Boom! Boom! Boom!
Explosions rocked the open plains. The Hidden Mist Technique that Raiga had deployed was now lit up in hues of orange and red, ignited by Yuhara's relentless fire attacks.
The intense flames had only thickened the fog, but it had become uninhabitable—too hot, too dangerous to remain inside.
Forced out, Raiga burst from the flaming mist in a disheveled state. His twin swords had been fused together, coated with Lightning Release chakra to shield himself from the searing heat.
He knew if he stayed in there any longer, he'd be cooked alive. There was no way to counterattack from inside the smoldering shroud.
"Damn that guy!"
Raiga cursed under his breath, recalling the fate of the Sky Ninjas from the Second Great Ninja War—those airborne foes who were eventually destroyed by Konoha's Aburame clan using insects to dismantle their flying devices.
Raiga did have anti-air capabilities, but he hadn't even had time to use them before Yuhara's Fire Release pinned him down. Worse yet, the mist had turned into a suffocating, blazing trap.
If he had stayed, he risked being roasted—or choked to death.
"Oh? The rat comes crawling out?"
Floating high above, Yuhara couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of Raiga scrambling from the mist. But his hands didn't stop moving.
He still held air superiority, and Raiga had shown no means of countering that. Why would Yuhara stop now?
"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!"
With a flash of hand seals, a large fireball roared to life and shot down toward Raiga.
"Hmph."
Raiga snorted coldly, leaping backward. The fireball scorched the ground where he had just stood but failed to touch him.
Without the mist, he no longer had a way to obstruct Yuhara's Sharingan, but the open terrain gave him more room to move—and it showed.
He immediately took the opportunity to launch a counterattack before Yuhara could follow up.
"Lightning Style: Raiga!"
Crossing his twin blades, he surged them with high-voltage chakra. When he drew them apart, the violent Lightning chakra shot straight into the sky toward Yuhara.
Yuhara calmly maneuvered around the incoming blast, easily evading with precise chakra control mid-air, even while forming hand seals.
"Fire Style: Great Fire Dragon Technique!"
This time, he didn't just release one dragon—but three.
Three flaming dragons twisted through the air, descending from different angles to converge on Raiga's location with terrifying speed.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The roaring impact and expanding flames covered the ground with thick smoke. But again, Raiga slipped away.
Yuhara sighed slightly, displeased.
Sure, he had control of the skies. He had forced Raiga to stay on the move, denying him any chance to hide or regroup.
But this still felt like using a cannon to swat a fly. Raiga was small and far too agile.
On a battlefield, his strategy would be devastating. But in a one-on-one duel, it was inefficient.
Still, Yuhara had achieved what he wanted. Raiga no longer dared to use the Hidden Mist Technique. But this confirmed one thing: when he returned, he'd need to learn more Fire Release techniques.
Now that he had air superiority, he had to make the most of it.
Techniques like Great Fire Annihilation, Fire Destruction, and Dragon Flame Song Jutsu—he needed them all. They were perfect when combined with his Flight Technique.
Landing back on the ground, Yuhara reached for several kunai.
But in that moment, a dragon-shaped mass of lightning spun toward him violently.
Lightning Style: Thunder Dragon Tornado.
Yuhara recognized it instantly. He hurled his kunai and used Body Flicker to dodge just in time.
Though it didn't hit him, the lightning tore through the ground, tearing apart the scorched terrain. It disrupted the remaining flames, giving Raiga more space to maneuver.
In a blink, Raiga closed the distance and charged Yuhara directly.
"Die!"
With a fierce roar, Raiga stabbed forward, twin swords crackling with Lightning chakra.
Clang!
Yuhara's Sharingan spun. Two kunai appeared in his hands, blocking the incoming blades with perfect precision.
Sparks flew, and Raiga smirked. Because a moment later, his Lightning chakra surged through the metal and into Yuhara's body.
Electricity sparked across Yuhara, arcs of chakra enveloping his entire form.
"Didn't you know kunai conduct electricity?"
Raiga's voice dripped with triumph—until it froze.
Poof!
The body in front of him dissolved into a puff of white smoke. Only the two kunai clattered to the ground.
"A Shadow Clone? When?!"
"You really thought I wouldn't see that coming?"
Yuhara's voice rang out from another direction—along with the whistle of flying weapons and the sharp clash of metal.
Raiga immediately leapt back, his instincts screaming.
He recognized the sound—Uchiha clan projectile technique.
Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!
Kunai rained down from above, striking the ground all around him. Though none hit directly, Raiga was forced to dodge rapidly.
Just as he caught his breath, Yuhara's voice returned, cold and clear.
"You've already lost, Raiga."
Yuhara stepped from the shadow of the flames, his crimson Sharingan glowing ominously.
"I've lost?" Raiga sneered. "You're pretty arrogant for a brat."
"You'll find out soon enough whether I'm arrogant or right." Yuhara smiled. "Your dodges were impressive, sure. But I never planned on the kunai killing you."
As he spoke, Yuhara began weaving hand seals—boldly, right in front of him.
Raiga saw the opening and tried to strike—but suddenly winced in pain. His body refused to move freely.
Glancing down, he realized fine, almost invisible wires had wrapped around him—connecting to the kunai scattered around the field. All of them traced back to Yuhara.
"You—!"
Panic flashed across Raiga's face. He had walked right into the trap.
Yuhara's eyes gleamed coldly. "Don't forget… I'm an Uchiha."
With a surge of chakra, his jutsu ignited.
"Fire Style: Fire Dragon Technique!"
