Family Rift or Family Bonding

Meanwhile, outside the dark domain, a little girl could be seen approaching the sleeping baby.

As though fate was working, the moment the girl poked the baby's cheek the second time, the soul broke out of the seal and took control of the body, gradually spreading the one-metre domain into a much larger one, a typical sign of soul possession.

The baby who had now been possessed by a newly created soul acted out of instinct, attacking the first person who posed a threat to it, the little girl.

This little girl was none other than Sylvine, the Vampire King's only daughter.

Sylvine's sight blurred for a moment and she suddenly felt a searing and painful sensation on her wrist. She could feel her blood being sucked at a fast rate, intending to suck her dry.

Thankfully, she got saved by her Aunt Mira.

This was her finally thought but because she had lost a good amount of blood to a hungry baby vampire, she felt dizzy and stumbled backwards, falling unconscious.

Back to present.

Sarvia hurried over to catch her daughter when she saw her stumbling, utilizing her super-speed.

She cast a hateful glare at Mira and the now unconscious baby before leaving.

The wound on Sylvine's wrist had surprisingly not closed and the tiny bite marks were still evident.

However, before she could get to the gate, Sylvine floated out of her hands and fell onto the bed gently, like a puppet being controlled.

Sarvia knew who had done this. There was only one person who possessed the ability to control life forms other than the Vampire King. It was Mira, his second wife.

Sarvia cast an angry glare, "Have you and your son not done enough? Give me back my daughter and let me go and find a way by myself."

Her eyes turned scarlett red and she bared her fangs offensively, her fingers were lighting in small sparks.

She was a vampire who possessed the fire attunement and she had perfect control over them so using it was not a problem for her.

She threw a ball of flame at Mira but Mira raised a green leafy wall to fend herself.

It might have seemed like a stupid move to fight fire with the wood element.

After all, fire burned wood.

However, upon closer observance, when the fire hit the wood, it was doused out completely.

It was actually because the leaf barrier had slight dew drops everywhere around it.

"One must never underestimate the power of elf blood, Sarvia", Mira said, before dissipating the barrier.

Yes, Mira had elf blood in her because she was a hybrid.

She was one of the few successful experiments that the witches made by joining elfs and vampires blood as tools to destroy the royal family.

However, their kind was rescued by the General of the Blood Army and they worked as servants in the land of vampires. The slightly disobedient one were sold off to Lords as slaves.

Wilson teleported right beside Sarvia and held her shoulders,

"Calm down, Sarvia.", he said, looking right into her eyes.

Miraculously, she calmed down.

Wilburson had just hypnotized her.

Soon, she fell into his arms with her eyes closed.

"I will take Sarvia back to her room. Take care of Sylvine, the healer will be here soon.", Wilburson said out loud. His voice carried no trace of warmth and you could feel slight anger in his voice.

It was obvious that he blamed his own son for what had happened to his daughter.

Then without looking back, he left, phasing right through the door.

He teleported straight to Sarvia's room and lay her down on the bed gently.

He put the fringes of hair on her face behind her ear, oblivious to the fact that that was her most sensitive spot.

Her eyes opened immediately, and they were scarlet red. She held him by his hand and threw him on the bed before fiercely baring her fangs at him.

However, she recognized him by his scent and quickly let go. She got off the bed and stood a distance before bowing deeply, trying to hide her embarrassment.

"Apologies, My Liege. I just happen to get alert when my sensitive spot is touched."

Wilson also got off the bed.

"Do not worry, Sarvia. I am not offended in any way."

"I will take my leave now.", he said.

His footsteps on the marble floor were strong and firm and it echoed throughout the room.

He paused when he reached the door.

"You can stop being so formal with me, Sarvia. You're my wife as well."

Then he left without waiting for a reply.

Sarvia was left in her room, stunned.

What had just happened?

The Vampire King whom she had always been formal to without any words of complaint for one hundred years had suddenly told her not to be formal with him?

For her entire life, she had been taught royal virtues of servitude and how to be a good wife and Queen and that included according respect to her husband.

All these years, though uncomfortable, she had been dignified and rigid, in hopes of pleasing him.

And now, he had told her not to be formal with him.

Sarvia was beyond happy with this development.

She was suddenly unsure of what exactly Wilson meant by what he said.

'Does that mean he also accepts me now?', Sarvia giggled like a little girl when she thought of that.

Did it mean she could call him Willson just like how Mira called him?

She suddenly imagined calling him Will and his surprised expression, then she covered her face, giggling softly like a little child who had gotten her favorite candy.

So that night, Sarvia slept peacefully and had a happy dream because of what the Vampire King had told her.
