Power System: Awakening of Abilities
In this world, the Three Realms — Demon, Elven, and Human — each have their unique powers that manifest in individuals. These powers are not universal, and each realm has its own rules and limitations regarding their awakening and growth. However, there are also rare abilities in all realms that are unrecorded, unnamed, and not fully understood, often defying the typical categorization of powers.
1. General Power Awakening:
Awakening Age: Individuals awaken their abilities between birth and 13 years old. After this age, no new powers can be awakened. While some may start weak, their strength lies in training and developing their one ability over time.
One Power: Every individual can only possess one power, but they can improve and master that power. For example, a person with fire abilities will never gain any other abilities, but through training, they can become a master of their fire powers.
2. The Types of Powers:
The powers within the Three Realms differ significantly. Some are elemental or magical, while others involve supernatural or unique abilities. However, certain abilities, especially in the Demon Realm, stand out because they are more rare and specialized.
Elemental Powers:
Fire: Users can summon and control flames, creating firestorms or manipulating heat for offense and defense.
Lightning: The ability to summon electricity, use it for fast movement, or strike with bolts.
Wind: Control over air currents, creating gusts, tornadoes, or flying.
Earth: The ability to manipulate the earth, shape terrain, or create earthquakes.
Water: Control over water in all its forms — from ice to liquid — and the power to manipulate tides or rain.
Other Elemental Powers: More rare abilities like metal, nature manipulation, and light can sometimes occur.
Magic and Supernatural Abilities:
Magic: Spells, rituals, summoning, and more. Magic can range from teleportation to healing or curse casting. It requires knowledge, study, and control.
Mind Control/Illusions: Some can manipulate thoughts, control minds, or create powerful illusions.
Ghost Manipulation: The ability to phase through objects, summon spirits, or control the afterlife is another rare ability.
3. Healing Abilities in the Three Realms:
Healing abilities exist in all three realms, but they vary greatly between them, particularly when it comes to the Demon Realm and its powerful monarchs.
Human and Elven Realms:
Healing Magic: Both humans and elves possess the ability to heal normal wounds and injuries. They can heal scrapes, cuts, bruises, and other common injuries, helping others recover from life-threatening wounds. However, healing magic has its limits:
No Regeneration of Limbs: Healing magic in both the Human and Elven Realms cannot regenerate lost limbs, re-grow arms, or rebuild severed body parts.
No Resurrection: Neither realm's healing powers can resurrect the dead. Once someone dies, there is no bringing them back with healing magic.
Use of Healing Magic: The healing abilities in these realms can be used in emergency situations, providing immediate relief to those on the brink of death from non-fatal injuries. Elves, known for their affinity with nature, are particularly skilled healers, while humans often rely on magical training to improve their healing skills.
Demon Realm:
Monarchs: Only the Monarchs in the Demon Realm have the most powerful self-healing abilities. They can heal themselves to a high degree, allowing them to recover from severe injuries quickly. Monarchs can even regenerate limbs and recover from otherwise mortal wounds.
Near-Immortality: The Monarchs' lifespan is extremely long, allowing them to live for millennia. Their healing abilities contribute to this extended lifespan, but they are not immortal. They can still be killed through extreme force or specialized methods, but their ability to regenerate and heal makes them very difficult to defeat.
Lords: Some high-ranking Lords in the Demon Realm also possess self-healing abilities, but their abilities are far weaker than those of the Monarchs. While they can heal minor wounds and bruises, they cannot regenerate limbs or heal serious injuries as the Monarchs can. Their healing is more focused on maintaining their battle readiness.
Other Demons (Thralls & Wretch): Lower-ranking demons, like Thralls and Wretch, have no self-healing abilities. They rely solely on weaponry and their strength in numbers. If they are injured, they are forced to rely on their comrades or external forces for healing, as they cannot heal themselves.
Demon Army: The Demon Realm has the largest population and army among the three realms. While the numbers of demons are vast, their healing abilities are limited to their higher-ranking members. The lower-ranking demons, such as Thralls and Wretch, make up the bulk of the army but cannot regenerate or heal themselves, relying instead on overwhelming strength and sheer numbers in battle.
4. Mysterious and Unnamed Abilities:
Across all three realms, there are mysterious, unnamed abilities that rarely manifest. These powers don't fit into the usual categories of magic or elemental abilities, and often, even their wielders don't fully understand them.
Rare Powers: These powers are unclassified and unrecorded, appearing in select individuals across the realms. Examples of these powers may include time manipulation, reality warping, or spatial control. They are unpredictable and often do not follow the same patterns as other abilities.
No Name: Because these powers are so rare, they have no names or classifications, and their potential is largely unknown. Even the most experienced sages, scholars, and monarchs struggle to study them.
Unstable Abilities: These powers can sometimes be uncontrollable, causing great harm to their users or even entire areas. Those who possess such powers may not even be able to fully harness them.
5. Elves and Demons: Rank and Limitations:
While humans can increase their strength and rank through training, Elves and Demons are different in that regard.
Elven Realm:
Fixed Rank: Once an elf's powers are awakened, their rank remains static. No matter how much they train or grow, elves cannot increase their rank or level up. They are born with specific abilities tied to nature and spirits, but these powers do not grow beyond their initial awakening.
Army Expansion: Instead of growing in strength, elves may gain more alliances, followers, or acquire greater knowledge to increase their influence.
Demon Realm:
Rank Restrictions: Demons, like elves, do not grow beyond the rank they are born with. However, only Monarchs, Lords, and Fiends can level up, evolving into more powerful beings with greater abilities.
Special Abilities: The majority of lower-ranking demons, like Thralls and Wretch, do not possess special abilities like darkness manipulation or soul extraction. They are limited to using weapons and relying on their numbers and physical strength.
Army Building: Lower-ranking demons do not level up but can recruit more soldiers to build their army. They may also gain special abilities by absorbing or acquiring powerful creatures or souls.
6. Humans and Their Rank System:
Awakening & Training: Humans can awaken their abilities at any point between birth and 13 years old. After that age, their powers remain fixed, but they can train and increase their rank through their efforts.
Ranks: Humans can progress through ranks, from Apprentice to Elite, and potentially even ISS-Class, depending on their dedication and training. They are the only race capable of leveling up and gaining new abilities through perseverance and battle experience.
