Synopsis :
A human soul reincarnated into the AU world of 'The Lion King'. He was reborn as the twin brother of the crowned prince Simba.
He was forced to survive in a cruel version of the Disney world, where the weak are hunted, mercy is rare, and strength is the only law. Amid the roar of fallen Kings, Leo carved his path as a force of nature.
He was known for his strength, his dominance, his kingdom, his pride and his achievements.
But most of all, he was known as the true Lion King.
For he was not a born-king but a forged-king.
Through trials, through setbacks, through loss, through pain and through blood.
He only came out stronger.

I'm getting tired of these magic, system, supernatural overpowered fantasy stuff. So this was my attempt to bringing us back to something more primal and realistic. There will be no system, magic or other stuff. it's just a human becoming a lion and then turning himself into a savage motherfucking beast.
A review written after much deliberation. ●The premise is in The Lion King we all grew up watching. The original movie stays tied down in the Pride Lands and the place where Simba takes refuge from Scar and his hyenas. The author here expands upon the world and explores new areas and environments. The benefits and the hardships that come with. For that reason world building receives 5☆ from me as he's done all that could be done. You can't expect a lion to go to New York or Paris just like you can't expect it to travel in space or through the multiverse. ●The author always delivers on his word for a long as I've seen him. If by chance he needs some time or has any prior obligation, he informs us beforehand as we're impatient and even makes up for it - be it by extra or longer chapters. For that reason, update stability receive 5☆ as well. ●Imagine this, you write about a guy having green hair with pink strands scattered between while he is an African. He can have rainbow coloured nails, clothing that puts Dumbledore's fashion sense to look spectacular and irises that have greater gravity than the blackhole at the centre of our universe. Mind you the setting is in the real world and no one will question you but rather start glazing him. Lions in the real world unfortunately do not have the opportunity to be that colourful. Different shades and different sizes only. It does become a bit bland seeing the same palette being mixed to different shades other than the rare white lion. Lions, animals in general, perceive each other also with the help of pheromones. The author and us readers are human, so we can't imagine how much it affects them. The importance of these pheromones is much more important to them then us. The author does try to incorporate this into the fic. For this reason, character design receives 4☆. ●Often the author describes vividly while narrating and this helps with imagining more clearly. The grammar and spellings are generally good but sometimes he makes mistakes. Nothing major enough to warrant action, cause confusion or break the flow. Maybe I'm immune to the tiny flaws that occur on a blue moon here due to the truckload amount that is present in some other novels... The author can make the sentences and the paragraphs flow into one another making it a smooth reading experience while sprinkling jokes here and there sometimes. He also likes to give cliffhangers... and sometimes doesn't by uploading the whole arc at once. For that reason, writing quality receives 5☆ from me. ●Now for the main part everyone stays hooked or drops immediately. If you've read other reviews, you will know that many people read till chapter 6 or 7 when our mc lost his tail, on the bright side it's still long enough to cover his groin from the back. Many have argued that a lion that can recover from a shortened/lost tail is good as done and if it can actually do something it is a fairy tale and that the author is a hypocrite for going against what he wanted to write(read his review for context). However, animals and humans both can adapt to circumstances, even more so when they're young. A young person with one leg missing can go about his life with only one leg. But am old man, introduced to the Internet(it can be anything else as well) can still have troubles understanding it. Since enough explanation is given in the story I won't elaborate more on this. The next agenda on this topic is the hypothetical situation of one of the females who likes the mc being with Scar and NTR-ing the mc. Some people left when the possibility arose. This won't happen as lions do not mate until they are around 3-4 years old while the mc generation is just around 3. Also the story rests in the hands of the author, so why worry? The age reason is genuine and the 3-4 years is a minimum and the lioness also has to consent. That should clear up confusion... if not then please tell me how is Nala left alone for Simba with Scar never touching her. Now for the good parts, the story follows cannon until Mufasa dies and Scar takes over. Then a timeskip follows where afterwards the mc leaves the Pride Lands to other places. Pretty interesting lineup of antagonists and future enemies. Allies, enemies, spectators etc is all there. Speaking of spectators, there are human researchers like here on Earth who study animals and make documentaries for us to watch. Thus the advent of documentary episodes where a human perspective is given by experts. Some readers absolutely love it while others loathe its existence. Personally I like them but think it will be better if once in a while, like really rarely, a regular guys pov is given, like a group of friends(DreamThree does good work on these 'reaction chapters' as i call it). The author plans to not make these episodes frequently which is a good thing in my book as there is quite a lot of recap in those chapters. Like a new episode of One Piece where more than half the episode is stuff from the previous episode... As I said it's not going to be frequent from what I know. For that reason, story development receives 4☆ from me. If you have any questions, complaints, or corrections, please let me know below. It took a great deal of time for me to write and I'm on mobile right now, so I can't view the whole thing at once. I might've screwed up somewhere in the report I've written. Never did I think it would be so big. Please forgive me for any mistake or flaws. Hope you have a good day(or night).
