His relationship with Bisi continued its comfortable, ambiguous progression. They were a regular sight together on campus, studying in the library, grabbing quick meals, the connection deepening.

He withdrew the MH funds using his normal channels, contacted a dealer, negotiated a price of N48 million for a pristine black 2021 G550, and arranged for it to be shipped to Wuse II.

This wasn't a car for daily driving in Akure, yet. His mother could be driving it in his stead whenever he wasn't around.
