Defeating The Demon Lord

Soon, the battle between the two succubi, the demon lord and veyron began. the succubi's illusions where useless on a puppet. so as soon as they came to Veyron who was trying to be a gentleman, they got swatted away as flies who had dropped on milk.

Now that the milk was clean, it was time to make some cheese. For that, he took one demon lord.

[AN: XD, it somehow became a cooking show lol.]

"You bastard! How dare you try to—" The demon lord was about to speak when he suddenly paused. His heart started beating very fast. bdump bdump

And then... it stopped.

Why?

It was because of the fucking monster that he saw standing before him. One who didn't walk in time, but commanded it.

"Chronoblade Sword Art: First Form," the voice echoed like the ticking of a celestial clock.

"Temporal Rend."

The demon lord blinked—and in that instant, he realized something horrifying. His arm was raised, yet the attack he had begun to launch... never happened. One second of his existence, his intent, his momentum — gone, as if time itself had refused to let him act.

"...What... did you just do to me?" the demon lord whispered, a cold sweat running down his back.

The swordsman didn't reply.

He just stepped forward, and time trembled with each step.

The world around them distorted. The sky flickered between dusk and dawn in the blink of an eye. Leaves from a nearby tree fell in reverse, rose back up, and disintegrated mid-air.

"You…" the demon lord growled, trying to gather himself. "You think a mere trick can stop me?!"

With a roar, he surged forward, dark energy crackling across his massive frame.

But then—

Another Pause.

He stopped mid-charge, eyes widening in horror.

His body had moved. But his attack didn't. His magic hadn't even ignited.

He looked down. His claws were clenched—but they had always been clenched. That whole second of unleashing his power had never existed.

The swordsman was already beside him. Close. Too close.

"Don't try to act in my time," the swordsman whispered, his voice calm, as if explaining a rule of nature.

The demon lord lashed out in panic, swinging a clawed hand, tearing through wind—

But not through him.

The swordsman had already stepped out of that moment.

"Chronoblade Sword Art: First Form – Temporal Rend."

A horizontal slash cut nothing… yet everything. The demon lord stumbled back, mouth open to cast a spell—

And found the incantation was already gone from his lips.

That second, too, had been severed.

"You bastard!" he screamed. "Stop playing with me! FIGHT ME PROPERLY!"

The swordsman lifted his blade again. Calm. Still.

"You're the one who chose to fight a god."

Around them, the ground fractured in ancient glyphs—clock hands rotating beneath their feet as time began unraveling further.

The demon lord's breath quickened. He could feel it now — not just cuts to his flesh, but cuts to his existence. A dozen tiny pieces of time had already been shaved from his life.

Moments he would never get back.

Moments where he should have dodged, countered, or killed.

Instead, he was bleeding — not from wounds, but from absence.

He fell to one knee, growling. Not yet. Not yet. He wouldn't die. Not like this.

Not by the hands of this—

This abomination.

---

The demon lord trembled on one knee, his breath ragged, his body coated in sweat and residual magic. His eyes, once glowing with unshakable confidence, now flickered with primal fear.

He roared one last time, desperate, summoning every ounce of his ancient power."I AM ETERNAL! I COMMAND DARKNESS AND FLAME! YOU CANNOT ERASE ME—"

The swordsman lifted his blade.

And time stood still.

Literally.

The wind halted. The clouds froze mid-drift. Even the flickering torches miles away in his infernal castle ceased to burn.

In that silent void, the swordsman whispered:

"Chronoblade Sword Art: Second Form — Hourglass Reversal."

A thin ring of golden light flared around the demon lord's body, inscribed with countless ticking runes. The ground beneath him cracked, not from force, but from temporal feedback. Time itself recoiled.

He blinked—

And then he saw it.

His life.

In reverse.

The deaths he caused. The throne he claimed. The rise. The war. The ritual. His first kill. His first step. His first breath.

All of it unraveling at once.

"No—no, STOP!" he screamed, trying to move, but the world was unresponsive. Reality had turned into glass, and it was shattering.

The swordsman stepped forward.

And drove the blade straight through the ring of time.

CRACK.

The hourglass broke.

The demon lord didn't just die.

He was sent backward, forcefully, violently — through his timeline, faster and faster, until there was nothing left to go back to.

No point of origin. No memory. No existence.

Just an empty void where a soul had once been.

Where he had once stood, there was now only falling sand, fading into the wind.

The swordsman lowered his weapon. The golden light dimmed. The moment passed.

And time, once again, marched forward.

[....]

"So... You guys are saying....that you wiped the entire demon territory... in a single hour?" Victor asked again, thinking that he might've heard wrong.