(This is as of chapter 63.) As you can see I've done five stars, But I want to be clear that I do so for a reason. so let us start with the first catagory Writing quality: Coming from someone who hasn't watched a nature documentary in years, This story's details are incredibly entertaining. The way the author inserts their knowledge of zoology, biology, and sociology. (Not sure if I spelled those words right.) I've got a cold right now so my brain is kind of foggy so I can't give proper details but in this story, you get a real feeling for what is happening, it is, in a word. Discryptive. Moving on, Stability of Updates. To be honest, I read through the entire story up to Chapter 62 yesterday and just now read 63, so I don't REALLY know if it is consistant, however, the fact that there are SIXTY THREE chapters ids enough for me to give five stars in this catagory, because let's be honest here, most of us reading these stories have and will never write close to that many. So, as they do on AO3, Kudos my dude. Story Development: Simply put, like our dear author said in their own review, this story goes out of its way to stay as in the realm of reality. Maybe I'm a nerd, but the way biology is showen in this story's world, goes beyond all but the most awesome of magics in fantasy worlds. In this story, biology isn't a limitation, its a feature. Character Design: God DAMN! Do the animals of this world feel like they're animals. After thinking about it, I think it's in the way they react to the world. From the way The Pride react to, and move on from, Mufasa's death. To the way they can kill and then eat other thinking and feeling animals... They don't feel they are humans in animal bodies, not even Leo does, and I think that is incredibly impressive on the authors part. World Background: The most impressive part of the world building in this story, at least in my view, the intergration of real world consequences into a disney story about friendship and and hakuna matata. I got to say, I am most impressed that this story managed to go where it has without leaving me feeling jarred. From the first death to now, this story has felt real in a way that cultivating for a thousand years in a cave, or snaping half the universe away doesn't. And that realism that could so easily feel like a limitation instead breathes life into the struggles the characters face that is captivating in a way that is vary hard to find. I rarely feel the urge to comment or review, Which might make me a bad reader, but in the end, It's just how I am, this time however, I felt like I had something to share. so when I saw the request to write a review by our dear author at the end of chapter 63, I went "Huh, I actually feel like I have somthing to say." In the end, here I am having said my peace for now. To our dear author, thank you for bringing a story I truly feel like I haven't read before. This isn't to say I don't like to reread things, but this has been a novel and wonderful experiance. so without further adue
Before you read the story, keep in mind that this lion has no tail he's a handicapped lion. I understand the author had a reason for this, but realistically, a lion without a tail could be considered one of the weakest lions. I mean it. If you understand the purpose of a lion’s tail, you’ll know it's primarily used for balance, especially when moving across uneven terrain or making sharp turns while running. It's also an important tool for communication and signaling emotions within the pride. I know this pathetic lion is meant to become king, but come on! How can you be a great king if you struggle to communicate? A lion without a tail is like a person with a communication disability—how can they lead effectively? But he can talk...-_- really? this is Lion fiction not human fiction 🤬 👎 Author be better be realistic if you want to create a great lion don't remove it's tail.
chapters 1-6 are decent and follow the vision the author laid out. MC is realistic and has no system to help. however on chapter 7, the author trashed the novel by making the Mc a cripple with no tail and somehow against all the odds in the universe having the Mc as a lion cub fight and beat an adult leopard. even if it's a human mind in the body of a lion cub, the ability to do that is outside the boundaries of realism. author Even tried to explain removing the tail as "removing a weakness, same with what's done to hunting dogs". usually I let things slide, but not this time. felines need their tail and now he's disfigured and majorly nerfed for no actual good reason. just the wounds alone he got is enough for infection to set in and kill him off. you cannot use reasoning for canines for felines. I really recommend going back and either editing the chapter or just deleting chapter 7 and starting fresh. this ain't it bro, you ain't cooking on this one.
