Prometheus

A/N: We Back

The day after Thor had gone through his MANTIS surgery, and had to deal with Elysia and Vill pestering him to show his mutations to them, he made his way to the training dome, eager to test his theory.

Currently he stood in the centre of the newly reinforced dome, its walls etched with stronger runes and more fortified materials. Thor had his eyes closed as he made a movement that hadn't been made in the years he arrived in this world.

–POP–

Space folded inwards. Thor instantly appeared 10 meters away from his previous spot.

"I was right." The ends of his lips curled upwards into a relieved smile, 'I can control space again, but brute forcing it like this is costly.'

Due to his absurd increase in Honkai capacity he now held, easily eclipsing his previous amount many, many times over, add on Vishnu's ability to adapt, he easily managed to brute force his old space abilities into working.

Unlike when Aurora used her sword techniques and ended up destroying space, Thor was actively controlling space.

"I wonder." Holding out his palm, Thor makes a crushing motion,

–Crack–

The space before him cracked, 'I don't even need the rune for this.' The fissures sealed themselves slowly, far slower than when he first tested his crush rune.

–POP–

Antarctica -

Within the snowy storm, Thor's figure could be barely seen.

"A linear cost? That works for me." Unaffected by the storm, Thor realised that after the initial cost, the distance only increased linearly not exponentially.

–POP–

Back in the dome Thor had to stop himself from grinning like a child on Christmas. "But damn is it good to have that back."

A second later someone entered the dome.

–Shhhh–

"Thor?" Einstein called out, 'Mei said he was in here right?' She then spotted him off to the side looking ecstatic about something.

"Hmm?"

She pointed behind her with her thumb, "We're testing Prometheus's new casing today remember? You're late?"

He gave her a nod, taking a quick glance around the dome, before leaving with her.

–Shhhh–

"Did you find– You did." Alerted by the door opening, Mei glanced at Einstein walk in with Thor behind her, he gave her a cheeky smile that almost made her snap the pen in her hand.

Pushing down the thought to throw the pen at him, 'He'd just catch it anyway,' She signalled to Vill that they were ready.

Thor came up next to her and teased, "Aww, is Mei-chan mad at me for being late?" Mei didn't react.

Thor then pulled a bag of something from his inventory and put it down next to Mei, "Here, a little apology, take one and only one when you're with Kevin later, give him one as well."

Mei looked confused, moments later she blushed and glared at him.

"No need to thank me… You're welcome" Thor ignored her, promptly looking at the first's core within its new casing. 'Looks like the tesseract from Marvel, but orange.' His AI daughter definitely kept herself entertained in this world.

"Do you know what he gave her?" Einstein whispered to Vill.

"Yep, in fact I was the one who made it." Vill had indeed created them, specifically for them to take so they could last longer, but it did nothing, 'No regrets!' she fistpumped internally. While exhausted the next day, the pleasure was worth it.

Since Vill didn't say anything further, Einstein just dropped the topic.

As Mei, Thor and Einstein were before the first divine key, Thor analysed everything connecting the first key or Void Archives as Vill named it to Prometheus's data center.

Mei waved for Vill to begin the start up, in response Vill started to type on the keyboard, Void Archives hummed to life, glowing a more vibrant orange than before, the many displays flickered and current flowed through everything.

Mei immediately sat down to begin tracking the progress. Einstein and Vill following behind her.

"The connection was established… Prometheus integration at… 5%, 6%, that's good… Power and current is stable…" While the three worked to make sure everything was running smoothly Thor had a more, quiet discussion with AURORA.

"Intergrate yourself with that later, for now just sneak onboard and take control subtly. With what Mei did to Prometheus, there's bound to be issues." Thor saw AURORA nod and salute, "Remember, don't let yourself be known." With that AURORA vanished and Thor looked back to the three.

…

The rest of the process had gone smoothly, no hiccups, no errors, smooth sailing the whole way. "A tesseract was the best call, good job Vill," Mei resigned herself, and to think she thought just hooking up the exposed core would work.

