Chapter 117: Clash of Fates — Tang San's Desperate Escape
Tang San slashed out with his sword, and the scarlet sword light tore through the sky.
His expression was ice-cold and murderous, a terrifying pressure sweeping out in all directions.
"Bang!"
The sword light landed heavily on Di Tian's dragon back. A deep, bone-deep gash appeared, blood spraying into the air.
"Puff! Puff!"
Even though Di Tian's scales were tough, the Shura Demon Sword was a divine weapon. The chasm between a god and a demigod was simply insurmountable.
With just one strike, Di Tian suffered a severe wound. He reverted to human form, his body drenched in blood.
"Even if I die, I will never reveal that rabbit's whereabouts!"
Di Tian roared wildly, defiant to the end.
Tang San sneered. His scarlet eyes burned with madness as he walked forward, dragging the Shura Demon Sword.
"Then I'll kill all the soul beasts. Eventually, I'll find Xiao Wu."
He raised his sword, ready to deliver the final blow.
Suddenly, a thunderous dragon roar tore through the skies.
Tang San's pupils contracted, and he turned toward the source of the sound.
A massive silver dragon surged through the clouds, a hundred meters long, covered in dazzling silver-white scales that shimmered in the sunlight.
"Roar!"
Hope reignited in Di Tian's eyes.
It was Gu Yuena—the Silver Dragon King and their soul beast clan's last hope.
A torrent of dragon breath erupted from her jaws, sweeping toward Tang San with terrifying force.
"You dare show yourself again?"
Tang San let out a twisted laugh. His eyes gleamed red like twin blood suns. With a flash of light, the Clear Sky Hammer appeared in his left hand, and he smashed it forward.
The wind howled as hammer and breath collided—an explosion rocked the air.
"Bang!"
Dust and shockwaves erupted, swallowing the battlefield.
Taking advantage of the distraction, Gu Yuena reverted to her human form, gritted her teeth against the pain, grabbed the wounded Di Tian, and retreated at full speed.
"Trying to flee? Not that easy!"
Tang San growled and bolted after them, closing the distance in an instant.
But just as he was about to catch up, his body stiffened midair. A sense of fatal danger surged in his heart.
A beam of pure white light flashed toward him like a divine spear.
"Boom!"
It struck his back with brutal force.
"Crack!"
The sound of shattering bones echoed as blood seeped from his torn chest. Before he could recover, a giant hand slammed into him with overwhelming force.
"Bang!"
Tang San was hurled through the sky like a cannonball, crashing into a distant mountain range and kicking up clouds of dust.
From the ruins, he struggled to rise. Blood covered his body, his face pale as paper, his eyes disoriented.
"Cough… cough!"
He spat out mouthfuls of blood, his fury boiling over.
"Qin Chuan!"
He roared at the heavens.
Hovering above, Qin Chuan appeared like a god of judgment, eyes cold and filled with murderous intent.
Tang San gritted his teeth, the enmity between them needing no words.
"Boom!"
With a stomp, Tang San shattered the earth beneath him and shot forward like a blur. In the blink of an eye, he crossed a hundred feet, the Shura Demon Sword slashing toward Qin Chuan.
"Swish!"
The sword energy screamed through the air like a reaper's cry.
"Hmph."
Qin Chuan snorted, his gaze brimming with disdain.
"Seeking death."
He raised the Holy Spirit Sword and slashed.
"Buzz…"
A wave of holy light surged out, colliding with Tang San's sword energy. The clash shook the heavens.
Tang San was flung backward violently, tumbling through the air before crashing into the ground.
Wounded, exhausted from his rampage in the Star Dou Great Forest, he barely managed to stand—
Only to see Qin Chuan's sword descending like a mountain.
"Die!"
Qin Chuan's voice was calm, yet final.
"Whoosh!"
The blade split the wind with terrifying force. Tang San had no time to dodge.
His eyes remained defiant and filled with hate—but before the strike could land, a blood-colored vortex appeared behind him.
"Huh?"
Qin Chuan narrowed his eyes. His sword did not stop.
"Bang!"
The vortex exploded as Tang San was sucked into it. A violent shockwave rippled outward.
"Boom!"
A gory arm flew out from the explosion, but Tang San was gone.
Qin Chuan's face darkened.
"The Shura God… again."
He had intervened and pulled Tang San into the God Realm.
Though Tang San had lost an arm, regeneration at their level was trivial.
"Lord Human King…"
Gu Yuena, in human form, supported Di Tian and approached slowly.
When she realized Tang San was near, she had immediately turned back.
Qin Chuan, predicting Tang San's madness, had rushed to the Star Dou Great Forest. He arrived just in time to save Di Tian from a fatal blow.
He raised his hand, signaling them not to speak.
Tang San had escaped twice. And in his battle of wits with the Shura God, Qin Chuan realized the limitations of individual strength.
In the God Realm, he would face not only the old Shura God and Tang San, but potentially other hostile gods.
He needed allies.
With a cold gaze, he turned to the sky.
"It's time to prepare."
Tearing open the void, Qin Chuan stepped in and vanished.
Gu Yuena and Di Tian looked at each other, sighing deeply.
They had failed to cling tightly to their greatest support—and could only struggle to survive the coming war between the Human King and the God Realm.