This story is interesting and different, and that's why it caught my attention. I've read other stories by this author and I realized that both have a problem: the lack of development of the world, or as they say here, a global context. Author, you're very good at fight scenes and ideas, but man, your world is gray. I'm not a writer, but I think that at the beginning of this story you could have done a "slow burn" allowing us to see the protagonist's first fights, talk to other characters and so on. Another thing is the lack of a "general point of view" and "other characters' point of view". This may not seem like a big deal, but if the main character's point of view is not well done, the world becomes gray. I don't care about the other characters, they're like those NPCs in Skyrim who only say two or three lines, and if they die, it doesn't matter. Like, Mufasa has two or three lines, and some minor mentions, the main character's mother 5 times, and the others, almost nothing. As if Mufasa's death was expected, but it doesn't change anything in the story. If MC's mother dies, it doesn't matter. There are at least 5 lionesses and more than 6 cubs, but as I said, if something happens to them, it doesn't matter. They don't talk, they don't think, they don't interact. As a spoiler here: But MC is the strongest of the cubs, but Simba is the "crown prince", but that doesn't matter. They don't talk about how this could influence the future of the pride, if it could lead to a fight in the future. Or how they say that hunting rabbits is hard, but look, MC catches a lot, but guess what... nobody talks about that, nobody talks about the fact that a disabled cub (without a tail, which is a big problem) can hunt, he's the first one, by the way, but they don't talk about anything. Or when he survived against a cheetah, like imagine your 6 year old son fighting a young adult and coming out alive, and not only that, but he not only survived, but he also has the blood of the attacker, as if he were a child, and he won! But guess what... nobody talks about it, they don't talk about it, they don't discuss it, nothing. It's like they don't care, like nothing happened. And that's boring and makes everything irrelevant.
You know it's already going to be a banger if it's written by Emmanuel.
There aren't many Lion King fan stories out there and each one is a treasure. Since the author of this novel is a Capricorn, what do you expect other than a masterpiece? The beginning may be difficult, but I know it will get better. Thank you.
Saw the afterword from the Demon Slayer fic and I immediately rushed over here. It’s kinda funny how much faith I have in this author cooking up the best shit on this platform. Haven’t read it yet, but it’s definitely gonna be good. I’m excited.
I was very intrigued by another Lion King Fanfic, since they are very rare. I wrote Lion King: Son of Mufasa, which has the same premise, which made me more interested in reading this. although the premiss is the same, the story and the feel is completely different. My story has a more Disney feel to it, while this is a more brutal, animalistic story. It's different but in a good way, and an enjoyable read so far. 4/5 stars so far! the best part is probably that Leo accepts himself as a lion. he is not a human in lion skin, no, he is a lion who was once a human. there is a subtle difference that makes a huge difference. for example, as a cub, he finds the idea of mating with lions, quite disgusting, however he also accepts that as soon as puberty hits and hormones kick in, he will probably love mating with lions. He also accepts the gore s being a lion. there is no unnecessary moral dilemma about being a lion, which really makes this enjoyable to read.
This is the fifth story by this author that I've started reading, and the most ridiculous thing is, this is the fifth story that I'm dropping again. To be honest, I don't even know what I was counting on. On the one hand, I really like his work, but on the other... They either genuinely hate their own main characters. Or he just really likes to turn everything around him into a drama. I guess the thing is that I didn't expect it to happen so early.
There are not enough chapters for a proper review, but considering who the author is,I am inclined to believe it is another masterpiece. Lord knows this app needs some creativity, and what's more creative than 'realistifying' one of the most popular children's movie. Looking forward for more. I do wonder tho, If Leo will create his own prife or takeover Mufasa's.
is this why you stopped updating on the masterpiece to write this, what, garbage man i was waiting for the demon slayer but I see you updating this but not that
I Hope You Update Daily On This Story And Please Dont Drop It
so I will just be pointing out the reviews:- 1. writing is good 2. the idea is that of a mix between Disney lion King and reality so characteristic and biology between real and this story's lion will be different 3. Animals have a higher sense of emotional connect and intellect but not enough to strategise or love unconditionally so all those inaccuracy just kind of clear of by themselves 4, so basically just think of it as a fantasy world with setting like national Geographic 5,personally I would also like if you could also add franchise like madagascar, jungle book, tarzen like setting also so personally just yake as mamy liberties as you can like you can add sunderbann forest of India just around the part where simba went after running away or add another pride of lions to add madagascar story lines I have no problem as long as it is entertaining to read
