Pirate Haven

What did the Lord of Bloodsail mean by building a new base in Vol'dun? The pirates guessed he intended to establish a pirate city. Years ago, a Kul Tiran rogue named Harlan Sweete had announced his plan to create a pirate haven, a place beyond Kul Tiras's control where pirates could live freely. Little did the buccaneers know that behind Harlan was Ashvane, a high-ranking lady of Kul Tiras, who originally sought to build such a city to enlist pirates for her own agenda.

However, Galen had altered the fates of Daelin and Jaina Proudmoore, and the Ashvane family no longer dared to reveal their ambitions. Thus, the future pirate sanctuary of Freehold remained a desolate fishing village. But now, a true haven for pirates would soon rise in this desert!

There's a natural balance in the world. Even a generally peaceful race like the Tauren can produce a few villains, and the probability is even higher for humans, a race with complex hearts. Instead of wasting time and effort suppressing them with force, it's often better to gather them, provide an outlet for their energies, and use them as cannon fodder when necessary. Much like the profession of a Warlock! It's simply perfect. Galen had even envisioned Freeport's future: he aimed to transform this town into the Las Vegas of Azeroth! Fortunately, the startup capital and manpower were readily available.

Galen instructed Ana Bloodfang and Duke Farrewell to gather the pirates ashore. After assigning some to guard the troll skeleton pirates, the rest began leveling the land. A portal shimmered open, and a green-skinned goblin stepped out.

"Oh! Boss, is this the construction site for your grand project? This place is so barren!" the goblin exclaimed.

Galen replied expressionlessly, "Revilgaz, this place is perfect for building a port town!"

Among the goblins, Galen trusted Gazlowe the most, but he, along with Blackfuse, the dwarf master craftsman Mekkatorque, and Thermaplugg, were at a critical stage in developing individual mechs and couldn't be spared to supervise Freeport. Without resorting to the Farmers and Masons Guild of the Heart of Origin, Revilgaz was currently the most suitable candidate.

The appearance of Revilgaz, however, caused whispers among the pirates. Their simple reason: their leader had actually appointed a goblin as supervisor. Perhaps unable to bear the murmuring, Revilgaz shouted in dissatisfaction, "I was in charge of building Booty Bay!" He puffed out his chest proudly, "Booty Bay, the pearl of Stranglethorn Vale!"

At this, a bold pirate scoffed, "Wasn't that place recently captured? It was looted by the Zandalari fleet. You couldn't even save your own statue outside the port!"

Facing the pirate's taunt, Revilgaz mumbled with an embarrassed look, "Yeah, well, it was a small failure." Seeing that Revilgaz had been silenced and more goblin laborers were pouring out of the portal, the pirates ceased their teasing. After all, these goblins were personally selected by Galen, and they had to obey their boss.

Revilgaz began to organize his goblins to survey the land. After observing for a while, Galen signaled Tethys to take Zem'lan's head from Mr. Toren.

"You five and your crews have made significant contributions to capturing this port. As a reward, you may unite to form the Bloodsail Fifth Fleet!"

Among the Bloodsail Pirates, this was an immense reward. Being a fleet commander was no easy feat. Zasj was a Bloodsail elder, not only powerful but also backed by an entire Naga clan. Tethys and Ana, a formidable shadow walker and a powerful troll witch doctor respectively, possessed legendary strength capable of dominating any region. Farrell of the Fourth Fleet brought his own vast resources into the group; in Kul Tiras, he was a legitimate duke with substantial property, 12 merchant ships, and 24 warships. The Fourth Fleet was essentially formed and expanded around his considerable assets.

While Raoul, Eudora, and Jolly controlled the Black Tooth Gang, the Water Rats Gang, and the Breakers, their combined wealth couldn't match Farrell's. Not to mention Mr. Heavy Fist and Kara Cape, who operated independently. In this timeline, without the Defias Brotherhood or the Blackwater Pirates, their status as high-level professionals didn't cause trouble anywhere. Now, even forming the Fifth Fleet together was a massive step towards success!

After arranging everything, Galen led Zasj and Tess towards the east of the port, where Zem'lan's Treasure Island was located. On the coast east of the port, a small harbor held a single small boat. This was Zem'lan's primary means of transport between Treasure Island and the port. Zem'lan had cursed not only his crew but also the Treasure Island itself. Other creatures would become lost due to the curse, and only members of his Undead Fleet could find it by boat.

Galen and the two Naga boarded the boat. After Zasj cast a spell, the boat swiftly cut through the sea. Soon, they saw a small island shrouded in mist. It looked less like an island and more like a larger reef. Coupled with the thick fog, its concealment was remarkably effective.

The expression on the skull Tess carried grew increasingly grim throughout the journey from the port to Treasure Island. His secret treasure hiding place had been found so easily!
