Chapter 2: Not Just Another Player, But the One Who Bends the Rules

Seven blinked, his eyes adjusting as everything around him settled. He was just… floating. Hanging there in the middle of wide, open space with nothing but blue sky stretching out in every direction.

No ground, no clouds, no horizon — just empty sky, wrapping around him like he'd been dropped into the middle of nowhere.

Weirdest part? No wind. Not even a breeze. He was just suspended there, like the air itself had hit pause.

Right in front of him, a glowing board popped up — a status screen, floating neatly in place.

Lines of text and numbers blinked softly, showing off his details like some kind of character menu, as if the world had flipped into game mode without bothering to warn him first.

Seven narrowed his eyes, lips pulling slightly as he stared at the floating board hanging right in front of him.

"This is straight-up ripped out of an RPG game."

He lifted his hand, hovering it near the shimmering surface. The details glowed faintly, almost see-through, as if the numbers and words were made of thin light barely holding together. His fingers twitched slightly, but the board stayed still, waiting.

His gaze flicked quickly across the layout, skipping past the labels and titles, locking straight onto the stats. His eyes moved fast, scanning each number, each line, curiosity bubbling up despite the sheer weirdness of it all.

Seven let out a slow, amused breath, his smirk curling wider as his eyes roamed over the glowing board. His fingers twitched lightly, hovering just above the floating interface, a lazy spark flickering in his gaze.

"So… let's be real here. No matter what class I pick, META-wise, I'm already busted. Literally can't lose. So why not? Might as well pick whatever sounds like the most fun to screw around with."

He swiped his finger across the shining list, names rolling past one after another until something made his eyes sharpen, his grin tugging wider.

"Mesmer, huh? Mental attacks, charm, bending people without lifting a finger… what's better than being untouchable? Easy — not even needing to fight while collecting women along the way. Now that's a win."

With a smooth flick, Seven tapped the Mesmer class, the selection lighting up softly under his touch.

Seven stretched his fingers lightly, eyes lazily drifting across the glowing board in front of him. His grin twitched wider as thoughts rolled smoothly through his head.

"If I'm being honest, most of these stats probably won't matter much for the whole battle advantage thing. I mean, let's face it — I'll probably only need Strength half the time, mostly because, well, it'll make my body look good. Women are definitely going to dig that. Agility sounds handy too — can't hurt to be quick on my feet."

His eyes slid toward the subclass list, a spark of amusement lighting up in his gaze as he skimmed through the names.

"My DnD session friends would totally smack me for this, but honestly? The best stat for me is Charisma, no question. Agility's a solid second. So… I need a subclass that leans hard on Charisma as its main stat."

He flicked his finger across the interface, his grin sharpening the moment one name lit up under his touch.

"Alright then… I'm going with Charmbinder."

Seven crossed his arms, head tilted slightly as his eyes skimmed the glowing screen in front of him.

"The choice is between two Active and Passive skills. Not gonna lie, I'm not surprised they're kinda underwhelming — they're just beginner skills, after all. So really, anything will work here. I'm picking Honeyed Aura. Passive skills are always the smart move — they're running in the background and don't burn up mana."

[Be aware: this skill does not boost your overall persuasion success. It only increases your current persuasion effectiveness by 10%.]

"Yeah, yeah. Already figured that out."

[Preparation complete. You will now be transported to the city of Fortiniro.]

Light wrapped around Seven, glowing brighter and brighter until it washed out everything.

One second, he was standing there tapping a floating screen; the next, the world just slipped away. No wind, no spinning, no falling — just a weird, smooth pull, like the universe quietly hit the transport button.

Then sound hit his ears.

Voices. Shouts. Footsteps.

Seven opened his eyes, blinking against the sudden glare.

He was in the middle of a giant city center, sunlight beating down hard from above, the streets stretching wide in every direction.

Massive stone buildings rose all around, arches, towers, busy roads lined with people moving in every direction. Carts rattled by, merchants called out, conversations blended into one huge, bustling noise.

And right there, scattered across the square, were the new players.

Seven glanced around, watching them. Some stood frozen, eyes huge, faces pale like they couldn't even breathe. A few collapsed to the ground, hands shaking, overwhelmed by everything slamming into their senses at once.

Others spun around wildly, panicked voices bubbling out as they tried to make sense of what just happened.

Seven let out a slow breath, rolling his shoulders back as a small grin tugged at the corner of his mouth.

He stood calmly, hands loose at his sides, just watching. Compared to the chaos spinning all around him, he might as well have been standing in a quiet park.

Seven let out a slow breath. Sure, being yanked into this world without warning had hit him hard — the dizzy pull, the sudden drop into a place he didn't choose, it left his head buzzing and his body feeling a little too light, like his feet weren't fully grounded yet.

But here was the thing.

While the others around him stumbled, panicked, and looked like they had no clue where to turn, Seven knew he wasn't standing on equal ground.

A goddess herself had handed him a skill so broken it practically rewrote the rules — invincibility handed over with a grin.

His eyes slid across the square, taking in the people moving through the city. Locals — the real inhabitants — moved with easy rhythm, weaving through streets they knew like the back of their hands

But what really caught his eye were the players — not the fresh ones gasping and trembling like newborns, but the veterans.

These weren't newbies. They were the ones who'd been here too long, who had clawed their way deep into the dungeon again and again.

It showed in the way they moved, in the heavy gear strapped across their backs, in the cool, practiced glances they threw across the square. These were players who had bled, survived, and kept going.

Seven stretched out his fingers, flexing them slowly before snapping his knuckles, a grin tugging sharp at the corners of his mouth.

"Guess it's time to crush this dungeon and turn it into my personal playground."
