Chapter 35 – Wrath of Skand

It all began with a sharp, echoing sound.

It was a slap—delivered by Draupadi across the face of the young master Tanisq.

Tanisq (furious):"You bitch! How dare you slap me? I'll show you what happens now!"

Enraged, Tanisq raised his hand to strike Draupadi in return. She instinctively shut her eyes, bracing for the hit.

But when she slowly opened them, she saw Skand standing before her.He had caught Tanisq's hand mid-air.

Skand (coldly furious):"How dare you raise your hand on my wife?"

And with that, Skand landed a powerful kick on Tanisq, sending him stumbling back.

Tanisq (furious):"Do you even know who I am?"

Skand (roaring):"Do you know who I am? I'm Skandgupta—owner of Krimsan!"

Tanisq (thinking, alarmed):"Krimsan... that's the same organization known for luxury royal clothing, perfumes, makeup, furniture...But my father is a senior minister at court. I won't be intimidated by this man."

Tanisq (defiant):"I don't care who you are. You'll see what happens when I tell my father. You won't stay arrogant for long."

Tanisq ran away, his pride wounded and anger burning.

Skand (to Draupadi):"Are you alright? Did he hurt you?"

Draupadi (tearful):"I'm sorry, Skand. Because of me, you've offended a royal court minister."

Skand (holding her gently):"You have nothing to apologize for. If anyone dares trouble my family, I will not stay silent."

At Tanisq's House

Tanisq entered, groaning in pain.

Tanisq's Mother (worried):"My son! What happened? Why are you limping like this?"

They both sat down on the cot in the courtyard.

Tanisq:"Nothing, mother. Just some lunatics who dared disrespect me—even after knowing my father's position."

Tanisq told his mother everything.

Tanisq's Mother (furious):"How dare that girl behave like that with you? Does she not know who you are? Girls would kill to marry you!Let your father come home. I'll make sure that girl is taught a lesson she'll never forget."

Later, Tanisq's mother told everything to his father.

Tanisq's Father (calmly):"Your son deserved that slap."

Tanisq's Mother (shocked):"What? He's our only child, and this is what you say?"

Tanisq's Father (sternly):"And because he's our only child, you've spoiled him rotten. It's time he learned a lesson."

Tanisq's Mother (angrily):"If you can't even stand up for your family, then maybe we should just leave this house! I'll take Tanisq and go live with my brother. That would be better than this humiliation!"

She stormed out of the room.

Tanisq's father followed, trying to calm her down. Eventually, he relented.

Tanisq's Father (reluctantly):"Fine. Just this once. But it will be the last time.Now tell me—what are the names of the girl and the man involved?"

Tanisq's Mother:"Skandgupta and Draupadigupta."

The moment he heard the names, Tanisq's father went pale.

Tanisq's Father (shouting):"Are you out of your mind? Do you even know who he is?!"

Tanisq's Mother (confused):"Who? Just a regular businessman, isn't he?"

Tanisq's Father (trembling):"Regular? He's the one who brought down Dhanpala, one of the most powerful tycoons, using nothing but strategy.Skandgupta is the man who built an empire worth thousands of gold coins! And now he's about to marry the daughter of Suvana's second-most powerful businessman of Pataliputra!"

Tanisq's Father (firmly):"I want this entire matter to end—right now.We cannot afford to mess with people like them."
