They had successfully stopped the giant fish. A few minutes later, Nicole and Victoria were sitting on a chair, resting, when Branch suddenly perked up and gestured for them to follow him. Curious, the two girls followed until they reached a clearing—where they saw a familiar face.
"Mahishah?!" Nicole gasped, struggling not to freak out.
"Hi bestieee~!" Mahishah sang, waving cheerfully.
Before they could react, Branch, Hop Pop, and Polly ran up in a panic.
"The toads are invading the town!" Hop Pop shouted.
"Wait—who is she?" Polly asked, eyeing Mahishah suspiciously.
"This is Mahishah, our friend from back home," Nicole explained. "And this is Branch—our best friend in this world."
"Cooool!" Mahishah grinned. "Hiya, Polly!"
"But… what are we gonna do about the invading toads?" Polly said, frowning.
"Well… they're with me," Mahishah replied casually.
"Wait, what?" Nicole blinked. "Why are you here then?"
"Grime wants to throw a party at Toad Tower," Mahishah said, arms crossed. "This tadpole's calling it an 'invasion,' but we're just here to get everyone for the party."
"…Alright, I guess?" Victoria said, confused but going with it.

A few minutes later, they arrived at Toad Tower.
"Finally here!" Mahishah cheered.
"Whoa, this place is huge…" Nicole murmured, looking up in awe.
The toads led all the frogs—including Branch, Hop Pop, and Polly—into a big room labeled Party Room. Meanwhile, Nicole, Victoria, and Mahishah were having the time of their lives: relaxing in steaming frog-style baths, munching on pizza with bug toppings, and dipping crunchy swamp chips in tomato-slug ketchup.
Then Mahishah leaned in close with a mischievous grin.
"Hey… you guys know that frog who ran for mayor, right? Hop Pop?"
"Yeah?" Nicole said.
"Well…" Mahishah said darkly. "Grime's planning to feed him to that vine monster outside."
Just then, they cut to Grime tossing meat to a hulking, snarling vine monster chained in the tower courtyard.

Nicole's smile vanished. She stood up fast.
"I'll be right back. Victoria—keep Mahishah distracted!"
With that, Nicole dashed off down the corridor.
Meanwhile, in the Party Room, Branch narrowed his eyes.
"Hop Pop… don't you think this is kinda suspicious?"
"Suspicious?" Hop Pop grunted, stacking crab legs onto a platter. "Boy, help me with these crab legs!"
Branch rolled his eyes. "Ugh. Fine. But I'm gonna check something out."
He marched over to one of the toad guards near the door.
"Hey, why can't I leave this room?" he asked.
"Maybe after the party," the toad said coldly.
Branch raised a brow. "You seem nervous. What's going on?"
"Just enjoy the party," the toad snapped.
Branch didn't buy it. He jumped onto a table and yelled:
"THE TOADS ARE TRAPPING US HERE!"
Panic broke out. Frogs screamed, tripping over each other, trying to get to the barred windows and doors. They were sealed shut with thick iron bars.
Suddenly, Mahishah burst into the room.
"CADETS! REPORT TO GRIME FOR TRAINING! NOW!" she bellowed.
The toads froze. Then, like scared duckweed, they saluted and ran out in a panic.
…Except it wasn't Mahishah.
As soon as the toads left, "Mahishah" ripped off a fake wig and cloak.
It was Nicole.
Meanwhile, back in the bath chamber, Victoria was keeping the real Mahishah distracted with stories about there adventures in amphibia .
