Chapter 18: Echoes of Power

Jinsei stood beneath the waterfall outside Nova Tower, eyes closed, fists clenched. The energy from Renzo's encounter with the fractured beast still lingered in the world like an aftershock. He could feel it.

Kael watched from a distance. Jinsei had grown fast—his movements sharper, his focus deeper—but this was different. His Will was shifting… refining.

As the water crashed over him, Jinsei suddenly opened his eyes.

For a second, the flow of the water split around him—unbroken, untouched—before crashing down again.

Kael's eyes narrowed. "That wasn't Willforce alone…"

Later, Kael reviewed the footage. Jinsei had temporarily bent the physical world—something few could do at his age. Not even Renzo could yet.

He pulled up Zhen Kairo's archived records. The resemblance in style was uncanny.

"He's more like his uncle than I thought…"

Meanwhile, Maiya, frustrated from being left behind during Renzo's solo mission, pushed herself harder. She trained deep into the night, sparring with Kael's simulation dummies at triple speed.

Kael noticed her Will's responsiveness shifting too—faster reaction times, subtle flashes of predictive movement.

"These kids…" Kael murmured. "They're evolving faster than we ever did."
