Private trainer (4)

After the academy was over, Dahlia didn't go home, but headed to Zen's office because Leo had finished revising the report she had made.

Yes, Dahlia knew that there were quite a lot of mistakes in the arrangement and writing, and realized that she wasn't good at making reports. Therefore, before she left, she sent the report she had made to Leo to be checked and revised.

"It seems like there's still a lot to investigate."

"That's right, Commander. We know that at night, the temperature will decrease, and so will the speed of atoms. Which means there are fewer fluctuations that can produce kinetic energy. However, Dimensional Cracks are actually easier to create."

"Have you asked why explorers or refugees are left there?"

"Not yet, but according to senior Izrail, they should have known that, and prohibited outsiders from entering, so it's possible that those people broke in, which caused the guards to increase their vigilance."

"And unable to pay attention to everyone who came. Hmm... If only we knew what that man looked like, maybe we could identify him."

"Commander, we've taken care of everything, but that doesn't mean it's over... We still don't know the exact cause."

"We might need to send some extra guards there. By the way, there's something I want to ask you."

"What is it?"

"About 2 hours ago, I received news that you were involved in some trouble."

"That's not true. I wasn't involved in any trouble."

"Then can you tell me what happened?"

4 hours earlier...

"Instructor, why did you call me?"

"I've been watching you for a month. Why can't you get serious in training?"

"I don't have an answer."

"Why?"

"Because besides your question being wrong, what you said was an accusation. I've always been serious in training."

"You're never enthusiastic!"

"I'm always energetic, it's just that I keep my energy up and use it sparingly. I have no reason to waste my energy. Besides, if you're asking why you're not energetic, shouldn't you direct it to the others?"

"The intensity of your training is only at the minimum standard."

"Because that's all I'm capable of, I have no intention of pushing myself and going over my limits."

When Dahlia started arguing with their trainer, some of the soldiers started to listen, and some even stopped training to watch.

When people started to pay attention to her, Dahlia felt a little nervous, but that didn't stop her from speaking her mind.

"Do you realize what you're saying?! People who don't have a strong just will only become a burden."

Dahlia didn't answer. Not because her feeling were hurt, but what the man said was wrong once again.

"Listen, I know you might not really like monotonous training. But you need to know, this kind of training will make you successful one day."

Dahlia didn't answer once again. That was because what the man said was not a question, and Dahlia herself also had no comments to respond to it.

However, Dahlia's silence was actually considered as indifference.

"Alright. If you don't like it, just leave!. Besides, this training is not mandatory, and someone forced you."

Dahlia's eyes widened slightly and her lips parted, but she didn't say anything. She looked at the others for a moment, before running away.

Right after Dahlia left the field, one of the silent ones finally spoke up.

"Wait, this training is not mandatory like when I was in D rank?, I just found out."

"Ah!, my head suddenly hurts. Someone, please take me to the medical room."

"Here, let me help."

"Instructor, I actually have insomnia, so I often feel weak. Can I rest for a while?"

"What are you guys actually talking about?!"

"I actually have another training idea, maybe I can try it."

"Oh my, I forgot to tell my parents in the village, I have to go."

"These people are looking for an excuse to escape from training. Instructor, you stay here, I'll bring them back."

"I'll help too. It's not fair-I mean justice and discipline must be upheld."

"Hey!, come back all of you!" The instructor shouted.

With that, almost half of the students left to do what they liked.

"As for that one... I don't know. I immediately took my bag and left at that time. But if the others have the same thoughts, that means the training given is not effective, right?"

"Are you saying that the system provided by Entropilia Technology is boring?"

"Honestly... Yes. Every day we do training in the same field. When will a C-rank soldier be allowed to try a combat simulation like Leo?"

"That's impossible. The reason soldiers ranked B and above are given a more advanced training system is because the stronger they are, the less effective the basic training you undergo becomes. Rather than that, shouldn't you think about what your future holds? I might be able to get them to give you a punishment as simple as writing an apology 100 times."

"The night feels a bit cold. Maybe because it's almost midnight. As a good soldier, I have to obey the rules, and go home immediately."

"Dahlia."

"I didn't do anything wrong."

"Alright, let's just see how they respond. But what about your training? If you were to go back, you might not get a good welcome from that instructor."

"I don't really care."

"Hah... It's like this, if you feel bored with training like that, I'm sure you have criteria for training that you want to go through. How about you try finding a personal trainer? You can get guidance without coercion."

"I had that thought too, but..."

After Dahlia left the field...

"Ah~, you're a C-rank soldier, huh? The training of a C-rank soldier is not much different from the training of a C-rank soldier. So, you came to find a mentor or something?"

"Yeah... that's it."

"Hey, you're a Supporter type, right?, are you interested in becoming a Medic type?"

"Medic type?. Hmm, I don't know..."

"If you're still hesitant, you can come with me and try it out first. It just so happens that I have a student that I'm training right now."

"Okay, I'll try to come along."

Without thinking, Dahlia followed the woman to a place. When she arrived, her hopes grow when she saw the neat and sterile room there, until the curtains were opened and revealed a girl lying on the bed.

Dahlia tilted her head when she saw the sight.

The girl on the bed was currently half-naked, her hands and feet were tied, and her mouth was gagged.

"Umm, sis, what about this girl?"

"She's had the flu for days. Even though ahe intended to be a Medic, she didn't take care of her health and got sick."

"Then what should we do?"

"It's easy. I'll pry her mouth open, and you give her the medicine I've prepared."

Dahlia observed the strange liquid in the bowl. Then when she noticed the girl on the bed, she was surprised to see how panicked the girl's expression was.

"Somehow I feel like something's not right here."

Dahlia glanced at the woman beside her whose smiling expression was in stark contrast to the girl on the bed.
