Dan nodded. "Fallen nobles. There are only two members of that family left. Their history is over 600 years old, but after the Frozen Night Murder, only their history remained. The only two remaining are my godchildren, and right now, they are businessmen. I already talked to them about you."
Louis nodded and looked at the ID.
The whole story about his birth, his parents, and siblings, as well as what happened the night of the Frozen Night Murder, was redacted.
'A mass murder that occurred in various parts of the Empire. Aimed especially at Von Habsburg, but with several more targets.'
"Do I need to know anything about this Mass Murder, who did it, or why?" he asked.
"Why they did it is still unknown, but Church deserters and corrupt nobles did it. Almost all the perpetrators have been caught and were sentenced to hang years ago. There is no danger at all. But it was a terrible night for the nation."
"I understand."
Louis stopped reading the document and looked at his uncle. "Anything else?" He asked.
"No, I was just coming to let you know these two things. I won't be able to come by very often these days, so I hope that's okay. If you need to move, feel free to do so and send me your new address. I've hired people to clean for you frequently." Dan stood up as he said this and put on the black hood he had brought.
"I look forward to your victory in your plans and will help you in any way I can with what you told me, " he said.
Louis nodded and dismissed him.
Being alone, he was finally able to pay attention to his stats.
He had 26 points to add, and his new level was 12.
Following Hardrial's teachings, he decided to increase his Intelligence. So, he added 16 points directly.
Then he evenly divided the last 10 points between Strength and Vitality.

That ensured he had a reasonably good strength, with a large amount of Mana. He didn't know if that would be enough for him when he had to cast Magic Bullets, but at least he wanted to be fully strengthened in that aspect.
Then he went to sleep.
--
The next morning, Louis went to the Academy first thing.
He learned a lot about theory and exciting, magical concepts. His keen interest in learning and ability to see the Threads allowed him to learn faster, shortening what he thought he was learning in one week to a single day.
That allowed, the next day, Louis to finally touch the threshold of knowledge that Hardrial was asking of him.
"I'm surprised you've made so much progress in just two days, but I think this is a good time to learn the practice, even if only a little." Hardrial said.
"The practice? Will I learn Arkanometric Fabric?" Louis asked quickly, and Hardrial nodded at him.
"You will learn the most basic, but important Runes of Power within Arkanoesis." Hardrial pulled out some scrolls that had them already done and placed them on the board.
At the same time, he pulled out an additional scroll, which was blank.
Laura, who was watching from the side, a little bored, immediately began to pay attention. Although they were basic, things she already knew, they were Runes of Power. There is always something new to learn from them, no matter how advanced you are.
Because they represent the stability and power of the World.
"For Armamentalists like us, there are three main Power Runes. Which are..." Hardrial pointed to Laura and urged her to speak and present the Power Runes on the scrolls on the board.
"Fire Bullet." She said, as Hardrial pointed out which one it was. "Water Bullet and Air Bullet."
"Good. Sit down." He spoke. "There are bullets of every element of nature, which means there's also Earth, but that one has a lot of quirks and is a bit more complex, so we'll focus on these three for now."
These are known as Level 1 Runes. Their unique Arkanometric Fabric creates Elemental Magification, either Fire, Air, or Water.
Their damage is low but they can kill if fired at close range. It also depends on the Intelligence of the caster.
In this case, it is kept in mind that Intelligence not only increases mana, but it also increases something called Magical Power. You can't see it, but it's there. It exists and must be taken very much into account, even though, at the moment, it is impossible to calculate.
'Incredible.' Louis thought, looking at the magnificent magic before him. He had yet to see someone cast it, but the theory alone sounded amazing.
An intense desire to learn it arose in his heart. His mind seemed to find a crucial focus, a moment that would fulfill the dreams of a child who wanted to live in a fantasy world.
Now it was all in front of him, and he had the opportunity to learn it.
'I wonder if I can learn this before I go to fulfill that mission...'
Although for that he would need to learn it in 24 hours, the time he had.
For a brief moment... he forgot something crucial.
His system was not like the rest.
[Ding]
The sound of the system startled him.

[Remaining Time: 23:59:59.]
For a moment, Louis almost put a hand to his head. The mistake he had made... it might cost him his first earned Negative Karma points.
'Having to learn those things in 24 hours? I really am crazy.'
The teacher had just said that many times, this learning took weeks or even months, while geniuses achieved it in a few weeks.
How was he going to learn it in 24 hours?
But suddenly, his mind remembered that he could see those strange threads, which, according to Hardrial, were the basis of these Fabrics.
Looking closer at the scrolls, he could notice this.
Indeed, those things were made of those threads.
'Maybe I have a chance?'
Although the idea of making it in 24 hours sounded far-fetched, he couldn't help but hope for it.
