It was rather amusing how much one could learn about a person in just a few minutes of interaction. Even though she was just meeting Khaos BlueBlood for the first time, she could already tell that the man was infuriatingly unreadable.

Throughout Ember's years of studying, she had prided herself in her ability to define a man in just three minutes of encounter. And while she might have spent at least thirty minutes with him in that carriage, just when she thought she was beginning to understand him and how his mind worked, his next gilded response would throw her off course.
