## Chapter 214: The Stone Tablet
Kaiba was very proud of KaibaCorp's technological capabilities. After all, the most outstanding aspect of KaibaCorp, which had withdrawn from the arms industry and transformed into an all-around dominant enterprise, was its Research Department.
Especially since Kaiba himself held the position of Head of Research Department, and at least half of KaibaCorp's new technologies were thanks to Kaiba. Praising KaibaCorp's technology was practically the same as praising Kaiba himself.
Looking at the smug Kaiba, Hayato felt it wouldn't be out of place if he raised his arm and shouted, "KaibaCorp's scientific technology is the best in the world!"
However, upon entering the Exhibition Hall, Hayato looked at the artifacts placed around the Exhibition Hall and the decoration that perfectly matched the unique atmosphere created by the artifacts. He had to admit that KaibaCorp truly had some skill. Not only had they built such a tall building in a short time, but even the interior design had been considered so thoroughly.
Hayato even suspected that when the manga artist designed KaibaCorp's architectural level, they might have borrowed the concept of "China speed."
"The number of artifacts here is truly exaggerated," Yugi said, looking at the rare artifacts like sarcophagi, mummies, and stone tablets around them, unable to suppress his admiration. "But the ones that can be used for the Traveling Exhibition are probably only the artifacts that the Egyptian Government considers relatively less important, right? It's hard to imagine how many national treasures they actually have."
"On this point, Japan can't even think about comparing itself. In Asia, perhaps only the ancient countries of the East can compare. Japan doesn't even rank," Hayato said with a sigh. It was a pity that many artifacts from both ancient countries had been lost overseas for various reasons, especially from a certain Empire on which the Sun Never Sets, which, due to its global dominance back then, even built a British Museum where "if all the artifacts were returned, it would become empty."
"Hmph, just outdated junk."
Unlike Yugi and Hayato's thoughts, Kaiba had no interest in these precious treasures from the past. In fact, if Mokuba hadn't convinced him that holding a Traveling Exhibition could collect ticket fees, he probably wouldn't have agreed to KaibaCorp taking on the task of the Artifact Traveling Exhibition.
Looking disdainfully at the surrounding artifacts, Kaiba sneered at Hayato: "You're sighing over things like this? Hmph, you're nothing special either. If people are willing to pay money to see things like this, maybe next time I'll build a Kaiba Museum for displaying cutting-edge technology."
"I can pretty much guess what the Kaiba Museum you build will be like without even going. It'll definitely be filled with Blue-Eyes everywhere, right? We already experienced your unique aesthetic at Kaiba Land last time, Seto-san~" Hayato retorted. "A museum like yours, where kids would have nightmares at night, absolutely nobody would buy tickets for."
"Hmph!" Kaiba snorted coldly, not arguing with Hayato, and followed Ishizu. She had stopped in front of a certain artifact not far away, waiting for Yugi and the other two who were walking slowly behind.
"Kaiba's aesthetic sense is indeed somewhat different from ordinary people." At some point, the person walking beside Hayato had changed to Dark Yugi. Although the surroundings were all ancient Egyptian artifacts, they felt strangely familiar to him, so he had voluntarily switched with Yugi.
"See? Didn't I tell you?"
"Yes, if it were me, I would definitely choose a combination of gold and silver that looks more magnificent," Dark Yugi said, lifting the Millennium Puzzle hanging on his chest to show Hayato. "How about it? My suggestion to Aibo, making him change to a metal chain, looks good, right?"
Hayato gave Dark Yugi a meaningful look. In ancient Egyptian aesthetics, gold was flesh and silver is bone, but wasn't his application of that a bit outrageous? The Millennium Puzzle, being a solid gold block, was already ridiculously heavy, and he actually made Yugi replace the cotton rope with an iron chain? Wasn't he worried Yugi wasn't short enough already?
Oh~, I get it. This move, ah, this move is the Pharaoh making Yugi wear a gold block for eight years during his growth spurt to stunt his height so he can't find a girlfriend, then transforming himself to attract female fans. The reason behind it is heartwarming. You're something else, Pharaoh.
But on the surface, Hayato forced out a smile: "Really good, changing to an iron chain is really good."
Following Kaiba, the two walked over to the stone tablet where Ishizu was. However, they found that Kaiba, who had arrived moments before them, was now staring at the stone tablet with a heavy expression, questioning Ishizu: "Hey, woman, this stone tablet of yours, you didn't just pull it from some stone quarry to trick me, did you!"
Ishizu replied calmly: "No, this stone tablet was unearthed from ruins three thousand years ago, and what appears before you is precisely that stone tablet from back then, not a replica. The stone tablet has also been preserved very well; what you see is how the stone tablet looked when it was unearthed."
"In that case, would you like to explain to me why this stone tablet has Dark Magician and Blue-Eyes White Dragon on it?" Kaiba narrowed his eyes at Ishizu, pointing through the protective glass at a spot on the stone tablet. "Also, who are those two people on the stone tablet!"
Following the direction Kaiba pointed, Hayato and Yugi also began to carefully examine everything depicted on the stone tablet.
However, after just a few glances, Yugi also had a shocked expression: "This is actually, Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Dark Magician!?"
Seriously, your ability to imagine things is too outrageous, isn't it? Hayato thought to himself, looking at the patterns on the stone tablet, which weren't much better than abstract paintings by kindergarten children. Out of all the content, the only things he could distinguish were the Millennium Puzzle and the Dark Magician.
Leaving other things aside for now, Hayato felt the most outrageous was this Blue-Eyes White Dragon. It wasn't surprising that Kaiba, this guy, had already engraved the shape of his 'wife' into his DNA and could recognize it at a glance, but how could Yugi recognize it at a glance too! It looked completely different from the card art!
And the Three Egyptian God Cards: Obelisk the Tormentor, who looks like a Minotaur; Slifer the Sky Dragon, a little dinosaur who turns its head upon hearing the Minotaur's scream; and The Winged Dragon of Ra, a griffon with a pigeon head.
Seeing the Three Egyptian God Cards, Hayato couldn't help but feel genuine admiration for Pegasus, who was recuperating thousands of miles away. To be able to draw such underwhelming Three Egyptian God Cards so majestically, it wasn't without reason that Pegasus's original dream was to be a painter, because his talent was truly amazing. It must have been hard work for him to do the post-processing for the lazy person responsible for carving the stone tablet in ancient Egypt.
As for the two people confronting each other at the bottom of the stone tablet, although there were slight differences from their appearance in the anime, Hayato, who identifies people by their hairstyles, could tell at a glance that these two, putting everything else aside, had the exact same hairstyles as Yugi and Kaiba.
Especially Yugi; Kaiba's hair could barely be considered normal, but Yugi's colorful starfish head was truly one in a hundred thousand, and even if you found someone similar, they would probably be related to Yugi by blood.
