RECONCILIATION

Lord Micael had brought me breakfast earlier, he claimed the maids would not let him bring the food to his chambers by himself but he had to tell them he didn't want anyone in his room. I ate heartily while Lord Micael stared into thin air all the while. I guess my speedy recovery and the fact that I had lost a whole lot of blood contributed to my glutonic feeding.

I finally finished my meal and could no longer bear Lord Micael's pitiable face. He looked like he had seen a very traumatic thing and he was at the brink of shedding tears. I trailed my eyes along his physique and he just wasn't the confident, cheerful and always smiling Lord Micael. There was no doubt something was bothering him

“What could be bothering you?” I asked, concern lacing my tone. He shifted uncomfortably at my question and tried to feign ignorance

“Nothing is bothering me Vanessa, I am just worried about Gabbriel”
