I am New Here (5)

"Welcome to Arzemuxe Elite Academy."

A black armored Mercedes-Maybach S600 went inside the gates of the academy. It stopped near the registrar's office. Ashii, dressed in a black uniform, got out of the car. Her eyes fell on the building in front of her.

Her long black hair and purple eyes attracted the attention of many. Purple eyes were very rare, and it was the first time they had seen someone with natural purple eyes.

"Is she the transfer student?"

"I heard from my cousin that she was expelled from three prestigious schools in the country."

"Why is she here? She's not even welcome in the schools of the Imperial Capital!"

"How did you know?"

"I have lots of sources."

"Me, too!"

"I heard the same!"

"She must have committed crimes there."

"I think so, too!"

Ashii was silent as she found her way to gather her schedule. She was already familiar with the map of the entire school, and there was no way she would be lost.

The view of the school was spectacular. Tall pine trees were planted evenly on the ground. Several plants were also blooming with flowers. But the air smelled different, which made her feel a little uncomfortable.

Wherever she went, the crowd would gossip about her.

But before she could enter the registrar's office, a group of girls stopped her. One of them was holding a glass of milk, while the other girl looked like holding a bowl of flour. Five people, dressed in weird clothes, laughed in front of her, like typical bullies and delinquents. There was a mocking smile on the face of the girl in the C position.

Did they plan to use milk and flour to humiliate me on the first day?

"Look at you! Who cares if you have money at home? You don't belong here, so leave while I ask you politely."

"That's right! A little bitch like you has no place in this school!"

"I said leave!"

"Bitch!"

"Did you hear the leader?"

"Bitch, leave!"

Ashii looked bored in front of them.

The girl holding the milk decided to make her move, as well as the girl holding the flour. But no one saw how Ashii bypassed the five of them and appeared exactly behind them. The milk and the flour were scattered on their uniforms, but Ashii was spotless. Ashii glanced at them and walked toward the registrar's room in silence.

"How could a mere human dodge them?"

"Shhh. Don't let them hear you!"

"She actually walked out of the mess unharmed!"

The leader of the group, Sophia Palma, was so mad that she kicked the nearest person beside her. The teenager flew and hit the wall. Cracks appeared on the wall, and everyone kept their mouth shut.

"Find what class that Bitch will enter and report to me her schedule!"

Sophia hated the fact that someone had made it out alive from her palms.

"I will make sure to make her life a living hell in this academy!"

Sophia was used to bullying her fellow students. She had been in this school for six years, like a person with no plans to graduate.

Ashii went inside the registrar's office and retrieved her schedule. She was not expecting that she would belong in the star section of the 1st year students. She was majoring in Biology and minoring in Political Science.

The morning classes were uneventful for her. The first day was full of getting-to-know-you activities. But no one caught her eye. Everything was normal.

When lunch came, she was alone. Most of the students here have been classmates since grade school, and they knew each other well. The butler prepared lunch for her, so she found a corner in the cafeteria and sat down. But something was off, the crowd started to whisper behind her back as they watched her intently, like a zoo animal.

What's up with them?

A guy suddenly sat opposite her seat.

She was dumbfounded to see her cousin, Drake. It has been a long time since they last saw each other at a family reunion. They also rarely communicated, but she didn't know he lived in this city.

She heard the whispers from the gathering crowd.

"Who told her to sit with the Prince?"

"Damn it! How thick is her skin? Doesn't she notice that the Prince was uncomfortable seeing another person in his regular seat?"

"I hope the Prince yells at her."

"I hope she gets humiliated!"

"Bitch!"

Drake smiled at Ashii, which shocked the crowd.

"Welcome home, Sister," he said with an amused tone.

"Do you find it entertaining, Brother?"

Drake chuckled, "You're still the same as before. I couldn't get much expression from your face. How was the transfer?"

"It was fine." Ashii sighed and stared at her food, "I just don't understand why I'm being treated as a zoo animal here..."

"You're nothing like them, and they're not used to having transferees. Most of the students here grew up in strict territorial environments, and they would not like a newcomer."

"Thankfully, you're here, Brother! Can I visit my aunt and uncle?"

"My parents are unfortunately out of town. They wanted to celebrate their wedding anniversary somewhere. But Cherina is at home."

"I'll bring her some desserts on the weekend."

"That's a good idea. She might need more comfort from the people around her at this moment. You should visit us often."

"You can also visit me. Dad bought a house for me in Verdana States."

"I'll bring Elena and Cherina with me when the time comes."

The crowd was shocked to see Ashii and Drake talking familiarly. They were not expecting them to be blood-related.

"How could Prince Drake talk to her like that?"

"Are you deaf? Prince Drake and that transferee student are blood relatives!"

"So, she came from a powerful family in the Imperial Capital?"

"I can't say the same. But she arrived in an expensive car earlier. There was also a picture of her entering the registrar's building."

"What race could she be?"

"Shhh. I heard she's human!"

"Purely?"

"I don't know, too."
