Chapter 4: Escape

MERILYN'S POV

After Miss Ellen left the room, I quickly finished the food and went back to bed. Since I came here, all I do is eat and sleep. Which I was not used to, but liked it. As evening came, a maid entered. " Ma'am, master told me to show you around." She said. Show me around? That would give me a great chance to run away. I got up and followed her.

As we got out, I was no ordinary house, it was a palace. Dark aesthetics, silk wine draped on a very tall window. Furniture in their finest complementing the nature of the room. A big dining hall with, with a huge kitchen in which maids are working tirelessly. To be honest, the house was huge. We went outside and saw a garden . I was beautiful. All the colors and fragrance were filled in the air. I spent most of the time there was monitoring the movements of the guards . There were a lot of guards. Like literally everyway. I finally noticed a back door where guards exits. Guards were also there but there were patrolling. I got a chance and finally left the house. As I stepped out, I realized the house was in the middle of nowhere. I was a thick forest. Going deeper and deeper, I heard the sound of a car and realized there will be a road ahead. I rushed forward and saw a car approaching. I stood in the middle of the road and waved both my hands. The stopped in front of me. I quickly told the driver to take me anywhere from here. He looked at me for a while and nodded for me to enter. " Is the bus stop ok?". I nodded. For about an hour,we were still moving in the car. I dozed off. " Miss....miss.... we're here." The man said waking me up. " Oh....th...thank...yo..you" I looked around and noticed I was in front of the same house I ran from. I looked back at the man and saw the man and he was smiling. " Think you can escape from them?" He said. " No...no..no" I opened the door and tried running away but two run to me and grabbed my hand. I flinched and tried to get out of their hold. " No....l..let me go, please" I said between sobs.

I was sent back to my room and there was the three brothers with something flickering in their eyes. One moved toward me and the other held his hand. He yanked his hand out and walked towards me. I moved back really scared. God what is happening? As I raised my head, I saw his eyes changing between red and black from the usual light brown color. I took another step back and one moved towards us. " Look Damien, control yourself" he said. "Get the fuck away from me,Jace" the one who was referred to as Damien snapped. I looked at him and saw black veins appearing under his eyes, fangs came out then claws. God...no...no. I took a step back. "She's our mate Damien!" The other shouted. His eyes turned.... black? He swayed his hand and pushed Jace to hit the wall. The other, Anthonio, stepped in and was hit by Damien.

AUTHOR'S POV

Damien lost his control and hit the innocent girl. His hand turned her neck and sunk his fangs in Merilyn. She shouted. His hand came to her neck and pressed to cut her breathing. His other hand went to his thigh and his claws dug into her soft skin. She screamed and yelled but that only made him dig into her more. The other brothers somehow soothed him little by little and he loosened his grip. He retreated his fangs and claws and I whimpered. I was drown in my own blood. Jace took Damien out. And Anthonio approached me. I flinched when he touched me. He looked at me with sympathy and picked me up to the bed. He kissed my temple and left the room.
