The Ruins of the Fineland Household.

Kora could see her life flash before her eyes, but then her body did not hit the hard ground as she had expected. Rather, she was caught in strong arms.

"Are you okay?" a voice asked, then slowly helped her stand on her feet. Her breath came in gasps, her vision blurry as she turned—and it was the last person she had expected.

"Kelvin?" she chuckled. Then relief washed over her as she slowly wrapped her hands around his neck.

"I thought I was going to die," she whispered, her voice choked as tears streamed down her pale face.

Kelvin pulled her close and patted her. He had felt something was off when Carl suddenly started crying.

The noise was too much; hence, he had decided to take him outside. But his nurse came just in time, and just as he was about to leave, he saw Kora falling from upstairs. It was luck at the right time.

"I'm happy nothing happened to you, but why did you fall?" Kelvin asked as he looked up—and there she was.
