Chapter 159: The Boss Revealed

The rain had slowed to a steady drizzle, but the battlefield still shimmered with the remnants of Riku's divine energy. Kavros Isen lay on the wet ground, bruised and battered, struggling to push himself up as Riku's silver-white aura flickered around him like a storm waiting to be unleashed.

Riku's calm, glowing eyes bore into Kavros, unwavering and cold.

"You're part of the group Gekido mentioned," Riku said, his voice low and sharp. "Tell me about the boss."

Kavros coughed, blood trailing from his lips, but shook his head fiercely.

"I will not tell you," he growled, struggling to stand.

Riku's aura flared brighter, energy crackling in the air like lightning.

"Then you will die here," Riku said with quiet finality.

Kavros' resolve wavered, his breath ragged.

"Wait… wait! I'll talk," he gasped, the fear finally breaking through.

Riku lowered his aura slightly but kept his stance ready.

Kavros swallowed hard, eyes darting nervously. "The boss… his name is Akuma Kurogane."

The name struck the air like thunder.

"He's the leader of our group—the real force behind everything you've faced. The ones you've fought so far… they're just low codes. The other five you haven't met are the High Codes, directly under him."

Riku's gaze sharpened, the weight of this revelation sinking in. His tone was cold but slightly amused.

"You would have been dead already if I hadn't wanted this information."

Kavros looked up in defeat.

"Take him," Riku commanded.

Within moments, Essence Guards and police reinforcements arrived, surrounding Kavros with heavy chains glowing with containment seals. They carefully locked him into a special seal box designed to suppress Essence powers.

As Kavros was hauled away, Riku's aura dimmed back to its usual silver-gray shimmer. The rain continued its gentle patter, washing away the battle's chaos.

Before leaving, Riku gave a final glance at Kavros.

"You've just made the fight easier for me. And harder for Akuma Kurogane."

The chapter ended with Riku standing tall amidst the storm, the weight of what was to come pressing down — but his resolve stronger than ever.
