From betrayal to billionaire. From ghosted to god-tier.
Damon Black was just another broken teen—abandoned, cheated on, drowning in debt and trauma. Then came the Check-In System. Each day he checked in, it gave him more: cash, skills, power, influence. Money multiplied. Beauty refined. Strength soared. And the world began to shift beneath his feet.
Now Damon is no longer a forgotten nobody. He’s Phantom—a masked legend ruling the underworld and boardroom alike. A genius businessman. A feared enforcer. A supernatural force wrapped in charm, muscle, and mystery.
He has the cars. The empire. The women. The enemies. And a secret: vampires and werewolves run the world from the shadows. But Damon? He’s something more. Something evolved.
As rivals fall and love interests multiply, Damon’s greatest war begins—not just for money or dominance, but to destroy the ancient Order hunting him and everyone he loves.
Power. Passion. Blood.
Check in. Level up. Take over.
the writing here is solid. in the first few chapters you help create a sense of relatability around Damon and the frequent updates are quite the upside. the main issue lies in the pacing. This novel moves fast, too fast to really let the reader get a proper grasp on things. There is always something happening and while that does help keep the reader engaged, it also prevents the reader from truly taking in the plot developments. take the first chapter for example. The system shows up and Damon just sighs and gets on with his day. I honestly think this could be really good if it just was a little slower. Overall it's a fun read, just needs some work in regards to pacing.
