Levi turned to her, his eyes fixed on hers. However, she continued to glare at him. Olivia gritted her teeth, fisting her hands as well.
"How dare you bring our issue to the public, how dare you?!" She gritted her teeth, but he scoffed.
"You didn't know you brought up my issue when you disgraced me in front of friends, and family did you?" He asked her, and when she couldn't answer his question, he immediately tried to make sense of everything that was going on to the audience.
He turned his gaze towards the crowd, pulling the mic closer.
"I know you all see Olivia as a strong independent, fulfilled businesswoman, but she's not who she seems to show you." He paused, and then took in a deep breath. "Underneath all this is a bitter self-centred cheater, and she doesn't deserve to stand before great people like you."
"So Olivia is--"
"I can't believe she would do such a thing. I mean we--"
"Is she really a cheater?"
So many murmurs were sent around, causing Olivia to gasp, and then growl, going to pull the mic away from him, but he moved away from her, causing her to lose her balance. Luckily, she didn't fall, but that was able to get people's attention.
"He's only saying this because he's a nobody. He's poor and wretched, expecting me to stay with him so he can benefit from a special girl like me. That's what you all don't understand…"
"Well correction…" He paused and then shook his head. "I was poor but not any more, so it's wrong to classify me as such."
She eyed him from head to toe, crossing her arms after laughing so hard she crouched down, standing up to her feet again.
"And you expect me to believe that?" She asked, and there was no response. Levi didn't have time to respond to a person like her. He was going to take action instead.
"I demand to speak to the owner of this place, now…"
However, her laugh echoed again. "The owner, not even the manager, are you kidding me?" She shook her head.
"Have you borrowed another amount to impress me? Because you never seem to amaze me. You are always this way."
Her words shot out like bullets, but what she failed to understand was that all these had already been arranged yesterday.
The owner quickly ran up to the stage, and then greeted Levi which shocked everyone except Olivia.
"Okay, okay, enough. How much did you pay him for the act, huh?' she asked, but when Levi didn't respond to her, she kept shut.
"How much for the place?" He asked, and the owner's eyes widened.
Levi had told the owner to be at the event, but the owner didn't expect Levi was going to buy the place.
"10 million dollars…" He expressed, and Olivia scoffed.
"10 mil? And you can't even afford a 100k debt you're owing. Come on, stop this act right now, and just admit you were wrong about--"
"I'll make it to 15…" He expressed, pulling out his phone, and making the transfer to the man after which Olivia's eyes widened.
As soon as that was done, he turned towards Olivia. "I want you to leave here, right now…" She got confused, eyes darting between the owner, and Levi.
"What?"
He nodded. "You heard me. Leave here now before I do something crazy. I know you know what I'm talking about. I can guess you know…"
"Levi, I am not leaving here. This is my launch party and--"
He interrupted her words. "Security!!!"
In no time, some hefty men came out, and pulled her towards the exit of the building, screaming and kicking.
As soon as that was over, Levi also used the exit, leaving the crowd in confusion. All he knew was that Olivia wasn't permitted to go in.
The moment he stepped out, she charged towards him, attempting to slap him, but he caught her hands midair, clocking his tongue.
"You do not want to do that. I would have you know that I am no ordinary man Olivia. The man you humiliated and rejected is Monroe's heir. You better deal with it!" He expressed, pushing her hands away before entering the car which had already been open for him.
'Indeed revenge is sweet' He thought, as he rested his back on the car's headrest.
"How was the party boss?" Griffin asked, making Levi exhaled through his nostrils as his chest paced along gently.
"The best one yet…"
That night he had one of the best rest of his life. Knowing that he had turned her into nothing was calming enough to give her peace of mind.
He groaned, twirling on his bed as he heard his phone vibrate for a few seconds. Wondering who had reached out, he stretched his hands, trying to look for his phone with his eyes closed.
Finally getting the phone, he opened his eyes, still slightly squinting them. However, his eyes widened when he noticed the message was from Ruth.
"Hey Levi. Do you think we can meet up today? There's something important I'd like us to discuss. We can meet for coffee at Tiffany's cafe at noon…"
He read, and then nodded. "Hmm sure…" He typed. "I'll be right there." He responded, sighing.
The rest of the day was occupied with him talking about various things with Griffin before it was finally time.
He arrived at the cafe dressed modestly, his eyes scanning the place until he saw Ruth. His eyes lit up, and he smirked, walking over to his table like his usual goofy self. However, calling her attention made him realize something was wrong.
Her facial expression was fitted in a frown, and she gestured for him to sit without saying a word to him.
"Ruth, what's wrong? You seem --"
"Why didn't you tell me?" She threw a question that threw him off guard. His brows arched, and he squinted his eyes, and tilted his head.
"Why didn't you tell me you were rich all along? You were lying to me."
Levi's eyes widened, and his heart felt touched.
"No, no it's not what you think, --"
"RUTH!" A hard tone called, pulling her hand. She was dragged, and held tightly against her own wish.
"Bruce, what are you--"
"Shut up, you're coming with me!" He didn't even give her time to talk, and began pulling her away. However, Levi wasn't having it. He stood up from the table, and tried to talk with Bruce, but Bruce gave him a cold glare.
"Stay away from us, or you're going to regret it."
