"The Return to the Familiar, A Journey Beyond the Ordinary"Part 15

That night, the sky was dark and the camp was quiet. While everyone was deep in sleep, Alan lay on the ground, surrendering to his exhaustion. As the fire flickered with a small flame in the corner, he was enveloped in tranquility.

But deep in his sleep, something strange happened. He suddenly felt as if he were being pulled to a distant place, surrounded by darkness that swallowed everything.

Then, in a fleeting moment, he found himself in another world... or rather, in his previous world.

Alan (surprised, looking around):

"Wait… am I back? Is this really… Earth?"

At the moment he realized he had returned to life as it was, he felt something strange. The place was so familiar, yet at the same time, it felt foreign. He was sitting in a place that resembled an old office in one of the corners. His unbalanced posture indicated he was in a work environment.

Suddenly, he began noticing the details: narrow hallways, cleaning supplies, and the sound of the vacuum cleaner beside him.

Alan (surprised):

"Wait a second... I was just a janitor here. This is all so normal."

The place had a routine feel to it, and he was laughing endlessly with his colleagues. They were constantly laughing at silly jokes and enjoying their time without thinking about the problems that might have been affecting the world at that time.

Alan (smiling gently):

"Man, I miss these days... when life was simple."

Then, suddenly, he felt something strange. He was sitting at the desk during a moment of rest, but there was a feeling that something wasn't right. Life seemed as it had been, but his heart was racing, as if something was slipping away from him at that moment.

Alan (confused):

"Wait… but this… this isn't my real life anymore. Is it?"

Before he could process the situation, he began falling into a massive void of darkness. The sound was deafening, and the scene around him became distorted. Suddenly, reality snapped back to him.

Alan (opening his eyes in the night):

"Was that a dream? I... I thought I was back."

He immediately woke up, feeling confused. His body was still in the tent, and the fire had gone out. As he caught his breath, he felt something odd.

Alan (smiling and laughing):

"Well, I guess I'm stuck with this life after all."

He looked up at the sky, surprised by what he felt. The dream had been strange indeed. But now, after regaining his reality, he felt something odd: even in his new world, life was filled with strange events and unexpected situations.

With the dawn of a new day, he took a deep breath, preparing to face whatever came next, despite everything.

——————————————————

As time passed, the night ended and the first light of dawn began to creep across the sky. While Alan was lost in deep sleep, he had no idea that the new day would be full of surprises, as it always was.

In an unexpected moment, Gargroth invaded his sleep, as he always did in a completely unusual manner.

Gargroth (in a loud voice):

"Wake up, human!"

But this time, his strength was too much. His massive body unintentionally pushed Alan, causing one of his ribs to break. Then, as Alan tried to stand, the harsh blow caused his other rib to break as well.

Alan (screaming in pain):

"Aaaahhh! My ribs! They're… they're shattered!"

Although his body began to heal rapidly due to his regenerative abilities, Alan was always dramatic. His screams intensified, thinking he was still suffering from the pain, even though his body had already started healing.

Alan (still screaming):

"No! It's too much! I can't take it anymore!"

Gargroth tried to calm him down, but he couldn't believe that even with his rapid regeneration ability, Alan was still screaming as though the wounds hadn't been healed. The noise kept rising, and the drama escalated, while Alan believed the pain was still overwhelming him.

Gargroth (frustrated):

"Stop screaming already, you fool! You're fine!"

But Alan, in a dazed state, continued to complain while his body healed quickly. He was imagining the pain more than it actually was, thinking his body hadn't recovered yet.

Alan (turning to Gargroth):

"No, no, I'm definitely dying… I can feel it!"

Despite Gargroth's assurances that everything was fine, Alan continued to exaggerate his screams, as if his body hadn't healed. The drama was escalating to levels no one, not even Gargroth, expected.

Finally, after failing to convince him, Alan slowly turned to see that his body had healed completely, and he was beginning to regain his awareness, discovering that he wasn't in pain at all.

Alan (turning and smiling shyly):

"Wait… I'm fine? Oh… I guess I overreacted a bit."

Gargroth (angrily):

"Idiot!"

In the end, Alan gave a slight smile, realizing that the day would be filled with new comedic situations, just as it always was.

——————————————————

While Alan was contemplating Gargroth's angry expression, he didn't give a second thought to Kira's reaction to the dramatic scene. Suddenly, he heard a voice from behind him.

Kira (laughing softly):

"I can't believe you actually screamed like that! You were fine the whole time!"

Alan looked at her confused, not realizing that her laughter hinted at a completely different attitude. Kira had been watching from a distance as Alan acted like he was in a tragedy. Now, as she began laughing, Alan felt embarrassed but tried to justify his behavior.

Alan (shyly):

"I… I was just… I thought I was dying!"

Kira (continuing to laugh):

"Well, next time, just remember to stay calm. You might be invincible, but you're definitely not invulnerable to embarrassment."

Kira laughed again, and although Alan felt shy about his actions, he felt a little relieved that he wasn't alone at that moment. It was clear that Kira had enjoyed watching him exaggerate the pain, but she wanted him to improve.

Alan (with a slight smile):

"Yeah, I'll try to keep my cool next time… I guess I'm just not good at being dramatic."

Gargroth (dryly):

"Can we get moving now? I have better things to do than watch you embarrass yourself."

The road ahead of them was very long, and they were only at the beginning. The land was full of slopes and rough terrain, and every step reminded them that the road was far from easy.

Kira (beginning to walk):

"Let's go. We still have a long way to go."

They began walking again, each lost in their own thoughts. But Alan felt a sense of pride, despite the embarrassment he had just gone through, because at least now they had time to rest and prepare for more surprises.

The road was very long, but that didn't stop Alan from feeling that each step was bringing them closer to the next adventure, which would add more dramatic and comedic moments to their long journey.
