The Kaiju No. 8!

As several explosions occurred, causing many of the buildings within the Tachikawa Base, the home of the Third Division, to be destroyed, the control room quickly sent an emergency report to everyone, as the disaster had arrived at their doorstep.

"Control room! What's happening?!" 

"Dozens of monsters have appeared within the base of the area! Judging from the current situation, it's more likely a sky raid by the monsters! Estimated resilience is 6.4... 6.2... 6.3... each monster is a base level monster!" 

"ROAARRRRRRRRRRR!!!!" 

No one could remain calm, and everyone quickly got ready to fight, as many of them promptly sent a distress signal to various bases, reporting the crisis they had encountered.

Mina and Hoshina quickly gathered all the soldiers and prepared for the fight. 

Naturally, Kikoru also joined, Kafka, Ichikawa, and all others, despite being a newbie, who had just joined, were also pulled since all the manpower was needed before their reinforcement came to stop this disaster that came toward their base before it spread to the vicinity area! 

Then, as expected with Kafka's deep knowledge, he understood the strangeness of this pterodactyl-shaped Kaiju that should have usually appeared in a solitary, flying on its own, but appeared in a group, which meant—

"Vice Captain, I believe that there should be a Kaiju who leads this group!" 

"Yes, I believe so," Hoshina confirmed Kafka's words, since in front of him, the most powerful Kaiju, the one that led this group, stood before him. 

In the shape of a humanoid kaiju with a tail that resembled a lizard, standing in front of Hoshina, and asked in a human language, "Who is the strongest here?" 

"....." 

Everyone was shocked, never expecting a Kaiju to speak in a human language. Yet, Hoshina took a deep breath, trying to calm himself, before he looked at the Kaiju with a resolute and determined expression. "It's me! I am the strongest!" 

"Then, let's fight!" 

With that answer, the Kaiju sent a powerful blow toward Hoshina as Hoshina drew his twin blades to fight it! 

"VICE-CAPTAIN!" 

As everyone on the Third Base began their battle against the Kaiju invasion, all soldiers started fighting, and the nearby base prepared reinforcements to assist the members of the Third Base. 

Yet, deep inside its heart, the mushroom-shaped Kaiju, who had been hiding and building its power, monitored everything that happened on the Third Base to see, and tried to search for the one that had caused it to feel strange. 

If someone saw this Kaiju, they would say it was Kaiju No. 9, which had the ability to create, merge into, and control other Kaiju. It could be said that it was the first smart Kaiju that thought like a human instead of a Kaiju, whose only purpose was to destroy humanity. 

The Kaiju No. 9 wasn't reckless, but it slowly built its power and made up its plan step by step, as it was still wary of the one that had somehow killed its copy. 

"But where is it?" 

As all the Kaiju on the Third Base were under its control, it could control everything; It tried to search for the variable factor that would cause a failure in its plan. 

"Who is it?" 

Many of the soldiers who appeared on Third Base were powerful, whether it was Hoshina with his unique swordsmanship style, Kikoru with her high unleashed combat power and a unique, specialized weapon, or Mina Ashiro, the strongest soldier in long-range combat.

Yet, the powerful Kaiju that led the group of pterodactyl-shaped Kaiju was so strong that everyone was in dire straits. Still, as everyone was working, it was only a matter of time before all of the Kaiju were defeated. 

"No, it can't continue like this." 

The Kaiju No. 9 felt as if it had just left that group of Kaiju to be defeated; it would be unable to discover the uneasiness that it felt previously. It felt like it should uncover the secret that made its body feel threatened, so at this moment, while it felt that it was too early, it decided to release another group of Kaiju from the underground to make the situation more chaotic. 

"Report! Report! Another Kaiju appears from the underground! Dozens of ant-shaped Kaiju have appeared and made an attack on the Third Base!" 

"What?!" 

When everyone thought that the victory was before their eyes, all of them realized that it was just the beginning, since another group of Kaiju tried to attack them once again. If this Kaiju was weak, then it might be okay, but this group of Kaiju was strong, and as the soldiers were on their limit as they had fought for a while, their situation was in crisis once again! 

"What should we do?!" 

Everyone was desperate, and no one knew what they should do since the three strongest soldiers, Hoshina, Kikoru, and Mina, were busy fighting the Kaiju No. 10. 

"ARRGGGHHHH!" 

"IZUMO!" 

The gigantic ant-shaped Kaiju that emerged from the underground destroyed everything, and they tried to kill all the soldiers, showing them a scene of despair that they would have never thought of! 

Only Kafka felt that he was at a loss, as he was unable to do anything. Even if he had worked hard, his unleashed combat power had only reached one percent, no matter how hard he tried. His talent was shown, and all he could do was just to cram his mind with all the knowledge of Kaiju within the records, libraries, and even the internet, but unfortunately, it was his first time to see the ant-shaped form of a Kaiju. 

While the ant might appear less intimidating, when its size was so immense, it had become a fearsome Kaiju as it could emerge from the underground and also inherited more or less the power of the ant that could lift 50 times its body weight! 

In front of those ant-shaped Kaiju, those large buildings were like a toy and thrown apart, causing more chaos and a nightmare-like scene that no one had ever thought of! 

'What should I do? What should I do? What should I do?'

"ICHIKAWA!!!" 

This shout woke Kafka up, and then he saw his friend, who was about to be chopped down by the ant-shaped Kaiju, which made him quickly transform into the form that he swore to everyone he wouldn't become!

Yes, Kafka knew that if he transformed, his fate would end up as an experimental subject or being transformed into a weapon or a combat armor. 

However—

'I am a member of the Defense Force!' 

When his comrades were in danger, shouldn't he save them? 

As he made his move, he sent up a blow that quickly destroyed the ant-shaped Kaiju along with the building in the vicinity. 

The impact and force behind this punch blew up everything. 

Yet, everyone was so shocked that they couldn't believe what they had seen. 

Their eyes, mouths, and everything were unable to comprehend what was happening, including Ichikawa, who was saved by Kafka. 

Yet, Kafka, who was transformed into a Kaiju, looked at Ichikawa with a smile and asked, "Are you okay, Ichikawa?" 

"..." Ichikawa. 

However, the mushroom-shaped head of the Kaiju, who saw the appearance of Kafka, and the power that exuded from Kafka's body, had its eyes full of brilliance as it realised the existence that brought him closer to the era of Kaiju that dominated the world. 

'I have finally found you!'