"Yes, My Leige." all the knights said in Unison.

I thought these demons might help with some practice, but from what I am seeing, they were just targets to be one-shotted.' Victor thought as he face-palmed.

"Ah... whatever. did you find the source of all this nether?", victor said sensing all of this nether Qi.

"Yes, my liege, it is a weird crystal that is releasing nether in such an amount that the surrounding Spiritual Energy cannot keep up. Hence, the result is the devastation of this land.", said Veyron.

"Oh? Where is it? Take me there.", said Victor.

Soon the arrived at the location of the crystal. the crystal was the size of a dragon egg. and was unbreakable by sword.

'Oracle, what is it?'

[Young Master, I think it is a Yinmarrow Death Crystal, it is a form of crystal that can only be formed artificially when a lot of nether energy gets collected in an area.]

Oracle still has a telepathic vision and telepathic voice feature installed in it's new body. so victor can still talk with it. but oracle will not be able to command the system or it will need to shut down it's new body.

[Something like this shouldn't be possible to exist in these landsOneee might find one in the demon continent, but anywhere else, it is highly unlikely. ofcouse it is very common in the Nether Immortal Realm, though.]

The Nether Immortal/Transcendance Realm. it is a realm which one crosses when demons reach the transcendence cultivation realms.

"Oh. System keeps this Yinmarrow Death Crystal in the Inventory."

Victor is still not able to find out how big his pocket dimension is. But he will find it, surely, in the future. It cannot be infinite. Right?

Anyways, as soon as the nether crystal got taken from its surroundings, a formation suddenly broke, and all of the nether energy started dispersing at a rapid pace.

The continent was not able to do anything to this land because this continent is the weakest of all. There are so less people with the Paragon Realm. And barely does someone even visit this continent. And those people, too, are only those who somehow lost their way. Victor had made a very fragile lie. But since he had his strength, or should we say.. system, strength to back it up. It worked out just fine.

After about an hour, all of the nether energy on these lands was neutralised, and the Forsaken lands were filled with the Spiritual Energy. Since this nether energy here has been around for thousands of years, there is no data kept on how it came here. The only reason the people could come up was that the land was cursed. And since these people had never come in contact with either energy, and there was only a mention about it in the historical records of this continent, everyone bought it.

Of course, someone did try to find 'real reasons', but when they left and never came back, everyone's beliefs just got reinforced. And soon that belief turned into reality, even if it was not real.

Anyway, not all of the nether Qi was dispersed. Now it was time to rebuild these lands.

Soon, Victor and the party teleported outside the city. Victor took out a golden cube from his inventory that grew a bit in size and dropped on the ground with a thump.

*thump*

"hm let's see, I do not need this city because it is poorly planned and doesn't even fits my tastes.", said victor thinking. heck who would want to live in a worn and torn castle owned by a bunch of demons? victor will surely not!

After giving the command to the reddish-orange cube that glowed ominously even in daylight, several hundred worker drones came out and started taking down the city.

"You guys setup the camp. taking down a whole demon city, even though it had only a thousand or more inhabitants will still take some time. and there is even a castle. it might take us whole day to finish it all. after setting up the camp you all can rest or do whatever you want."

"Yes Sir!", soon the knights started setting up the camp. victor ordered them to go and hunt something good to eat as well. it was about to be night and victor would soon sleep. although he might be fine not eating for 3-4 days but why should he do it?

Soon, someone hunted a Nether Deer and started taking out the meat.

Using the spiritual Qi, the knights were able to purify the meat and make it taste like just ordinary meat.

After they had dinner, victor cultivated for 3-4 hours since it was still not night yet. after the cultivation, victor felt that he was very close to reaching the end of the minor realm and break through in second stage of the desciple realm for Qi cultivation. although it might still take him a week or so on the other realms. but still.

Most people take months or even years to complete a minor realm. and victor? hehe, he is finishing minor realms as if he is taking a jogging session. And Foundation? it was already perfectly stable since he didn't cultivate seriously before. but now that he knows that there are 20-30 or even 40 realms above him... he cannot rest by. he needs to be the strongest.

Or he will be pushed around just like in his previous life.

Anyways, after the cultivation session, he slept.

Before sleeping, a thought came into his mind..

"What might evelynn be doing? i did order my clone to tell her so that she doesn't shares anything intimate with him." heh, if victor's clone even tried to touch her, heh.. he will lock the puppet in his basement, and make the knights stab a metal rod on his back while constantly making him drink healing elixers.

[A.N.: I was a bit busy today, so I wasn't able to give the two chapters on time. Here are about 700 words extra as an apology :) Also, I am slowly improving my writing issues because it is my first novel.]
