Ryu who died found himself inside of the Great Elroe Labyrinth in an unusual body. 

After a few days in the labyrinth, he ran into a certain white spider
being chased by human adventurers.

"SAVE MEEE!" the spider shouted.

Ryu looked at her and...

Honestly, placing a spider in a place full of magma was a bit much.

Kumoko's willingness to endure this for herself moved Ryu Takeno.

"Shiro, don't move. I'll go get an orange—no, I'll catch you some delicious food." Ryu Takeno said, diving into the magma to search for prey.

Kumoko was shocked by Ryu Takeno's action.

"Takeno-kun! Are you alright!! Takeno-kun!!"

She ran to the edge of the magma, anxiously calling out to Ryu Takeno using telepathy.

Even with over a thousand defense, he was still a snake! How could he swim in magma!

Kumoko's understanding of snakes was based on Wakaba Hiiro's memories.

Her understanding wasn't wrong; even ordinary Gunerush couldn't swim in magma. Without heat immunity, even with hundreds of defense, they'd melt.

He possessed the Dragon Bloodline, naturally having heat immunity. Even if his Appraisal skill wasn't high enough to identify his skills, he had a feeling he wasn't afraid of the magma's heat.

A red snake head emerged from the magma—Ryu Takeno.

"I'm fine. Wait here; I'll get you a delicious meal."

Kumoko breathed a sigh of relief seeing Ryu Takeno was alright.

A delicious meal? In this hellish place? What kind of delicious meal could there be? There were strange monsters everywhere, one less palatable than the next. I've given up hoping they'll taste good; as long as I can eat them, it's fine.

(Elroe Fire Wyrm: A lower-level dragon-type monster inhabiting the middle layer of the Elroe Great Labyrinth. Omnivorous; it can swallow anything with its large mouth.)

Kumoko, bored, used Appraisal on the monster leisurely swimming in the magma.

As Ryu Takeno said, the creatures here all had stats around three hundred.

It was called a Fire Wyrm, but it looked more like a catfish.

Kumoko spotted it, and Ryu Takeno, submerged in the magma, also saw the plump catfish. He slowly swam below it, coiled his body, shot out like an arrow, bit the catfish's neck, quickly wrapped around its body, and tightened his grip.

The Elroe Fire Wyrm didn't even resist; the sound of breaking bones echoed from its body. Bones were crushed by the immense force, piercing its organs. The Elroe Fire Wyrm died from internal injuries and suffocation, then was tossed before Kumoko.

"This is the delicious meal Takeno-kun mentioned? It's just a normal catfish; nothing special." Kumoko circled the Fire Wyrm, seeing nothing unusual, looking suspiciously at Ryu Takeno.

Is this catfish really delicious? Is this Takeno-kun's prank?

Ah, the catfish is really delicious!

In her spider life, this was the first food she could call delicious. It felt unreal, like a dream, so she took another bite to confirm.

Though compared to the food in her past life, it wasn't particularly amazing; it was just okay. But compared to the food she'd eaten before, it was a delicacy.

Kumoko, savoring the food, looked up and saw Ryu Takeno looking at her enviously.

"Takeno-kun, aren't you eating? You were right; it's a truly delicious meal!"
