By a freak incident, plants on Earth have gained sentience and evolved into lethal organisms that can kill a human on touch.



Society has collapsed inward; humans live within the compact safety of The Fortress, a walled metropolis shielded from the horrors outside.



In this new world, Botanists are no longer peaceful scientists - these skilled researchers and adventurers explore and fight back against the oppressive Flora, hoping to one day carve humanity a path back to dominion.



Phin, a mere Seed Appraiser, is thrust into the world of Botany, where he must rely on his encyclopedic plant knowledge to survive.
