He stood above the origin ocean, the vast expanse of the origin ocean now was somehow not that vast, as he used it to create the "primordials," a name he decided to call them.
Strangely they too subconsciously called themselves primordials as if the name was etched into their very essence.
Lex found himself in a challenging situation. He noticed that the amount of origin energy had dwindled less than it had been before, although it could replenish over a long period, he couldn't simply wait idly, as it felt like an agonizingly long process even though he was timeless.
"I need to take action," he resolved, looking thoughtfully into the depths of the Origin Ocean.
He originally tried to comprehend the mysteries of Origin energy, but even he, as the embodiment of universal will, found himself mired in its complexities.
It was akin to a young child struggling to grasp the concepts of calculus and advanced mathematics.
But after tens of thousands of years dedicated to relentless analysis, he managed to comprehend only the faintest glimmer of the mysteries of the origin energy.
However, even that slight insight would prove sufficient for the monumental task that lay ahead.
He sat crossed leg above the Origin Ocean, and drew drops of Origin Energy from the surface of the ocean.
The drops pulsated with powerful energy as he slowly suspended them in front of his body.
"What I need now are technical ways to harness this power and have adeeper mastery over it," he thought.
Though Lex was now too powerful, this power had come to him abruptly almost unearned, and although he could use it, it was hard for him to achieve the results he desired for.
He carefully held a single drop of Origin Energy above his palm, then easily dispersed it into countless tiny fragments.
In each of these fragments, he observed the fascinating processes of creation and destruction, witnessing the birth of galaxies, the formation of planets, and the evolution of star systems.
He observed for days but the more he observed the more he realized that it would be hard to fully understand its mysteries.
After three years he found that even his little comprehension he had about the origin energy was too little to do anything, so he decided to go into the depths of the origin ocean to better understand the mysteries and maybe see if he could find its source.
After descending for what felt like centuries, he arrived at the bottom of the ocean and here the shimmering and beautiful starry night-like surface of the ocean was nowhere to be seen and onlydarkness was ever present.
After quite some time in the darkness, he saw a light at the distance. He immediately moved closer to the source of light, when he was a few meters away from it, he scanned the surroundings and found out that it wasn't just glowing anymore.
The source started to take shape, revealing something far more complex and beautiful.
It was like looking at the core blueprint of how the universe worked, a map of everything that existed, broken down into its smallest pieces.
He could see laws from a different perspective from how he saw them previously.
The laws here felt alive than the laws he perceived previously, they were shifting and weaving. Threads of light and laws stretched in every direction, intertwining into a vast, radiant net.
Each thread anchored something essential: time, space, energy, matter—all bound together to sustain the cosmos.
He focused on one thread: the Law of Time. It didn't tick like a clock but flowed in spirals and waves, surging and slowing like a living current.
Next was the thread of Space. It twisted and folded upon itself, like parchment being crumpled and smoothed, endlessly reshaping the structure of reality.
Then, to his left, he glimpsed the thread of the Law of Energy. It shimmered with constant motion, birthing stars, sundering worlds, and kindling life in bursts no larger than sparks.
If a regular person looked at this, their mind would explode with this overwhelming knowledge.
They would suddenly see how everything fit together, why stars shine, why things decline, why life exists.
That kind of knowledge would transform them into something no longer human…something almost godlike, well that is if they survive this overwhelming knowledge.
What made all this possible was the crystal ball that floated calmly at the depths of the origin ocean.
Lex moved towards the crystal ball slowly and cautiously although he could feel the affinity that it had for the "will" he didn't let his guard down because he was not the will in essence but Lex a human.
The "Will" by its very nature was not meant to feel, it was not meant to desire, to wonder, or to dream.
It was supposed to be a machine of pure instinct, existing solely to maintain balance, incapable of interfering with the creatures of the universe.
Each being was meant to exist independently, their births shaped by the laws of evolution. Those who could not adapt would perish, while those who could would survive.
What happened to Lex was unprecedented.
He raised his hand slowly, his movements cautious as he reached out to touch the crystal ball.
The moment his fingers made contact, the crystal ball shrank rapidly, almost unnaturally, and shot into his head with overwhelming speed, fusing seamlessly with his mind and consciousness.
In an instant, he found himself enveloped in darkness, a dark void that seemed infinite, yet one he could navigate with ease, his consciousness unhindered by the absence of light.
He settled into a lotus position, his focus turning inward, sharp and unwavering. Within the depths of his mind, he saw the crystal ball, now suspended in the vast expanse of his consciousness(soul sea)
It throbbed faintly, releasing fragments of fundamental laws, scattering them like shards oflight, just as it had done before.
The crystal ball all of a sudden vibrated and itproduced a blinding light in the process. Lex found knowledge about the crystal ball in his mind.
The crystal ball was a treasure outside the universe and as it was drifting in the void between universes it accidentally found itself merging with a newborn universe.
The reason why Lex could become the will of the universe was because of its influence as it facilitated his act of possession.
In most universes, the accumulation of originenergy takes an agonizingly long time.
The process involves countless cycles of cosmic destruction and rebirth with stars collapsing, realms shattering, and fragments of reality merging, just to condense tiny amounts of this energy.
Origin energy isn't just rare; it's elusive, a culmination of the universe's deepest mysteries and limitless potential.
His possession of such a concentrated amount of Origin Energy defied natural order but now he knew the culprit behind it "The crystal ball".
The crystal ball also possessed two extraordinary innate abilities the first one was: Cost Reduction and the second was infinite Understanding.
Cost Reduction enabled its wielder to minimize the resources or effort required to create or accomplish anything that requires energy, though itseffectiveness was bound to the user's strength.
A weaker individual could only make small adjustments while someone more powerful could defy even the harshest limits of reality.
Infinite Understanding on the other hand amplified the user's capacity for comprehension of obscureknowledge and calculation to unparalleled heights.
It allowed one to unravel the mysteries of existence from the simplest mechanisms to the most complex universal laws.
But, this ability, too was tethered to the user'sstrength growing as their power evolved.
Lex held the crystal ball in his hand its power thrummed through him resonating with the core of his being.
To any other being, the abilities it granted might seem like a cheat. But to Lex, they were tools a means to an end because his starting position is the end of 99 percent of all creatures bound to a universe.
"Cost Reduction…" he murmured, his gaze fixed on the shimmering crystal orb. The concept was simple almost rudimentary in its definition yet its implications were profound.
With this ability, he could accelerate his creation, bypassing the agonizingly slow cycles of destruction and rebirth that shaped Origin Energy Its reliance on the wielder's strength felt like mockery to him.
His fingers tightened slightly around the crystal ball. "Infinite Understanding," he murmured again. The second ability, this ability awakened something deeper within him.
It gave him the ability to master all the laws of the universe and even go further. The mysteries he had failed to grasp when he was analyzing Origin Energy now would be easily understood by him although not that much but it did lower the difficulty of analyzing.
