Victory? Getting Tricked and killed!

Justin stared at the one who attacked him, knowing the best tactic would be a sneak attack

It was another baldy, but not a monk this time. Rather than wearing a robe, he had full armor, shielding his body.

Justin couldn't fly on his own yet, but the space law allowed him to teleport as he wished.

He held the space cleaver, lighting it with his flames and lightning.

His action piqued the interest of the enemy, he exclaimed, "Oh, a good seedling!"

Justin grinned, ignoring the comment, knowing he was much better.

He struck the ground with his feet, taking a step forward. He vanished, making them extremely wary.

They couldn't sense him with their spirits as if his existence was erased, then their instincts kicked in.

"Shatter, Oblivion's Edge!" Justin's shout came from behind, like a raging alarm.

They hurriedly turned around, each casting their defense.

However, the combination was devastating.

Shatter allowed the attack to pass through their Qi shields, striking them directly.

They diverted their attention to Justin, ignoring Alex.

He was nothing more than an ant in their eyes, but the fact that he managed to severely damage them elevated his status.

Still not much, just a rat rather than an ant, believing he was mostly harmless.

"Incredible! But alas, we must kill you now!" The western man spoke, impressed with Justin's strength.

Alex grinned, hearing his words. The idiot was far in the back, leaving himself completely exposed to danger.

'Boy, distract them and I shall take care of this fool!' He used his telepathy, his voice ringing in Justin's ear.

"You? Shameless!" Justin sneered, playing along.

He pointed his sword forward, aiming at the speaker.

Then he cast his Void Fang, sending a Qi torrent at the enemy.

The enemy was about to respond, only for the painful scream to echo across the sky.

Elder Alex stood behind the western man, his hand piercing through his chest.

The man's heart could be seen in his hand momentarily before getting ruthlessly crushed.

The rest were not happy, their faces turned grim.

"He's still alive!" Justin shouted, bringing their attention to him.

Neither he nor Alex could see spirits, allowing the man an attempt to escape.

If not for the system notification, Justin wouldn't have noticed it.

However, the escape ended up in failure as Dandurff and Sigurd appeared, both extremely pissed.

"You cause a mess, then try to escape, how wonderful!" Dandurff's voice rang, his right hand clenched around something invisible.

He continued, "Leave one arm each, and this can be forgotten, or you can fight to the death."

Their faces turned even grimmer, feeling offended by the insult.

They knew Dandurff wouldn't go back on his words, given that he was an Immortal.

However, doing so was only going to hurt their pride and dignity.

Still, it was better than a losing fight.

Two of them were not combatants, leaving them in a four-to-three situation.

Much worse, Justin was able to bypass their senses completely, making it nearly impossible to counter.

One after another began tearing their arms casually with no care whatsoever.

"Wise decision, isn't it?!" Dandurff grinned, throwing the man's spirit into the air before clenching his hand.

[Congrats, you've gained 3,000 Chaos Charges and 5,000 Experience for David's death!]

[Congrats, your actions killed an early Spirit Manifestation cultivator. 10x Spirit Onyxes were added to your inventory!]

"You went back on—" One of them howled as the notification appeared before Justin.

Meanwhile, Sigurd cut the speaker off, lamenting their idiocy.

"Heh heh heh. If you did what he asked without complaining, then you should accept the outcome equally."

Sigurd laughed, pulling out his sword.

He looked at the six, considering them nothing but cheap cowards.

Forget about being Immortals, he believed that bending their knees made them nothing but ants.

"You are making a grave mistake, the rest won't stay still!" Another one shouted, clearly bluffing.

Everyone present was not stupid, they knew that Immortals were very rare on this continent.

"Be my guest and let them come!" Having been given a nice reward, Justin responded.

He charged at the bald man, swinging the sword and casting Oblivion's Edge again.

"Curse you!" Baldy screamed, feeling the devastating effects of the attack.

He could no longer defend himself and ended up flying down, crashing amid the rubble of the sect.

"This is for my pain!" Justin shouted, appearing beside the man.

He swung his sword, tearing the man's arm.

"This is for the damage you caused." He struck the sword down, cutting off the man's lower half.

"And this is for our lost disciples!" He stepped forward, driving the sword into the man's throat.

Grinding his sword against the ground, Justin cut the immortal's remains in half before breathing a sigh of relief.

He didn't care about the disciples that much, but their deaths meant fewer tournament participants.

While it ended up benefiting him, it was a short-term profit.

His victim didn't even try escaping, giving up to his fate.

[Congrats, you've gained 5,000 Chaos Charges and 7,000 Experience for David's death!]

[Congrats, your actions killed a mid Spirit Manifestation cultivator. 15x Spirit Onyxes were added to your inventory!]

Once his victim was dealt with, the rest began dying one after another.

The rewards were great, but he collapsed to the ground, acting weary and tired.

*Nom nom nom*

He pulled a few healing pills from the spirit rings he had before throwing them in his mouth.

His health began to improve rapidly as the elders were done with their fight.

They looked fine, but deep down, they were still angry. It was a victory, but it didn't fix anything at all.

The sect needed repairs, the tournament was delayed, and at least a hundred died, if not more.

Jutsin rubbed his hair, quickly making a suggestion.

"How about we upgrade while we are at it?"

He retrieved two spirit diamonds and a hundred crystals from his inventory.

"Will those suffice?"

His question made it feel like he was prepared, but the amount provided was quite enough.

Dandurff ignored him, completely unfazed. Sigurd nodded his head in approval, and Alex shrugged his shoulders.

He retrieved one of his empty spirit rings, then threw everything inside before handing it over to Sigurd.

"Sigurd will get the architects, Alex will check on the disciples, and I will return to the core zone."

"What about me?" Hearing Dandurff's words, Justin spoke, feeling left out.

"Come with me to the core zone, the rest of the elders are there."

Dandurff responded, believing Justin had enough pills to heal them.

He couldn't request him to do the same with the disciples since their numbers were much higher.

He believed Justin could handle that as well, but refused due to the massive debt they owed him.

Alex and Sigurd disappeared, each heading to their tasks, then Justin and Dandarff headed to the core zone.

Fortunately, the side it was on didn't suffer as much damage, keeping it hidden.
