Back at Greenland Villa, John approached the entrance and noticed Alice standing against the doorframe. She had one long, slender leg stretched out, blocking his path. Her eyes gleamed mischievously as she addressed him, "Hum, John, where did you go when your sisters were swimming? Hmm?"
Before John could react, Alice rushed over, grabbed his clothes, and took a deep sniff. Her eyes narrowed, and she asked with sudden suspicion, "Why do you smell like a woman? Did you really go out for girls?"
John, feeling speechless, couldn't help but respond, "You three gorgeous women live at home. Can I not have the scent of women around me?"
Alice, however, wasn't convinced. "Lying! You don't smell like us. This is from another woman. If you don't tell me the truth, I'll lynch you," she warned, her playful tone tinged with a hint of seriousness.
John was utterly floored. Alice had really gone from rummaging through his trash to now having some sort of sixth sense about the women he encountered.
"All right, I'll explain," he relented.
He reluctantly told her about his blind date, which instantly piqued the curiosity of not only Alice but also Tracy, who was nearby.
Tracy, with an unusually curious and slightly nervous expression, asked, "Little brother, do you like the girl you met? Was she good-looking?"
There was a slight awkwardness in Tracy's voice, as if she was secretly hoping for a particular answer, but also afraid of it. Her contradictory feelings were evident in the way she asked the question.
Queenie, who was sitting on the sofa, maintained a cold, indifferent expression, but her sharp eyes betrayed her curiosity. She, too, was interested in John's answer.
John, sensing their unease, grinned and replied deliberately, "She's nice. Although she's not as beautiful as you three sisters, she's still pretty."
Tracy, still hesitating, asked carefully, "So… are you satisfied with the date?"
John gave her an exaggerated thoughtful look before responding, "It's… just okay. I'm still thinking about it."
At this point, Queenie could no longer remain calm. She shot up from the sofa and stormed over, grabbing John's ear with a cold glare. "We're all older than you! We're not rushing to get married. What are you so worried about?"
John's ear stung from the grip, but he couldn't help but feel a rush of affection. His "cold goddess" of a sister really was adorable when she showed concern.
Tracy, noticing how harshly Queenie was tugging on John's ear, chimed in, "Sis, take it easy! You're turning his ear red! If you're angry, you should do that to the third sister instead!"
Alice shot back immediately, "You! I've already hit you once in the pool, and now you're taking revenge?!"
"I'm your second sister! You should respect me!" Tracy grumbled.
Alice and Tracy continued their usual playful bickering, which John had grown accustomed to. But just as they calmed down, Alice glanced at John with a smirk and asked, "Little John, do you have a picture of that girl? I'm curious to see what kind of girl can satisfy you."
Both Queenie and Tracy, equally curious, turned their attention to John.
John, with a wicked smile, replied, "Not only do I have pictures, but I also have videos!"
Alice's eyes lit up with excitement. "Really? Show it to us, hurry!" she urged, her voice eager.
Without wasting time, John led them to Kate's bedroom and turned on the computer. The next few minutes were spent in stunned silence as they watched a disturbing video — a girl being brutally beaten by three other women. The level of violence was so severe, it would have required a mosaic to hide some of the details.
John looked horrified, his voice thick with frustration as he said, "Sisters, you've really misunderstood me. The girl in this video is my blind date today!"
The trio froze, their faces pale with shock. Alice was the first to break the silence, bursting into laughter. "Ha! John, you're really lucky! Only you could find yourself in such a crazy situation. I think you'd be the hero of that video!"
John's face darkened. "Are you gloating?"
Tracy, still indignant, added, "What kind of people are they? No shame! They're the ones who should be embarrassed, not you! And they have the audacity to come back for blind dates. It's just disgraceful."
Queenie, usually the calmest of the group, shot John a steely look. "Kate, how dare you store this video on your computer? When I get back, we're going to have a serious talk about this."
She turned her icy gaze to John. "Now, move Kate's computer to my room, and don't even think about using it anymore. Do you hear me?"
John, not daring to defy Queenie, complied without hesitation. He moved Kate's computer to Queenie's room right away, knowing better than to challenge her orders.
That night, as John slept, a sense of unease suddenly washed over him. His instincts flared as he opened his eyes, a cold, chilling feeling creeping down his spine. Someone with ill intent was drawing closer — step by step, silently, with a murderous aura.
He remained perfectly still, waiting, listening.
Suddenly, a slight sound came from Alice's room next door.
John, ever alert, stood quietly by the window. The bright moonlight illuminated the surroundings, and he saw a shadowy figure slip over the windowsill from Alice's room.
It was Alice.
John immediately recognized her slender figure, even though she was dressed in night clothes and wearing a mask. He wasn't surprised. Alice was always prepared for anything.
John had known from their first meeting that Alice was no ordinary woman. The moment they'd fought, he had sensed the killer's instinct from her. No normal person could possess such skill.
But despite everything, John didn't feel the need to pry into Alice's life. After all, she was his sister, and he loved her deeply. Whatever she chose to do, he respected her choices.
