on to the next door.
And thus I made my way towards the third and last one of the doors.
What should I be expecting here? A creature of elegance or a creature of harm?
I thought as I brought my my left eye closer to the peephole and what I saw was…
The sharp end of a knife.
Huh?
It pierced through the peephole and into my left eye, and strangely enough, I felt no pain.
What???
I fell on my butt with confusion due to the sudden fright of getting stabbed with a knife.
It doesn't hurt…and I am unharmed.
I was oddly calm about this, wasn't I?
I just sat there on the floor, staring at the knife door with confusion for a few moments and then I…
Stood up and went back to the first door.
Never again.
And within a few steps, I returned to the first door.
So, in my eyes t h, the safest option is this.
But eyes can be deceived.
And I'm still not sure if I could just choose one or I if should go through every single one of them.
If it's the latter one t, then it doesn't matter whether I chose it or not I still have to go to the other two doors.
If it's the former, I will be dead if I choose the wrong one.
Sometimes, things that seem 'safe' aren't safe.
But I'm pretty sure none of the three doors are safe.
Well, whatever.
I can't know whether it is dangerous or not unless I enter it and see it for myself.
I steeled my resolve and chose the first door.
And then a realization hit.
So…how do I open this?
There's no knobe, I mean, there is beauty, but it's just a flat piece of light.
Do I just touch it?
I brought my hand closer to the knobe and just as I was expecting the sensation of solid surface…my hand went right through.
Oh…
That made things easy.
So they're intangible? I could just pass through them?
Intangible…
Wait, if the door is intangible does the thing on the other side come here?
Fear suddenly gripped my heart as my eyes immediately went towards the middle door a,nd fortunately for my mental health n,o one was there.
Oh, that's a relief I guess…
Anyways, onto the next stage.
Yay.
