I Was Just an Author… Until I Became the Character I Pity Most.



I’m Cha Jin-sung, your friendly neighborhood writer... Well I used to be… until I died in the most cliché way possible: collapsing at my desk after clicking a shady email from a “fan.”



Next thing I knew, I had woken up inside my cancelled novel—as an extra, no less: Kaiser Vanguard, a useless character I had only created out of pity.



But unlike other poor souls who get thrown into fantasy worlds, I’ve got an edge: I know the plot and the players.



The only thing I need to do is stay far, far away from the plot—not even daring to breathe the same air as the protagonist.



Yeah, right!! To hell with that background character BS!



Screw fate and the plot too. This is my damn story, why would I remain a side character?



Still, I don't want much or even need much.



Only gaining godlike powers, becoming OP, finding a wife in a world filled with countless baddies, protecting my friends and my clingy battle-crazed MC, and maybe, just maybe getting laid.



Sure, my first two week might be hellish.



But after that?



I’ll fight, flirt, break the script, and forge my own ending, in a deadly and competitive academy.



But even in a calm, dungeon-filled noble society, there is still darkness lurking in the shadows, and secrets yet to be told... Even the memories of my previous life have begun to fail me.
