Chapter 49 Accident

Bella wanted to stop, but others didn't want to give up.

The tree wants to be quiet but the wind does not stop. Sometimes you can't stop playing just because you say you don't want to.

The pension lawsuit ended. Natasha went back to the prosperous town to go to school. She had to receive two more years of happy education as a sophomore in high school. Bella followed the compensation case of Flight 180 for two days.

In the pension case, she got a little bit of compensation. If she didn't get any, it would be too uncapitalist. Apart from other things, Miss Hogarth's lawyer fees had to be paid by her. Several old people gave some cash, plus those bearer checks, deducting various expenses, and she had less than five thousand dollars left in her hand.

She and the beautiful Natasha shared the spoils, and each of them took two thousand dollars.

This amount of money was really not easy to spend. After eating, drinking, and shopping, there was basically not much left. Bella was more concerned about the flight compensation, which was the big deal.

After another day of trial, she went to the convenience store to buy a lot of food. According to Natasha's experience, if you want to eat something, you need to supplement a lot of nutrition, so she bought a lot of food.

When she was checking out, a slightly fat middle-aged man suddenly jumped out from behind the shelf. He held a pistol in his hand and pointed the gun at Bella.

"Remember me? Miss Swan! Why don't you smile? Weren't you smiling happily before?" The defendant's client, who was like a clown in the pension case, was now full of murderous intent, his hand holding the gun trembled slightly, and he stared at Bella.

Damn it! Bella really hated the phenomenon of the proliferation of guns. How could any cat or dog take out a gun?

The two sides were five meters apart. She burst out with all her strength and could dodge before the other party pulled the trigger. This kind of pistol could not hurt her. But the current environment is not right. In front of her is a middle-aged male cashier with a little stubble, and behind her are two female customers waiting to pay. There is really not much space to hide.

"Calm down, calm down. This is a matter between us. We can solve it by ourselves. Let the irrelevant people leave first." Bella's obsession technique is completely ineffective against hostile targets. She can only use words to persuade the other party and clear the people around first.

Some fat middle-aged people laughed, and their smiles were so desolate: "Do you think I will let you go? I was fired, the bank took away my house and car, and my wife and children left me. I am so unfortunate, why don't I take a few more people with me? Huh? Don't move!!! I will kill anyone who moves!"

Just as his expression became more and more ferocious, several big men in black rushed in from the main entrance of the convenience store, led by a fat man.

"Mr. Todd! Stark Industries will pay you enough severance pay! Please calm down and put down your gun!" The fat man in the lead said loudly, and the few people behind him were in a semi-encirclement state, as if ready to pounce on the middle-aged man named Todd.

"Everyone, step back! Mr. Happy Hogan, I have paid so much for the company, but what is waiting for me? Laughing! Cold insults and dismissal! What did I do wrong?!"

You have lost the company's face, and you still say you did nothing wrong?

At this stage, Obaday and Tony Stark are still close uncle and nephew. As Tony Stark's confidant, the fat bodyguard Happy Hogan and a senior executive of the group were assigned to handle the matter in Phoenix.

The overt work, such as explaining the whole thing to the media, and distributing pensions to the elderly, are all done by the senior executives of the headquarters, while the fat bodyguard is responsible for some shady things, and kicking this guy out is one of them. Unexpectedly, after all the calculations, something went wrong.

The fat bodyguard is really not a good negotiating material, and he can only keep calming the other party.

The middle-aged man named Todd could no longer suppress his dissatisfaction. Money, honor and fame had all left him. What else was there to worry about? He gritted his teeth and fired three shots in the direction of Bella!

Bella didn't care about shocking the world. She pushed down the two female customers on the side with her left hand, then stared at the trajectory with her eyes carefully. Her lower body did not move, and her upper body turned sideways, twisted her waist, and leaned back with a very small amplitude. She dodged repeatedly. Three bullets grazed her afterimage and hit the middle-aged cashier with stubble behind her.

  Bella Σ(⊙▽⊙)!

She was very surprised. She had adjusted Todd's shooting angle by talking and standing position before. Theoretically, there should be no one behind her at this time!

Wasn't the guy who was shot on her right before? She reached out to push him, but she pushed in vain. What was this guy doing behind her?

"Bang, bang, bang, bang." A burst of gun fire rang out, and the bodyguards of Stark Industries opened fire one after another, killing the hateful and pitiful Todd directly.

The fat bodyguard Happy obviously knew who Bella was, but his attention was on Todd before, and he didn't see her quickly dodging the bullets. At this time, he rushed to her in a flash, as if he was worried about her safety. The remaining bodyguards evacuated the panicked crowd, and one of them was on the phone to contact the company's legal department.

"Hurry up and save him! There is an innocent person, an innocent person, huh? Where is he?" Bella pushed away the protection of the fat bodyguards, wanting them to treat the middle-aged cashier who had just been shot, but when she turned around, she found that there was only a pool of blood on the ground, and a living person disappeared.

What the hell? Are Americans so strong? He was shot three times and still managed to escape in the chaos?

This guy obviously has a secret! Any random passerby has secrets, and she really didn't know what to say,

"Ms. Swan, we think there should be some misunderstandings here, Stark Industries..." The fat bodyguard racked his brains, as if thinking about how to convince her not to pursue the matter.

Bella was also a little irritated. Her original intention was not to hurt anyone, and she never thought of hurting anyone.

But the series of experiences of Todd were inseparable from her, and she didn't want to be portrayed as an anti-Stark fighter, so she said impatiently at this time.

"This is not a personal grudge. I can pretend that what happened today didn't happen, but what about the police station?"

The fat bodyguard repeatedly assured: "The police station will not have any problems, you can leave now, by the way, this..."

He handed Bella a check, a bearer check for fifty thousand dollars.

Bella took the check, looked at it from front to back, and said with a somewhat disappointed tone: "Is this the severance pay you are going to give to Mr. Todd? Now you are using it to shut me up? Forget it, this little money is of no use to me, and it won't make me rich. If you don't know what to do with it, then leave it to Mr. Todd's family."

She returned the check to the fat bodyguard, left fifty dollars at the cashier, then picked up her bag and a pile of food, sighed, and turned to leave the convenience store.