Vill was stunned that Mei actually gave her a compliment, suspicious she eyed Mei for a second before shrugging it off. Einstein had collapsed back into her chair, exhausted from her all nighter yesterday.

She then felt two hands rest on her shoulders, tilting her head back she saw Thor, "Since I can't do much how about I help you out," He then began to massage her shoulders,

"Ahh~" She let out a relieved moan.

Mei decisively ignored it and Vill just smirked at her.

Einstein quickly covered her face with her hands in embarrassment as Thor continued to massage her shoulders uninterrupted.

…

Following Mei's suggestion, "We should get a new prediction for how many Herrschers we might face, I doubt nine is all it will be."

The four saw that it would take Prometheus days, maybe longer to give a more accurate prediction, "It should at least be better than before, back then it only took a few hours." Vill said pensively.

They all agreed and Einstein stood up, still a little red faced, "If that's done, I'll go and get some sleep, wake me only in an emergency please." 

Thor and Vill laughed lightly while Mei just nodded in understanding.

Soon after Thor and Vill left, Mei left with them after Thor baited her with a nice meal.

Prometheus was left alone to work on its prediction.

"The party? You want to move it up."

"Yes yes, for the 10th time."

"It's not that we're against the idea of Ellie, it's just that, if we were to hold the traditional party earlier this year, it might not look so good PR wise." Su rationalised. The rest of the group agreed with his notion.

"Who cares about some PR, the party is to keep morale up for the soldiers, not for something stupid." Himeko who had just walked in said, with Hua trailing behind her.

Like a viper, Elysia pounced on the opportunity, dragging Hime next to her, "See! Hime thinks it's a good idea! Don't you Hime?"

Himeko flinched, Elysia was giving her the puppy dog eyes.

The peanut gallery gave looks of pity for being on the receiving end of that attack.

"Y-yes." Stuttering out a response, Elysia spun and faced the rest with a victorious smile on her face.

"There." Elysia stated, as if it was meant to mean something.

"..."

"I don't have time for this, Klein! We've got work to do." Mobius got up and walked towards the door. A waste of time, and to think she missed some trials for this.

"Yes Dr." Klein followed behind, giving a bow to Elysia, for some reason, and left too.

As if setting off a chain reaction, the rest started to leave as well, whether the excuse was valid or not was unknown.

Just as Su and Mei got to the door, a pink wall appeared blocking their path.

"Mou~ Guys!" Pouting, Elysia skippered over to Thor and tried to bring him on her side.

"Thor darling, won't you help me?" Fluttering her eyelashes at him.

Giving a sigh Thor just looked at Mei who in turn realised what he wanted, "Tch, fine." Elysia cheered, while Mei left mumbling to herself about having no power as the new leader of Moth. Su and Kevin were amused by her action.

…

Hua pulled on Himeko's sleeve and asked. "Himeko. What is this party about?"

"It's as I said, to boost morale, it lets the soldiers forget the tragedies that have occurred and to help some of them relax." Thinking for a second she continued.

"Take Einstein and Klein for instance, you wouldn't know since you didn't care to know about the party, but the past few parties that were held, Thor convinced Mobius to let Klein have some time off so she could actually rest.

Last year I dragged Einstein with us to the party as that woman spends too much time locked up in her own lab." Hua, while concerned with the casualties that were still piling up from the 5ths eruption, she understood.

Hesitantly Hua asked, "Urm, Should I go to this party then?"

"Of course you can, haha, it might even help you relax a little." Hua looked confused, "You're too stiff sometimes." Himeko elaborated and walked out with a chuckle.

A/N:

And we are back with Volume 5. For this Volume I will be experimenting ALOT, especially with writing as I want to hit a point that I feel is my writing style in full before finishing the Previous Era next volume and going back to edit earlier chapters.

Anyway, Thor regained his control over space, and without needing to use runes for it, just brute forcing it, Prometheus is online, AURORA will be more like an observer making sure it doesn't go rouge, Mei created it after all. 

This Volume will have quite a bit of story to it, I'll be doing a few things here and there with my GGZ knowledge as I kinda got into its lore and story a while back, but it's to be seen if parts can even fit into this.
