Plan of Action

VanCleef knew his king was calling for assistance through the Heart of Origin's local area network. Despite this knowledge, he remained deeply anxious. After a while, he saw a burst of white light emanating from the king's head, followed by the appearance of a mysterious and complex magical circle. The person the king sought was here! VanCleef understood this situation intimately; he had entered perilous situations several times over the years, only to escape with the aid of this very return scroll!

The white light faded, and a long-eared elf materialized before the thief. "Meet Archmage Thranduil!"

The units governed by the Heart of Origin did not distinguish between superiors and subordinates based on their actual identities. Instead, they ranked authority based on their standing within the Heart of Origin itself. Thranduil was one of the four heroes of the Altar of Kings, holding the second-highest authority after Galen. VanCleef and his followers were thus ranked beneath him, but above all other arms.

Thranduil nodded to Old VanCleef, then approached Galen and said, "Galen, I am here. What urgent matter compelled you to summon me so swiftly?"

Galen wasted no time, leading Thranduil directly into the tent. He briefly explained Vanessa's condition, then presented the newly acquired Blade of the Dark Empire. Thranduil took Xal'atath, intending to examine it, but then his brow furrowed, realizing the dagger was attempting to tempt him into rebellion! Immediately, a red flame surged from Thranduil's palm, searing the blade of Xal'atath!

"Ah! Damn it, another one!" With a shriek, Xal'atath immediately withdrew its will into the deepest part of the dagger, then sealed its soul perception.

"What an evil dagger," Thranduil sighed. "I have heard of this weapon in ancient times. If it had not appeared and depleted the national strength of the trolls, causing the troll empire to fracture, perhaps Azshara's army would not have found it so easy to defeat the Zandalari and become the overlord of Kalimdor!"

Upon hearing this, Galen smiled inwardly. Even if the Sunstrider bloodline was known for its pride, they were unwilling to admit that the Night Elves originated from the dark trolls.

"Okay, put this dagger aside for now. You can study it later. Look at Vanessa first."

Thranduil set down the dagger and carefully examined the female thief's condition. "Her condition closely resembles the backlash of magic damaging her mental power, causing her mental faculties to be in disarray and unable to recover on their own."

"Can it be cured?"

"It can be cured!" Hearing this, VanCleef finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Next, Thranduil began to cast a spell. A blue ray connected the palm of his left hand to a thunder lizard outside the tent, from which he was siphoning magical power. The Silver Hand Knights' dinner tonight had been barbecued thunder lizards; the only remaining one was a half-grown cub, which the paladins had not touched. A few seconds later, Thranduil raised his right hand again and pointed it at Vanessa, and magical power once again flowed through his palm into the female thief's body.

This scene reminded Galen of the Warcraft movie in his previous life, where Gul'dan saved the newborn orc baby Go'el. At the same time, he also understood Thranduil's treatment method... As the magical power entered her body, Galen observed from the follower panel that a third bar appeared below Vanessa's health and energy bars: the mana slot. And her mana value continued to rise, eventually stopping at a value of ten.

Simple and crude. Magic sucking could also be used to save people? The wizard was awesome!

"The magical power in this thunder lizard cub is too low; it can only reach this level, but this is enough." Thranduil asked Old VanCleef to give Vanessa a bottle of magic potion, and she soon woke up.

After Vanessa successfully awoke, Galen allowed her to return to the Hidden Blade headquarters to recuperate. This resolved VanCleef's worries and allowed him to continue his mission in Vol'dun with peace of mind.

Then there was Thranduil. He was here now, so they couldn't simply send him back after his immediate duties were done. Besides, the turmoil among the High Elves had long since subsided, and he was no longer needed after Kael'thas took control of the situation. They had to give him more responsibilities.

"Thranduil..." As soon as Galen began, he was interrupted by Thranduil's look. It seemed this individual disliked Galen mentioning his past. Regarding this, Galen was very understanding. He quickly changed the topic and said, "Thranduil, there are many dangerous things buried in this desert. I need you to stay here and cooperate with VanCleef. When the time is right, I will send the army over."

The prerequisite was that Zandalar asked the Alliance for help; otherwise, Galen would not dispatch official troops.

"What do you want me to do?" As the founding king of the High Elves, he was at the pinnacle in terms of politics, military, and personal strength. As soon as Galen spoke, Thranduil instantly had many ideas, but he needed to understand Galen's policy first.

"First of all, there are several forces here that do not belong to the Zandalari Empire, such as the Tortollans in the Totaka Sanctuary in the north, the fox tribe in the east, and the snake people in the Serpentine Canyon."

Especially the snake people—they were the strongest force in the Vol'dun Desert. Thousands of years ago, the servant of the Old Gods, Mythrax the Disassembler, invaded Vol'dun, and the Loa God Sethraliss of the snake people sacrificed herself, perishing alongside the evil god. However, the evil god was still alive. To prevent Mythrax from reawakening, the three surviving leaders of the snake people, Guardians Sulsis, Vorrik, and Korthek, sealed Mythrax's body in the Great Pyramid. But as time passed, Korthek gradually grew weary of peace and became greedy for power. He gathered an army called the Faithless, openly proclaimed himself king, and intended to awaken Mythrax and conquer Zuldazar.

"None of these races possess the strength to threaten you. The snake people's Loa is dead. The only one you need to pay attention to is Mythrax the Deconstructor, who is sealed in the Atal'Aman Pyramid. This individual has likely revived long ago but simply hasn't broken the seal."

"It's just a resurrected evil god. I don't mind giving him a ride!" Thranduil hadn't fought any powerful enemies since his rebirth. Now that he had become a demigod, he hoped to test his own strength. His phoenix had been thirsty for power.

"Then let's set a small goal first: unify the races of Vol'dun, and then burn that evil god. Is that acceptable?" Galen offered a goal by the way.

"No problem, I'll leave right away!"

It was a good choice to send Thranduil out to increase the reputation of the fox people, Tortollans, and snake people, and integrate them to form an army when necessary, or simply cannon fodder.

When Thranduil departed, Galen found himself alone again... Speaking of which, I am the High King of Stromgarde, High King of the Alliance, Lord of the Holy Spirit, Grand Lord of the Crusade of the Holy Light, Savior of Azeroth, and Galen'Remar is also the number one Night Elf. Why am I acting alone again? No, that's too embarrassing. We need to get more people. We must continue to get more people.

Galen summoned a magical flying carpet; there was no better vehicle in the desert than a flying carpet. He operated the flying carpet and moved quickly towards the southwest of Vol'dun.
